Hosea 8

1Set the horn to thy mouth. As a vulture he cometh against the house of the LORD; because they have transgressed My covenant, and trespassed against My law.
1Přičině k ústům svým troubu, rci: Aj, letí jako orlice na dům Hospodinův, proto že přestoupili smlouvu mou, a proti zákonu mému převráceně činili.
2Will they cry unto Me: 'My God, we Israel know Thee'?
2Budouť sic volati: Bože můj, znáť tebe Izrael,
3Israel hath cast off that which is good; the enemy shall pursue him.
3Ale opustilť jest Izrael dobré, nepřítel jej stihati bude.
4They have set up kings, but not from Me, they have made princes, and I knew it not; of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
4Oniť ustanovují krále, ale beze mne; knížata vyzdvihují, k nimž já se neznám; z stříbra i z zlata svého činí sobě modly k svému zkažení.
5Thy calf, O Samaria, is cast off; Mine anger is kindled against them; how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
5Opustíť je tele tvé, ó Samaří, když se zažhne prchlivost má na ně. Až dokudž nebudou moci ostříhati nevinnosti?
6For from Israel is even this: the craftsman made it, and it is no God; yea, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in shivers.
6Však i ono jest od Izraele, řemeslník je udělal, a neníť Bohem; nebo drtiny budou z toho telete Samařského.
7For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind; it hath no stalk, the bud that shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.
7Poněvadž větru rozsívají, takéť vichřici žíti budou; ani stébla žádného míti nebudou; úroda nevydá mouky, a by pak i vydala, cizozemci to sehltí.
8Israel is swallowed up; now are they become among the nations as a vessel wherein is no value.
8Sehlcen bude Izrael, tudíž budou mezi pohany jako nádoba, v níž není žádné líbosti.
9For they are gone up to Assyria, like a wild ass alone by himself; Ephraim hath hired lovers.
9Proto že se oni utíkají k Assurovi, oslu divokému, kterýž jest toliko sám svůj, a že Efraim sobě najímá milovníky,
10Yea, though they hire among the nations, now will I gather them up; and they begin to be minished by reason of the burden of king and princes.
10A že posílali dary mezi pohany: protož tudíž je zberu i já, anobrž jižť jsou okusili něčeho pro břímě krále knížat.
11For Ephraim hath multiplied altars to sin, yea, altars have been unto him to sin.
11Nebo vzdělal Efraim mnoho oltářů k hřešení, máť oltáře k hřešení.
12Though I write for him never so many things of My Law, they are accounted as a stranger's.
12Vypsal jsem jemu znamenité věci v zákoně svém, ale neváží sobě rovně jako cizí věci.
13As for the sacrifices that are made by fire unto Me, let them sacrifice flesh and eat it, for the LORD accepteth them not. Now will He remember their iniquity, and punish their sins; they shall return to Egypt.
13Z obětí darů mých obětují maso a jedí, Hospodin neoblibuje jich. Jižť zpomene na nepravost jejich, a vyhledávati bude hříchy jejich, že se oni do Egypta navracují,
14For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and builded palaces, and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the castles thereof.
14A že se zapomenul Izrael na Učinitele svého, a nastavěl chrámů, a Juda vzdělal mnoho měst hrazených. Protož pošli oheň na města jeho, a zžíře paláce jeho.
