1ထိုသို့မိန့်မြွက် တော်မူပြီးမှယေရှု သည် တပည့် တော်တို့နှင့်အတူ ကေဒြုန် ချောင်း တစ်ဘက် သို့ကြွ ၍၊ ထိုအရပ် ၌ရှိ သော ဥယျာဉ် သို့ ဝင် တော်မူ၏။
1When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he and his disciples entered.
2ထို အရပ်သို့ယေရှု သည် တပည့် တော်တို့နှင့်အတူ သွား မြဲ ရှိသောကြောင့် ၊ ကိုယ်တော် ကို အပ်နှံ သော ယုဒ ရှကာရုတ်သည် ထိုအရပ် ကိုသိ သည်ဖြစ်၍၊
2Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples.
3စစ်သူရဲ တစ်တပ်ကို၎င်း ၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အကြီးတို့နှင့် ဖာရိရှဲ တို့စေလွှတ်သောမင်း လုလင်တို့ကို၎င်း ခေါ် ခဲ့ ၍၊ မီးအိမ် ၊ မီးရှူး ၊ လက်နက် တို့ကို လက်စွဲလျက်လာ ကြ၏။
3Judas then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
4ယေရှု သည် ကိုယ်တော် ၌ ဖြစ်လတံ့ သမျှ သော အမှုအရာ တို့ကိုသိ တော်မူလျက်၊ လာသောသူ တို့ဆီသို့သွား ၍ အဘယ်သူ ကိုရှာ ကြသနည်း ဟု မေး တော်မူ၏။
4Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went out and said to them, “Who are you looking for?”
5နာဇရက် မြို့သားယေရှု ကိုရှာကြသည်ဟုဆို လျှင်၊ ယေရှုက၊ ငါ သည်ထိုသူဖြစ် ၏ ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။ ကိုယ်တော် ကိုအပ်နှံ သော ယုဒ ရှကာရုတ်သည်လည်း ထိုသူ တို့နှင့်အတူ ရပ် နေ၏။
5They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.” Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
6ငါ သည် ထို သူဖြစ်၏ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊ ထိုသူ တို့သည် နောက် သို့ လှန် ၍ မြေ ပေါ်၌လဲ ကြ၏။
6When therefore he said to them, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground.
7အဘယ်သူ ကိုရှာ သနည်းဟု တစ်ဖန် မေး တော်မူလျှင် ၊ နာဇရက် မြို့သားယေရှု ကို ရှာကြသည်ဟု ထိုသူတို့ သည် ဆို ကြ၏။
7Again therefore he asked them, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
8ယေရှု ကလည်း၊ ငါ သည်ထို သူဖြစ် ၏ဟုငါပြော ပြီ။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ငါ့ ကိုရှာ လျှင် ဤသူ တို့သည် သွား ပါလေစေ ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
8Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,”
9ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ် အား ပေး တော်မူသောသူ တို့တွင် အဘယ်သူ မျှပျက်စီး ခြင်းသို့ မ ရောက်ပါ ဟူသော အထက် က စကား တော်ကို ပြည့်စုံ စေခြင်းငှာ ဤသို့မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
9that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”
10ထိုအခါ ရှိမုန် ပေတရု သည် မိမိ၌ပါ သောဓား ကိုဆွဲထုတ် ပြီးလျှင် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း၏ ကျွန် တစ်ယောက်ကို ခုတ် သဖြင့် လက်ျာ နားရွက် ပြတ် လေ၏။ ထိုကျွန် ၏ အမည် ကားမာလခု ဖြစ်သတည်း။
10Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.
11ယေရှု ကလည်း ဓား ကိုအိမ် ၌ သွင်း ထားလော့။ ခမည်းတော် သည် ငါ့ အား ပေး တော်မူသောခွက် ကို ငါ မ သောက် ရာသလော ဟု ပေတရု အားမိန့် တော်မူ၏။
11Jesus therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”
12ထိုအခါ တပ်မှူး မှစ၍ စစ်သူရဲ တို့နှင့် ယုဒ မင်း လုလင်တို့သည် ယေရှု ကိုဘမ်းဆီး၍ ချည်နှောင် ပြီးလျှင် အန္နတ် မင်းထံသို့ ရှေးဦးစွာ ယူသွား ကြ၏။
12So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews seized Jesus and bound him,
13အန္နတ် မင်းကား၊ ထို နှစ် တွင် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်းဖြစ် သော ကယာဖ ၏ယောက္ခမ ဖြစ် သတည်း။
13and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.
14ထို ကယာဖ ကား၊ လူ တစ် ယောက်သည် လူ များတို့အတွက် ပျက်စီး သော် သာ၍ကောင်း သည်ဟု ယုဒ လူ တို့နှင့် တိုင်ပင် ပြောဆိုသောသူ ပေတည်း။
14Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was expedient that one man should perish for the people.
15ရှိမုန် ပေတရု နှင့် အခြား သောတပည့် တော်တစ်ယောက်သည် ယေရှု နောက်တော်သို့ လိုက် ကြ၏။ ထို တပည့် တော်သည် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း၏ အသိအကျွမ်း ဖြစ် ၍ ၊ ယေရှု နှင့်တကွယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း၏ အိမ်ဦး ထဲသို့ ဝင် လေ၏။
15Simon Peter followed Jesus, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with Jesus into the court of the high priest;
16ပေတရု မူကား ပြင် ၌ တံခါး နားမှာရပ် နေ၏။ ထိုကြောင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်းနှင့်အကျွမ်းဝင် သော တပည့် တော်သည်ထွက် ၍ တံခါးစောင့် မိန်းမအားပြော ပြီးမှ ပေတရု ကိုသွင်း လေ၏။
16but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter.
17တံခါးစောင့် မိန်းမ ကပေတရု အား၊ သင် သည် ထို သူ ၏တပည့် တို့အဝင် ဖြစ် သည် မ ဟုတ်လောဟုဆို လျှင် ၊ မ ဟုတ် ဘူးဟု ပေတရု ငြင်း လေ၏။
17Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, “Are you also one of this man’s disciples?” He said, “I am not.”
18ထို ကာလ၌ ချမ်း သောကြောင့် ကျွန် များနှင့် မင်း လုလင်များတို့သည် မီးခဲ ပုံကိုထည့်၍ မီးလှုံ လျက် နေ ကြ၏။ ပေတရု သည်လည်း သူ တို့နှင့်တကွ ရပ် ၍ မီးလှုံ လျက်နေ ၏။
18Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
19ထိုအခါ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်းသည် တပည့် တော်တို့ကို၎င်း ၊ ဒေသနာ တော်ကို၎င်း အကြောင်း ပြု၍ ယေရှု ကို မေးမြန်း စစ်ကြော၏။
19The high priest therefore asked Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching.
20ယေရှု ကလည်း၊ ငါ သည်လောက ၌ ထင်ရှား စွာဟောပြော ပြီ။ ယုဒ လူအပေါင်း တို့ စည်းဝေး ရာ တရားစရပ် ၌ ၎င်း ၊ ဗိမာန် တော်၌ ၎င်း၊ အစဉ်မပြတ် ဆုံးမ ဩဝါဒပေးပြီ။ မ ထင်ရှားဘဲ အလျှင်း မဟော မပြော။
20Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret.
21အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငါ့ ကို မေးမြန်း သနည်း၊ ငါသည် အဘယ်သို့ ဟောပြောသည် ကို ကြားနာ သောသူ တို့ကို မေးမြန်း လော့။ ငါ ပြော သောစကားကို ထိုသူ တို့သည်သိ ကြ၏ ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။
21Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. Behold, they know the things which I said.”
22ထိုသို့ မိန့် တော်မူလျှင်၊ အနီးအပါး၌ရပ် နေသော မင်းလုလင် တစ်ယောက်က၊ သင်သည် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်းကို ဤသို့ ပြန်ပြော ရသလောဟုဆို လျက် ယေရှု ကိုရိုက် လေ၏။
22When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Jesus with his hand, saying, “Do you answer the high priest like that?”
23ယေရှု ကလည်း၊ ငါ့စကား မမှန် လျှင် မမှန် ကြောင်း ကိုပြ ပါ မှန် လျှင် ငါ့ ကိုအဘယ်ကြောင့် ရိုက် သနည်း ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
23Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?”
24အန္နတ် မင်းသည် ကိုယ်တော် ကိုချည်နှောင် လျက် ရှိသည်အတိုင်း၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း ကယာဖ ထံသို့ ပို့ စေခဲ့ပြီ။
24Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the high priest.
25ရှိမုန် ပေတရု သည် ရပ် ၍ မီးလှုံ လျက်နေသည်တွင် အချို့သောသူတို့က၊ သင် သည် သူ ၏တပည့် တို့ အဝင် ဖြစ် သည်မဟုတ် လောဟု မေး လျှင် ၊ မ ဟုတ် ဘူးဟု ပေတရု ငြင်း လေ၏။
25Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”
26ပေတရု ခုတ်၍ နားရွက် ပြတ် သောသူ နှင့်ပေါက်ဘော် တော် သော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း၏ ကျွန် တစ် ယောက်က၊ သင် သည် ဥယျာဉ် ၌ ယေရှု နှင့်အတူ ရှိသည်ကို ငါ မြင် ခဲ့ပြီမ ဟုတ်လောဟုဆို လျှင်၊
26One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”
27ပေတရု သည် တစ်ဖန် ငြင်း ပြန်လေ၏၊ ထိုခဏခြင်း တွင်ကြက် တွန် ၏။
27Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.
28နံနက် အချိန်ရောက် လျှင်၊ ယေရှု ကိုကယာဖ ထံမှ အိမ်တော်ဦး သို့ ဆောင်သွား ကြ၏။ ထိုသူတို့သည် အာပတ် နှင့်ကင်းလွတ် ၍ ပသခါ ပွဲကို ခံရမည်အကြောင်း ။ အိမ်တော်ဦး ထဲသို့ ကိုယ်တိုင်မ ဝင် ကြ။
28They led Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.
29ထိုကြောင့် ပိလတ် မင်းသည် သူ တို့ရှိရာသို့ ထွက် ၍ ဤ သူ ၌အဘယ် အပြစ် ကို တင် ကြသနည်းဟု မေး သော်၊
29Pilate therefore went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”
30ဤသူ သည်လူဆိုး မ ဟုတ် လျှင် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော် ၌မ အပ် ပါဟုလျှေက် ကြ၏။
30They answered him, “If this man weren’t an evildoer, we wouldn’t have delivered him up to you.”
31ပိလတ် မင်းကလည်း၊ သူ့ ကိုယူ ၍ သင် တို့ ဓမ္မသတ် အတိုင်း စီရင် ကြဟုဆို ၏။ ယုဒ လူတို့ကလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ် သည် အဘယ်သူ ကိုမျှ မ သတ် ပိုင်ပါဟုလျှောက် ကြ၏။
31Pilate therefore said to them, “Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.” Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is illegal for us to put anyone to death,”
32ထိုသို့လျှောက်သော်၊ ယေရှု သည်အဘယ်သို့ မိမိ သေ ရမည်အရိပ် ကိုပေး၍၊ မိန့် တော်မူသောစကား တော် ပြည့်စုံ မည်အကြောင်း တည်း။
32that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
33ပိလတ် မင်းသည် အိမ်တော်ဦး ထဲသို့ တစ်ဖန် ဝင် ၍ယေရှု ကိုခေါ် ပြီးလျှင် ၊ သင် သည် ယုဒ ရှင်ဘုရင် မှန် သလောဟုမေး ၏။
33Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Jesus, and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
34ယေရှု ကလည်း၊ မင်းကြီး သည် ကိုယ် အလိုအလျောက် ဤသို့ မေး သလော၊ သို့မဟုတ် သူတစ်ပါး တို့သည် ငါ ၏အကြောင်း ကို လျှောက် ကြပြီလော ဟု မေး တော်မူ၏။
34Jesus answered him, “Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?”
35ပိလတ် မင်းက၊ ငါ သည်ယုဒ လူဖြစ် သလော။ သင် ၏လူမျိုး နှင့်တကွ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အကြီးတို့သည် သင့် ကိုငါ ၌အပ် ကြပြီ။ သင်သည် အဘယ်သို့ ပြု မိသနည်းဟုမေး လျှင်၊
35Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”
36ယေရှု က၊ ငါ ၏နိုင်ငံ သည် ဤ လောက နှင့်မ စပ်ဆိုင် ။ ငါ ၏နိုင်ငံ သည် ဤ လောက နှင့် စပ်ဆိုင် လျှင် ၊ ငါသည် ယုဒ လူတို့လက်သို့မ ရောက် စေခြင်းငှာ ၊ ငါ ၏လူ တို့သည် တိုက်လှန် ကြလိမ့်မည် ။ ယခု မူကား ငါ ၏နိုင်ငံ သည် ဤ ဒေသအရပ်နှင့်မ စပ်ဆိုင် ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
36Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
37ပိလတ် မင်းကလည်း၊ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် သင် သည်ရှင်ဘုရင် မှန် သလောဟုမေး သော် ၊ ယေရှု က၊ မင်းကြီး မေး သည်အတိုင်း ငါသည်ရှင်ဘုရင် မှန် ၏။ သမ္မာတရား ဘက်၌ သက်သေခံ ခြင်းငှာ ငါ သည်မွေးဘွား ခြင်းကိုခံ၍ ဤ လောက သို့ ကြွလာ ပြီ။ သမ္မာတရား နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင် သမျှ သောသူ တို့သည် ငါ့ စကား ကိုနားထောင် ကြသည် ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
37Pilate therefore said to him, “Are you a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
38ပိလတ် မင်းကလည်း၊ သမ္မာတရား ကား အဘယ်သို့ နည်းဟုမေး ပြီးမှ တဖန် ယုဒ လူတို့ရှိရာသို့ ထွက် ၍၊ ဤသူ ၌ အဘယ် အပြစ် ကိုမျှ ငါ မတွေ့ ။
38Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” When he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
39ပသခါ ပွဲ၌ လူတစ် ယောက်ကို သင် တို့အားငါလွှတ် မြဲထုံးစံ ရှိ သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ယုဒ ရှင်ဘုရင် ကို လွှတ် စေ ချင် သလောဟု မေး လျှင်၊
39But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore, do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
40တစ်ဖန် လူအပေါင်းတို့က၊ ဤသူ ကို မ လွှတ်စေချင်ပါ၊ ဗာရဗ္ဗ ကို လွှတ်စေချင်ပါသည်ဟု အော်ဟစ် ၍လျှောက်ဆို ကြ၏။ ထို ဗာရဗ္ဗ ကား ဓားပြ ဖြစ် သတည်း။
40Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.
