1Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
1Еу, Павел, вэ рог, прин блындеця ши бунэтатя луй Христос – еу, чел „смерит кынд сунт де фацэ ын мижлокул востру ши плин де ындрэзнялэ ымпотрива воастрэ кынд сунт департе” –
2But I beseech you , that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
2вэ рог, дар, сэ ну мэ фачець ка, атунч кынд вой фи де фацэ, сэ алерг ку хотэрыре ла ындрэзняла ачея пе каре ам де гынд с-о ынтребуинцез ымпотрива унора каре ышь ынкипуе кэ ной сунтем мынаць де фиря пэмынтяскэ.
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
3Мэкар кэ трэим ын фиря пэмынтяскэ, тотушь ну не луптэм кэлэузиць де фиря пэмынтяскэ.
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
4Кэч армеле ку каре не луптэм ной ну сунт супусе фирий пэмынтешть, чи сунт путерниче, ынтэрите де Думнезеу ка сэ сурпе ынтэритуриле.
5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
5Ной рэстурнэм изводириле минций ши орьче ынэлциме каре се ридикэ ымпотрива куноштинцей луй Думнезеу, ши орьче гынд ыл фачем роб аскултэрий де Христос.
6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
6Ындатэ че се ва сэвырши аскултаря ачаста дин партя воастрэ, сунтем гата сэ педепсим орьче неаскултаре.
7Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.
7Ла ынфэцишаре вэ уйтаць? Дакэ чинева креде кэ „есте ал луй Христос”, сэ айбэ ын ведере кэ, дупэ кум ел есте ал луй Христос, тот аша сунтем ши ной.
8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
8Ши кяр дакэ м-аш лэуда чева май мулт ку стэпыниря пе каре мь-а дат-о Домнул пентру зидиря воастрэ, яр ну пентру дэрымаря воастрэ, тот ну мь-ар фи рушине.
9That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
9Зик аша, ка сэ ну се парэ кэ вряу сэ вэ ынфрикошез прин епистолеле меле.
10For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
10„Де фапт”, зик ей, „епистолеле луй сунт ку греутате ши плине де путере, дар кынд есте де фацэ ел ынсушь, есте моале, ши кувынтул луй н-аре ничо греутате.”
11Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
11Чине жудекэ аша сэ фие ынкрединцат кэ, аша кум сунтем ын ворбэ ын епистолеле ноастре, кынд ну сунтем де фацэ, тот аша вом фи ши ын фаптэ, кынд вом фи де фацэ!
12For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
12Негрешит, н-авем ындрэзняла сэ не пунем алэтурь сау ын рындул унора дин ачея каре се лаудэ сингурь. Дар ей, прин фаптул кэ се мэсоарэ ку ей ыншишь ши се пун алэтурь ей ку ей ыншишь, сунт фэрэ причепере.
13But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
13Ной ынсэ ну не лэудэм динколо де мэсура ноастрэ, чи ын мэсура марӂинилор пе каре ле-а ынсемнат Думнезеу кымпулуй ностру ка сэ ажунӂем пынэ ла вой.
14For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure , as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
14Ну не ынтиндем пря мулт, ка ши кынд н-ам фи ажунс пынэ ла вой, кэч, ын адевэр, пынэ ла вой ам ажунс ын Евангелия луй Христос.
15Not boasting of things without our measure, that is , of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
15Ну не лэудэм песте мэсура ноастрэ, адикэ ну не лэудэм ку остенелиле алтуя, чи авем нэдеждя кэ, дакэ крединца воастрэ креште, ва креште ши кымпул ностру де лукру ынтре вой, неспус де мулт, дупэ мэсура ноастрэ.
16To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand.
16Аша кэ вом путя проповэдуи Евангелия ши ын цинутуриле каре сунт динколо де ал востру, фэрэ сэ интрэм ын кымпул де лукру ал алтуя, ка сэ не лэудэм ку лукрэрь фэкуте де-а гата.
17But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
17Чи „орьчине се лаудэ сэ се лауде ын Домнул”.
18For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
18Пентру кэ ну чине се лаудэ сингур ва фи примит, чи ачела пе каре Домнул ыл лаудэ.
