King James Version with Apocrypha
Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
1Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
1A LAO kotin molipe pena ekriamen oko, ap kotiki on irail kel o manaman, en kaloedi tewil akan karoj o kakelada me jomau kan.
2And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
2I ari kotin porone ir ala, pwen padapadak duen wein Kot o kakelada me jomau kan.
3And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
3O a kotin majani on irail: Komail der wala meakot pon al o: Jota jokon, de ed, de prot, de moni, amen pil jo pan wa jakit riau.
4And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
4O waja kij me komail pan pedelon on nan im eu, komail pan mimieta waja o, komail lao kowei jan ia.
5And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
5O meamen kan kajamo komail, komail japalewei jan kanim o, o jipede jan pwel ni na omail, pwen kadede on irail.
6And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
6Irail ari kokola, kakan jili nan kijin kanim akan, padaki ronamau o kakelada me jomau kan waja karoj.
7¶ Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;
7A nanmarki Erodej lao mani duen meakan, me wiauiki i, ap pinidar, pweki akai katitiki, me dene loanej iajadar jan ren me melar akan.
8And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.
8A akai indada, me dene Eliaj pwarado, o akai me inda, me dene jaukop en kaua men iajadar,
9And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
9A Erodej majani: loanej, i me i lepuke jan mon a, a ij men et, me i kin roneron due? A ap men udial i.
10¶ And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
10A wanporon akan lao pure doer, ap kaireki i karoj, me re wiadar. I ari kotin uk irail ada, kotilan waja rir, nan kanim eu, me ad a Petjaida.
11And the people, when they knew it , followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
11Toun jap o lao ajaer, rap idauenla i, i ari kotin kajamo irail, o kotin padaki on irail duen wein Kot, o kotin kakelada me mau on.
12And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
12A lao pan waja ponier, ekriamen potodo potoan on i: Re kotin kadar pajan pokon en, pwen kola nan kijin kanim akan o nan jap, en rapaki wajan pweidi o kan ar kijin mana, pwe kitail kotikot nan jap tan wet,
13But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.
13A a kotin majani on irail: Komail pan ki on irail kan ar mana! Re potoan on: Lopon prot eta limau o mam eta riamen mi re at. De je pan kola netie don pokon kalaimun wet mana?
14For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.
14Pwe irail me ol impan lime kid. A a kotin majani on japwilim a tounpadak kan: Komail pwini ir pajan wad limek o limek!
15And they did so, and made them all sit down.
15Irail ari wiada o kamod irail edi.
16Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.
16A kotin limada lopon prot limau o mam riamen, majanda nanlan, laolaoki, pilitiki pena, kotiki on japwilim a tounpadak kan, pwe ren nene on pokon o.
17And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.
17Irail jak, o karoj medier, ap rikada dodo eijokriau luan kama dip O.
18¶ And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?
18Kadekadeo ni a kotin laolao kelep, japwilim a tounpadak kan ian i. A kotin kainoma re ’rail majani: Ij me aramaj kin inda me nai?
19They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say , Elias; and others say , that one of the old prophets is risen again.
19Irail japen potoan on: Ioanej jaunpaptaij, a akai me inda Eliaj, o pil akai kin inda, me dene jaukop en kaua men iajadar.
20He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
20A kotin majani on irail: A da me komail kin inda ij nai? Petruj ap japen potoan on: Ir me Krijtuj japwilim en Kot.
21And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;
21A i me kotin padik inapwiedi irail, ren der indan meamen mepukat,
22Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
22Majani: Nain aramaj pan kalokolok laud, o lokidokila ren jaumaj, o jamero lapalap, o jaunkawewe kan, o a pan kamela, o ni ran kajilu a pan maureda,
23¶ And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
23Ap kotin majani on irail karoj: Meamen men idauen ia I en tonmeteki pein i o ale a lopu ni ran karoj, o idedauen ia do.
24For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
24Pwe meamen kanakanai on maur a, pan pupe jan. A meamen kajela maur a pweki nai, pan diarada.
25For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
25Pwe da me pan mau on aramaj amen, me aneki pena jappa karoj, ap kajela pein i o kajapokela pein I?
26For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.
26Pwe me kin namenok kin ia o ai padak kan, i me Nain aramaj pil pan namenokki, a lao kodo ni a linan, o linan en Jam a, o na tounlan jaraui kan.
27But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
27A melel I indai on komail, akai irail, me mi met, jota pan mela, irail lao udial wein Kot.
28¶ And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
28A kadekadeo murin pon walu pon murin majan pukat i ap ukada Petruj, o Ioanej, o Jakopuj kotidala pon nana o pwen laolao.
29And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

30And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
30A kilan, ol riamen ian i majan pena! Ira me Mojej o Eliaj.
31Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
31Ira pwarado ni ara linan o mamajani duen a pan kamatala nan Ierujalem.
32But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
32A Petruj o me ian i me toutouki mair. Ira lao pirida, re ap udial a linan o ol riamen kotikot impa.
33And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
33Kadekadeo ira lao kotiwei jan re a, Petruj ap indan Iejuj: Main, meid mau atail kotikot met. Kit en kauada kijin im jilikij: Tanpaj ar, o en Mojej, o en Eliaj; a jaja me a kajokajoi.
34While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
34Ni a kajokajoi mepukat, pali en dapok kadupal irail edi, irail ari majakadar ni ar tilon nan dapok o.
35And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
35O nil eu peidido jan nan dapok o majani: let nai ol kompok, komail en ron i!
36And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
36A nil wet lao wiauier, re ap diaradar Iejuj ta. Ir ari nenen lata; o ni ran oko re jota kaireki meamen duen me re kilaner.
37¶ And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

38And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
38A kilan, ol amen nan pokon o nil laudeda potoan on: Jaunpadak, i poeki re ir, re kotin majani don ai tunol putak o, pwe iei ai ieroj.
39And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.
39Re kotin mani, nen o lao koledi i, a kin madan weriwer, a kin jenjeroki jili, a ap kin pudopud o meid apwal ni a kin koiei jan i.
40And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

41And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
41A Iejuj kotin japen majani: o di wet meid jopojon o japun, ia arain ai pan mimi re omail? la arain ai pan kokoa komail? Wa don ia noum putak!
42And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him . And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
42A ni a kokodo, tewil ap kapururada o jeroki jili i, a Iejuj kotin kidaueda nen jaut o, o kakelada putak o, ap kapure on i ren jam a.
43¶ And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,
43A irail karoj puriamuiki manaman en Kot. A ni ar puriamuiki en Iejuj a wiawia kan ap kotin majani on japwilim a tounpadak kan:
44Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.
44Majan pukat en kaloledi nan jalon omail: Nain aramaj pan panala ni pa en aramaj.
45But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
45A irail jota weweki majan wet, pwe a rir jan irail, i me irail jajaki. Irail ari majak kalelapok re a duen majan pot et.
46¶ Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
46Irail ap pil lamelame, ij me pan lapalap re ’rail?
47And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
47A Iejuj lao kotin mani ar lamelam nan monion arail, ap ale jeri men, kida impa a,
48And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
48O majani on irail: Meamen pan apwali kijin jeri men et ni ad ai, nan a kin apwali ia, a meamen pan apwali ia, nan a kin apwali, me kadar ia do; a me tikitik re omail, nan i me pan lapalapala.
49¶ And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
49Ioanej ap japen potoan on: Main, je kilaner amen, me kau jewei tewil akan ni mar ar. Kit ari inapwiedi, pwe a jota kin ian kit idedauen ir.
50And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
50A Iejuj kotin majani on i: Eder inapiedi, pwe me jo kin palian komail, nan a kin ian komail.
51¶ And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

54And when his disciples James and John saw this , they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

55A i kotin jaupeido, kapun on ira majani: Koma jota aja ij Nen, me naina kin koma?
56For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them . And they went to another village.

57¶ And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
57Kadekadeo ni arail kotikot kokodo amen ap potoan on i: Main i pan idedauen ir waja karoj me re pan kotila ia.
58And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
58Iejuj kotin majani on i: Pokj akan por ar mia, o manpir en pan lan paj ar mia, a Nain aramaj jota waja en kaula wei mon a.
59And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
59A kotin majani on amen: Idauen ia do! A i indada: Main, komui kotin mueid on ia maj, i en purela jarepedi jam ai.
60Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

61And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

62And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
62A Iejuj kotin majani on i: Jota me pan koledi men weirada pwel, ap kilan muri, a jota koiok on wein Kot.
