1The sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
1ΚΑΙ υἱοὶ Ἰούδα· Φαρές, Ἐσρὼμ καὶ Χαρμὶ καὶ Ὤρ, Σουβὰλ
2And Reaiah the son of Shobal begot Jahath; and Jahath begot Ahumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.
2καὶ Ράδα υἱὸς αὐτοῦ· καὶ Σουβὰλ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰέθ, καὶ Ἰὲθ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἀχιμαΐ, καὶ τὸν Λαάδ· αὗται αἱ γενέσεις τοῦ Σαραθί.
3And these were the sons of the father of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister was Hazlelponi;
3καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Αἰτάμ· Ἰεζραὴλ καὶ Ἰεσμὰν καὶ Ἰεβδάς, καὶ ὄνομα ἀδελφῆς αὐτῶν Ἐσηλεββών.
4and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur the first-born of Ephrath, the father of Beth-lehem.
4καὶ Φανουὴλ πατὴρ Γεδώρ, καὶ Ἀζὴρ πατὴρ Ὠσάν. οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ὢρ τοῦ πρωτοτόκου Ἐφραθὰ πατρὸς Βαθαλαέν.
5And Ashhur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.
5καὶ τῷ Ἀσοὺρ πατρὶ Θεκωὲ ἦσαν δύο γυναῖκες, Ἀωδὰ καὶ Θοαδά.
6And Naarah bore him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Timeni, and Ahashtari. These were the sons of Naarah.
6καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ Ἀωδὰ τὸν Ὠχαία καὶ τὸν Ἠφὰλ καὶ τὸν Θεμὰν καὶ τὸν Ἀασθήρ· πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἀωδᾶς.
7And the sons of Helah were Zereth, and Zohar, and Ethnan.
7καὶ υἱοὶ Θοαδᾶς· Σερὲθ καὶ Σαὰρ καὶ Ἐθνάν.
8And Koz begot Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.
8καὶ Κὼς ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἐνὼβ καὶ τὸν Σαβαθά. καὶ γεννήσεις ἀδελφοῦ Ρηχὰβ υἱοῦ Ἰαρίν.
9And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying: 'Because I bore him with pain.'
9καὶ ἦν Ἰγαβὴς ἔνδοξος ὑπὲρ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἡ μήτηρ ἐκάλεσε τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰγαβὴς λέγουσα· ἔτεκον ὡς γαβής.
10And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying: 'Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that Thy hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest work deliverance from evil, that it may not pain me!' And God granted him that which he requested.
10καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο Ἰγαβὴς τὸν Θεὸν Ἰσραὴλ λέγων· ἐὰν εὐλογῶν εὐλογήσῃς με καὶ πληθύνῃς τὰ ὅριά μου καὶ ᾖ ἡ χείρ σου μετ᾿ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ποιήσεις γνῶσιν τοῦ μὴ ταπεινῶσαί με· καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ὁ Θεὸς πάντα, ὅσα ᾐτήσατο.
11And Chelub the brother of Shuhah begot Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.
11καὶ Χαλὲβ πατὴρ Ἀσχὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Μαχίρ· οὗτος πατὴρ Ἀσσαθών.
12And Eshton begot Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These are the men of Recah.
12καὶ Ἀσσαθὼν ἐγέννησε τὸν Βαθραίαν καὶ τὸν Βεσσηὲ καὶ τὸν Θανὰ πατέρα πόλεως Ναᾶς ἀδελφοῦ Ἐσελὼμ τοῦ Κενεζί· οὗτοι ἄνδρες Ρηφά.
13And the sons of Kenaz: Othniel, and Seraiah; and the sons of Othniel: Hathath.
13καὶ υἱοὶ Κενέζ· Γοθονιὴλ καὶ Σαραΐα. καὶ υἱοὶ Γοθονιήλ, Ἀθάθ.
14And Meonothai begot Ophrah; and Seraiah begot Joab the father of Ge-harashim; for they were craftsmen.
14καὶ Μαναθὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Γοφερά. καὶ Σαραΐα ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰωὰβ πατέρα Ἀγεαδδαΐρ, ὅτι τέκτονες ἦσαν.
15And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and the sons of Elah: Kenaz.
15καὶ υἱοὶ Χαλὲβ υἱοῦ Ἰεφοννή· Ἠρά, Ἀδὰ καὶ Νοόμ. καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀδά, Κενέζ.
16And the sons of Jehallelel: Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
16καὶ υἱοὶ Γεσεήλ· Ζὶφ καὶ Ζεφὰ καὶ Θεφιὰ καὶ Ἐσεραήλ.
17And the sons of Ezrah: Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon. And she bore Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa —
17καὶ υἱοὶ Ἐσρί· Ἰεθέρ, Μωρὰδ καὶ Ἄφερ καὶ Ἰαμών. καὶ ἐγέννησεν Ἰεθὲρ τὸν Μαρὼν καὶ τὸν Σεμαΐ καὶ τὸν Μαρὲθ πατέρα Ἐσθαιμών.
18and his wife Hajehudijah bore Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah — and these are the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh whom Mered took.
18καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ (αὕτη Ἀδία) ἔτεκε τὸν Ἰάρεδ πατέρα Γεδὼρ καὶ τὸν Ἀβὲρ πατέρα Σωχὼν καὶ τὸν Χετιὴλ πατέρα Ζαμών. καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βετθία θυγατρὸς Φαραώ, ἣν ἔλαβε Μωρήδ.
19And the sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.
19καὶ υἱοὶ γυναικὸς τῆς Ἰδουΐας ἀδελφῆς Ναχὲμ πατρὸς Κεϊλά, Γαρμὶ καὶ Ἐσθαιμών, Νωχαθί.
20And the sons of Shimon: Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi: Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.
20καὶ υἱοὶ Σεμιών· Ἀμνὼν καὶ Ἀνὰ υἱὸς Φανὰ καὶ Θιλών. καὶ υἱοὶ Σεΐ· Ζωὰθ καὶ υἱοὶ Ζωάβ,
21The sons of Shelah the son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah, and Ladah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;
21υἱοὶ Σηλὼμ υἱοῦ Ἰούδα· Ἢρ πατὴρ Ληχάβ, καὶ Λααδὰ πατὴρ Μαρισὰ καὶ γενέσεις οἰκείων Ἐφραδαβὰκ τῷ οἴκῳ Ἐσοβὰ
22and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had dominion in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And the records are ancient.
22καὶ Ἰωακὶμ καὶ ἄνδρες Χωζηβὰ καὶ Ἰωὰς καὶ Σαράφ, οἳ κατῴκησαν ἐν Μωάβ· καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν αὐτοὺς ἀβεδηρὶν ἀθουκιΐμ.
23These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plantations and hedges; there they dwelt occupied in the king's work.
23οὗτοι κεραμεῖς οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν Ἀταΐμ καὶ Γαδηρὰ μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως, ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐνίσχυσαν καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐκεῖ.
24The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, and Jamim, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul;
24υἱοὶ Συμεών· Ναμουὴλ καὶ Ἰαμίν, Ἰαρίβ, Ζαρέ, Σαούλ·
25Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
25Σαλὲμ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Μαβασὰμ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Μασμὰ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ,
26And the sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.
26Ἀμουὴλ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Σαβοὺδ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ζακχοὺρ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Σεμεΐ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.
27And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to the children of Judah.
27Καὶ τῷ Σεμεΐ υἱοὶ ἑκκαίδεκα καὶ θυγατέρες τρεῖς· καὶ τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτῶν οὐκ ἦσαν υἱοὶ πολλοί· καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ πατριαὶ αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπλεόνασαν ὡς υἱοὶ Ἰούδα.
28And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual;
28καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐν Βηρσαβεὲ καὶ Σαμὰ καὶ Μωλαδά, καὶ ἐν Ἐσηρσουὰλ
29and at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad;
29καὶ ἐν Βαλαὰ καὶ ἐν Βοασὸμ καὶ ἐν Θουλὰδ
30and at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag;
30καὶ ἐν Βαθουὴλ καὶ ἐν Ἑρμὰ καὶ ἐν Σικελὰγ
31and at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susim, and at Beth-biri, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.
31καὶ ἐν Βαιθμαριμὼθ καὶ Ἡμισουσεωσὶν καὶ οἶκον Βαρουσεωρίμ· αὗται αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν ἕως βασιλέως Δαυίδ.
32And their villages were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities;
32καὶ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν· Αἰτὰν καὶ Ἠνρεμμὼν καὶ Θοκκὰν καὶ Αἰσάν, πόλεις πέντε.
33and all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations, and they have their genealogy.
33καὶ πᾶσαι ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν κύκλῳ τῶν πόλεων τούτων ἕως Βάαλ· αὕτη ἡ κατάσχεσις αὐτῶν καὶ ὁ καταλοχισμὸς αὐτῶν.
34And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amaziah;
34καὶ Μοσωβὰβ καὶ Ἰεμολὸχ καὶ Ἰωσία υἱὸς Ἀμασία
35and Joel, and Jehu the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel;
35καὶ Ἰωὴλ (καὶ οὗτος υἱὸς Ἀσαβία), υἱὸς Σαραία, υἱὸς Ἀσιὴλ
36and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshoaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah;
36καὶ Ἐλιωναΐ καὶ Ἰακαβὰ καὶ Ἰασουΐα καὶ Ἀσαΐα καὶ Ἰεδιὴλ καὶ Ἰσμαὴλ καὶ Βαναίας
37and Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;
37καὶ Ζουζὰ υἱὸς Σαφαΐ υἱοῦ Ἀλὼν υἱοῦ Ἰεδιὰ υἱοῦ Σεμρὶ υἱοῦ Σαμαίου.
38these mentioned by name were princes in their families; and their fathers' houses increased greatly.
38οὗτοι οἱ διελθόντες ἐν ὀνόμασιν ἀρχόντων ἐν ταῖς γενέσεσιν αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐν οἴκοις πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἐπληθύνθησαν εἰς πλῆθος,
39And they went to the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
39καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἕως τοῦ ἐλθεῖν Γέραρα ἕως τῶν ἀνατολῶν τῆς Γαὶ τοῦ ζητῆσαι νομὰς τοῖς κτήνεσιν αὐτῶν·
40And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they that dwelt there aforetime were of Ham.
40καὶ εὗρον νομὰς πλείονας καὶ ἀγαθάς, καὶ ἡ γῆ πλατεῖα ἐναντίον αὐτῶν καὶ εἰρήνη καὶ ἡσυχία, ὅτι ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Χὰμ τῶν κατοικούντων ἐκεῖ ἔμπροσθεν.
41And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the Meunim that were found there, and destroyed them utterly, unto this day, and dwelt in their stead; because there was pasture there for their flocks.
41καὶ ἤλθοσαν οὗτοι οἱ γεγραμμένοι ἐπ᾿ ὀνόματος ἐν ἡμέραις Ἐζεκίου βασιλέως Ἰούδα καὶ ἐπάταξαν τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς Μιναίους, οὓς εὕροσαν ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἀναθεμάτισαν αὐτοὺς ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ ᾤκησαν ἀντ᾿ αὐτῶν, ὅτι νομαὶ τοῖς κτήνεσιν αὐτῶν ἐκεῖ.
42And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
42καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Συμεὼν ἐπορεύθησαν εἰς ὄρος Σηὶρ ἄνδρες πεντακόσιοι, καὶ Φαλαεττία καὶ Νωαδία καὶ Ραφαΐα καὶ Ὀζιὴλ υἱοὶ Ἰεσὶ ἄρχοντες αὐτῶν·
43And they smote the remnant of the Amalekites that escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
43καὶ ἐπάταξαν τοὺς καταλοίπους τοὺς καταλειφθέντας τοῦ Ἀμαλὴκ καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐκεῖ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης.
