1And there came to him the Pharisees and Sadduccees tempting: and they asked him to shew them a sign from heaven.
1法利赛人和撒都该人来试探耶稣，请他从天上显个神迹给他们看。
2But he answered and said to them: When it is evening, you say, It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.
2耶稣回答说：「晚上天发红，你们就说：『天必要晴。』
3And in the morning: Today there will be a storm, for the sky is red and lowering. You know then how to discern the face of the sky: and can you not know the signs of the times?
3早晨天发红，又发黑，你们就说：『今日必有风雨。』你们知道分辨天上的气色，倒不能分辨这时候的神迹。
4A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign: and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. And he left them, and went away.
4一个邪恶淫乱的世代求神迹，除了 约拿 的神迹以外，再没有神迹给他看。」耶稣就离开他们去了。
5And when his disciples were come over the water, they had forgotten to take bread.
5门徒渡到那边去，忘了带饼。
6Who said to them: Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
6耶稣对他们说：「你们要谨慎，防备法利赛人和撒都该人的酵。」
7But they thought within themselves, saying: Because we have taken no bread.
7门徒彼此议论说：「这是因为我们没有带饼吧。」
8And Jesus knowing it, said: Why do you think within yourselves, O ye of little faith, for that you have no bread?
8耶稣看出来，就说：「你们这小信的人，为什么因为没有饼彼此议论呢？
9Do you not yet understand, neither do you remember the five loaves among five thousand men, and how many baskets you took up?
9你们还不明白吗？不记得那五个饼分给五千人、又收拾了多少篮子 的零碎 吗？
10Nor the seven loaves among four thousand men, and how many baskets you took up?
10也不记得那七个饼分给四千人、又收拾了多少筐子 的零碎 吗？
11Why do you not understand that it was not concerning the bread I said to you: Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?
11我对你们说：『要防备法利赛人和撒都该人的酵』，这话不是指着饼说的，你们怎么不明白呢？」
12Then they understood that he said not that they should beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
12门徒这才晓得他说的不是叫他们防备饼的酵，乃是防备法利赛人和撒都该人的教训。
13And Jesus came into the quarters of Cesarea Philippi: and he asked his disciples, saying: Whom do men say that the Son of man is?
13耶稣到了 凯撒利亚·腓立比 的境内，就问门徒说：「人说我—人子是谁？」
14But they said: Some John the Baptist, and other some Elias, and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
14他们说：「有人说是施洗的 约翰 ；有人说是 以利亚 ；又有人说是 耶利米 或是先知里的一位。」
15Jesus saith to them: But whom do you say that I am?
15耶稣说：「你们说我是谁？」
16Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.
16西门·彼得 回答说：「你是基督，是永生 神的儿子。」
17And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.
17耶稣对他说：「 西门·巴·约拿 ，你是有福的！因为这不是属血肉 的 指示你的，乃是我在天上的父指示的。
18And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
18我还告诉你，你是 彼得 ，我要把我的教会建造在这磐石上；阴间的权柄不能胜过他。
19And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.
19我要把天国的钥匙给你，凡你在地上所捆绑的，在天上也要捆绑；凡你在地上所释放的，在天上也要释放。」
20Then he commanded his disciples, that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ.
20当下，耶稣嘱咐门徒，不可对人说他是基督。
21From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples, that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the ancients and scribes and chief priests, and be put to death, and the third day rise again.
21从此，耶稣才指示门徒，他必须上 耶路撒冷 去，受长老、祭司长、文士许多的苦，并且被杀，第三日复活。
22And Peter taking him, began to rebuke him, saying: Lord, be it far from thee, this shall not be unto thee.
22彼得 就拉着他，劝他说：「主啊，万不可如此！这事必不临到你身上。」
23Who turning, said to Peter: Go behind me, Satan, thou art a scandal unto me: because thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.
23耶稣转过来，对 彼得 说：「撒但，退我后边去吧！你是绊我脚的；因为你不体贴 神的意思，只体贴人的意思。」
24Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
24于是耶稣对门徒说：「若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，背起他的十字架来跟从我。
25For he that will save his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall find it.
25因为，凡要救自己生命的，必丧掉生命；凡为我丧掉生命的，必得着生命。
26For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?
26人若赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？人还能拿什么换生命呢？
27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels: and then will he render to every man according to his works.
27人子要在他父的荣耀里，同着众使者降临；那时候，他要照各人的行为报应各人。
28Amen I say to you, there are some of them that stand here, that shall not taste death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
28我实在告诉你们，站在这里的，有人在没尝死味以前必看见人子降临在他的国里。」
