2Timothy 1

Baibal Olcim (Matupi Chin)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1Jesuh Khrih ah hingnah olkhueh vanbangla Pathen kah kongaih neh Jesuh Khrih kah caeltueih kai Paul loh ka ca thintlo Timothy taengah kan yaak sak.
1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, according to the promise of life, which is in Christ Jesus.
2A pa Pathen neh mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah lungvatnah, rhennah, ngaimongnah om saeh.
2To Timothy my dearly beloved son, grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord.
3Pathen taengah lungvatnah ka khueh. Amah te manu napa lamloh mingcimnah neh a caih la ka bawk.
3I give thanks to God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a pure conscience, that without ceasing, I have a remembrance of thee in my prayers, night and day.
4Desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy,
5Calling to mind that faith which is in thee unfeigned, which also dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and I am certain that in thee also.
6For which cause I admonish thee, that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee, by the imposition of my hands.
7Pathen loh mamih ham rhalyawpnah mueihla m'pae pawt tih thaomnah, lungnah neh kuemsuemnah ni m'paek.
7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of sobriety.
8Te dongah mamih Boeipa kah laipai ham amah kah thongtla la kai ka om khaw yak boeh. Tedae Pathen kah thaomnah tarhing ah olthangthen te patang puei .
8Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but labour with the gospel, according to the power of God,
9Mamih n'khang tih aka cim khuenah neh n'khue te mamih kah bibi nen pawt tih Pathen amah kah mangtaengnah neh lungvatnah rhangnen ni. Te te khosuen tue hlanah ni Jesuh Khrih ah mamih m'paek coeng.
9Who hath delivered us and called us by his holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the times of the world.
10Tedae mamih khangkung Khrih Jesuh kah a phoenah dongah tah phoe coeng. Dueknah te a hmil ngawn coeng, hingnah neh aka nguel te khaw olthangthen lamloh a yaal coeng.
10But is now made manifest by the illumination of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath destroyed death, and hath brought to light life and incorruption by the gospel:
11Te ham ni olhoe neh caeltueih neh saya la kai m'hmoel.
11Wherein I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and teacher of the Gentiles.
12He paelnaehnah dongah ka patang van coeng he. Tedae ka tangnah te ka ming tih ka yak pawh. Ka hnokhueh he te khohnin due dawndah ham a coengthai la a om te ka ngaitang coeng.
12For which cause I also suffer these things: but I am not ashamed. For I know whom I have believed, and I am certain that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him, against that day.
13Jesuh Khrih ah tangnah, lungnah neh kai lamkah na yaak aka soep olka kah a ninglam te muk lah.
13Hold the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me in faith, and in the love which is in Christ Jesus.
14A then hnokhueh te mamih ah aka hing Mueihla Cim lamloh tuem ne.
14Keep the good thing committed to thy trust by the Holy Ghost, who dwelleth in us.
15Thou knowest this, that all they who are in Asia, are turned away from me: of whom are Phigellus and Hermogenes.
16Onesiphor im ah Boeipa loh rhennah han khueh saeh. Kai he n'caih sak taitu tih kai kah kuelrhui te yah puei pawh.
16The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus: because he hath often refreshed me, and hath not been ashamed of my chain:
17Tedae Rom ah aka om loh kai te ngahngah n'toem tih m'hmuh.
17But when he was come to Rome, he carefully sought me, and found me.
18Tekah khohnin ah Boeipa kah rhennah dang sak ham Boeipa loh anih ham pae saeh. Rhep na ming bangla Ephisa ah khaw bahoeng n'bomcen.
18The Lord grant unto him to find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou very well knowest.
