1ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν λέγων·
1Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
2λάβε τὸ κεφάλαιον τῶν υἱῶν Καὰθ ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν Λευί, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν,
2“Take a census of the Kohathites among the Levites by their clans and families,
3ἀπὸ εἴκοσι καὶ πέντε ἐτῶν καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντήκοντα ἐτῶν, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν ποιῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
3men from thirty to fifty years old—everyone who is qualified to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
4καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ἔργα τῶν υἱῶν Καὰθ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου· ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων.
4This service of the Kohathites at the Tent of Meeting regards the most holy things.
5καὶ εἰσελεύσεται Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ, ὅταν ἐξαίρῃ ἡ παρεμβολή, καὶ καθελοῦσι τὸ καταπέτασμα τὸ συσκιάζον καὶ κατακαλύψουσιν ἐν αὐτῷ τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου,
5Whenever the camp sets out, Aaron and his sons are to go in, take down the veil of the curtain, and cover the ark of the Testimony with it.
6καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ κατακάλυμμα δέρμα ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον ὅλον ὑακίνθινον ἄνωθεν καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς.
6They are to place over this a covering of fine leather, spread a solid blue cloth over it, and insert its poles.
7καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν τράπεζαν τὴν προκειμένην ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον ὁλοπόρφυρον καὶ τὰ τρυβλία καὶ τὰς θυΐσκας καὶ τοὺς κυάθους καὶ τὰ σπονδεῖα, ἐν οἷς σπένδει, καὶ οἱ ἄρτοι οἱ διαπαντὸς ἐπ' αὐτῆς ἔσονται.
7Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the bowls and pitchers for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to remain on it.
8καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον κόκκινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὴν καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι δι' αὐτῆς τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς.
8And they shall spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover them with fine leather, and insert the poles.
9καὶ λήψονται ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσι τὴν λυχνίαν τὴν φωτίζουσαν καὶ τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς λαβίδας αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς ἐπαρυστρίδας αὐτῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ ἀγγεῖα τοῦ ἐλαίου, οἷς λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς,
9They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand used for light, together with its lamps, wick trimmers, and trays, as well as the jars of oil with which to supply it.
10καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν αὐτὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς εἰς κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν αὐτὴν ἐπ' ἀναφορέων.
10Then they shall wrap it and all its utensils inside a covering of fine leather and put it on the carrying frame.
11καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν ἐπικαλύψουσιν ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὸ καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς αὐτοῦ.
11Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth, cover it with fine leather, and insert the poles.
12καὶ λήψονται πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ λειτουργικά, ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν τοῖς ἁγίοις, καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν εἰς ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὰ καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπὶ ἀναφορεῖς.
12They are to take all the utensils for serving in the sanctuary, place them in a blue cloth, cover them with fine leather, and put them on the carrying frame.
13καὶ τὸν καλυπτῆρα ἐπιθήσει ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἐπικαλύψουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ ἱμάτιον ὁλοπόρφυρον.
13Then they shall remove the ashes from the bronze altar, spread a purple cloth over it,
14καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ πάντα τὰ σκεύη, ὅσοις λειτουργοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτῷ ἐν αὐτοῖς, καὶ τὰ πυρεῖα καὶ τὰς κρεάγρας καὶ τὰς φιάλας καὶ τὸν καλυπτῆρα καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου· καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον, καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς αὐτοῦ· καὶ λήψονται ἱμάτιον πορφυροῦν καὶ συγκαλύψουσι τὸν λουτῆρα καὶ τὴν βάσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν αὐτὰ εἰς κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπὶ ἀναφορεῖς.
14and place on it all the vessels used to serve there: the firepans, meat forks, shovels, and sprinkling bowls—all the equipment of the altar. They are to spread over it a covering of fine leather and insert the poles.
15καὶ συντελέσουσιν Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καλύπτοντες τὰ ἅγια καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν παρεμβολήν, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσονται υἱοὶ Καὰθ αἴρειν καὶ οὐχ ἅψονται τῶν ἁγίων, ἵνα μὴ ἀποθάνωσι· ταῦτα ἀροῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Καὰθ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
15When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all their equipment, as soon as the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites shall come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy objects, or they will die. These are the transportation duties of the Kohathites regarding the Tent of Meeting.
16ἐπίσκοπος Ἐλεάζαρ υἱὸς Ἀαρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως· τὸ ἔλαιον τοῦ φωτὸς καὶ τὸ θυμίαμα τῆς συνθέσεως καὶ ἡ θυσία ἡ καθ' ἡμέραν καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον τῆς χρίσεως, ἡ ἐπισκοπὴ ὅλης τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ, ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις.
16Eleazar son of Aaron the priest shall oversee the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil. He has oversight of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including the holy objects and their utensils.”
17καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν λέγων·
17Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
18μὴ ὀλοθρεύσητε τῆς φυλῆς τὸν δῆμον τὸν Καὰθ ἐκ μέσου τῶν Λευιτῶν·
18“Do not allow the Kohathite tribal clans to be cut off from among the Levites.
19τοῦτο ποιήσατε αὐτοῖς καὶ ζήσονται καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνωσι, προσπορευομένων αὐτῶν πρὸς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων· Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ προσπορευέσθωσαν καὶ καταστήσουσιν αὐτοὺς ἕκαστον κατὰ τὴν ἀναφορὰν αὐτοῦ,
19In order that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go in and assign each man his task and what he is to carry.
20καὶ οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθωσιν ἰδεῖν ἐξάπινα τὰ ἅγια καὶ ἀποθανοῦνται.
20But the Kohathites are not to go in and look at the holy objects, even for a moment, or they will die.”
21καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων·
21And the LORD said to Moses,
22λάβε τὴν ἀρχὴν τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσών, καὶ τούτους κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν,
22“Take a census of the Gershonites as well, by their families and clans,
23ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς ἐπίσκεψαι αὐτούς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
23from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
24αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Γεδσών, λειτουργεῖν καὶ αἴρειν·
24This is the service of the Gershonite clans regarding work and transport:
25καὶ ἀρεῖ τὰς δέρρεις τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα τὸ ὑακίνθινον τὸ ὂν ἐπ' αὐτῆς ἄνωθεν καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου
25They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting with the covering of fine leather over it, the curtains for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,
26καὶ τὰ ἱστία τῆς αὐλῆς, ὅσα ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ τὰ περισσὰ καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ λειτουργικά, ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς, ποιήσουσι.
26the curtains of the courtyard, and the curtains for the entrance at the gate of the courtyard that surrounds the tabernacle and altar, along with their ropes and all the equipment for their service. The Gershonites will do all that needs to be done with these items.
27κατὰ στόμα Ἀαρὼν καὶ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ ἔσται ἡ λειτουργία τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσὼν κατὰ πάσας τὰς λειτουργίας αὐτῶν καὶ κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐπισκέψῃ αὐτοὺς ἐξ ὀνόματος πάντα τὰ ἀρτὰ ὑπ' αὐτῶν.
27All the service of the Gershonites—all their transport duties and other work—is to be done at the direction of Aaron and his sons; you are to assign to them all that they are responsible to carry.
28αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσὼν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ ἡ φυλακὴ αὐτῶν ἐν χειρὶ Ἰθάμαρ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ἀαρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως.
28This is the service of the Gershonite clans at the Tent of Meeting, and their duties shall be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.
29οἱ υἱοὶ Μεραρὶ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς,
29As for the sons of Merari, you are to number them by their clans and families,
30ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
30from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work of the Tent of Meeting.
31καὶ ταῦτα τὰ φυλάγματα τῶν αἰρομένων ὑπ' αὐτῶν κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου· τὰς κεφαλίδας τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοὺς μοχλοὺς καὶ τοὺς στύλους αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῆς, καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα καὶ αἱ βάσεις αὐτῶν, καὶ οἱ στύλοι αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς
31This is the duty for all their service at the Tent of Meeting: to carry the frames of the tabernacle with its crossbars, posts, and bases,
32καὶ τοὺς στύλους τῆς αὐλῆς κύκλῳ, καὶ αἱ βάσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς στύλους τοῦ καταπετάσματος τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς, καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῶν, καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς κάλους αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ λειτουργήματα αὐτῶν, ἐξ ὀνομάτων ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτοὺς καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τῆς φυλακῆς τῶν αἰρομένων ὑπ' αὐτῶν.
32and the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes, including all their equipment and everything related to their use. You shall assign by name the items that they are responsible to carry.
33αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία δήμου υἱῶν Μεραρὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Ἰθάμαρ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ἀαρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως.
33This is the service of the Merarite clans according to all their work at the Tent of Meeting, under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.”
34καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες Ἰσραὴλ τοὺς υἱοὺς Καὰθ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν,
34So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of the congregation numbered the Kohathites by their clans and families,
35ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
35everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
36καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν δισχίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι πεντήκοντα.
36And those numbered by their clans totaled 2,750.
37αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου Καάθ, πᾶς ὁ λειτουργῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καθὰ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ἀαρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῇ.
37These were counted from the Kohathite clans, everyone who could serve at the Tent of Meeting. Moses and Aaron numbered them according to the command of the LORD through Moses.
38καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν υἱοὶ Γεδσὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν,
38Then the Gershonites were numbered by their clans and families,
39ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν τὰ ἔργα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
39everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
40καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, δισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι τριάκοντα.
40And those numbered by their clans and families totaled 2,630.
41αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου υἱῶν Γεδσών, πᾶς ὁ λειτουργῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ἀαρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ.
41These were counted from the Gershonite clans who served at the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted at the LORD’s command.
42ἐπεσκέπησαν δὲ καὶ δῆμος υἱῶν Μεραρὶ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν,
42And the Merarites were numbered by their clans and families,
43ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν πρὸς τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
43everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
44καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, τρισχίλιοι καὶ διακόσιοι·
44The men registered by their clans numbered 3,200.
45αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου υἱῶν Μεραρί, οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ἀαρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ.
45These were counted from the Merarite clans, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the LORD’s command through Moses.
46πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες Ἰσραὴλ τοὺς Λευίτας, κατὰ δήμους καὶ κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν,
46So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of Israel numbered by their clans and families all the Levites
47ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος πρὸς τὸ ἔργον τῶν ἔργων καὶ τὰ ἔργα τὰ αἰρόμενα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου,
47from thirty to fifty years old who came to do the work of serving and carrying the Tent of Meeting.
48καὶ ἐγενήθησαν οἱ ἐπισκεπέντες ὀκτακισχίλιοι πεντακόσιοι ὀγδοήκοντα.
48And the number of men was 8,580.
49διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου ἐπεσκέψατο αὐτοὺς ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ, ἄνδρα κατὰ ἄνδρα ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ ὧν αἴρουσιν αὐτοί· καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
49At the LORD’s command they were numbered through Moses and each one was assigned his work and burden, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
