Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)
1And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he passed from thence, to teach and preach in their cities.
1Ja Jesujeli jendranguta matja mudana, milini nunkanani ngujangujara jinkila, Nau nakandru puntina wonti, ngujangujara jinkila ja jaura kaukaubala ngurani tananani. (Ngantjani‐jaura G. D. III. Advent.)
2Now when John had heard in prison the works of Christ: sending two of his disciples he said to him:
2Johannili kanjangari pungani Christuni ngankana matja ngarana, nulu mili mandru nunkani jinpana wonti,
3Art thou he that art to come, or look we for another?
3Ja nunkangu jatana wonti: „Naumata jidni, Nau wokarananto kara, kulnuni ngaiani kalkananto kara?“
4And Jesus making answer said to them: Go and relate to John what you have heard and seen.
4Jesujeli kalabana wonti ja jatana wonti pudlangu: „Tikalumai, ja Johanningu kaukaubalumai, mina judla najila wapaia ja ngarala wapaia:
5The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.
5Butjulali najiai, ja tjundurula wapai; gambala kulikiri pantjiai, ja talpakurulali ngarai; narila tepi terkakai, ja wangiwangieli ngantjani jaura ngarai;
6And blessed is he that shall not be scandalized in me.
6Ja murlali pirna naupini nganai, nau ngakangu wata buljubuljuriai.“
7And when they went their way, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: What went you out into the desert to see? a reed shaken with the wind?
7Pudla tikanani, Jesujeli wonina wonti kana wolarani jatala Johanningundru: „Mina najila jura pitaraia palkana paraia? Kalanka kulno, watarali wijawijabanani?
8But what went you out to see? a man clothed in soft garments? Behold they that are clothed in soft garments, are in the houses of kings.
8Mina najila jura palkana paraia? Kana kulno kati tjankanto? Mai, mitaia kaparaia pungani tanali ngamalkai kati tjanka.
9But what went you out to see? a prophet? yea I tell you, and more than a prophet.
9Mina najila jura palkana paraia? Propheta kulno? Morlalu ngani jurangu jatai: Nau morla pirna nganai Prophetani.
10For this is he of whom it is written: Behold I send my angel before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
10Ngangau naupini nau nganai, nunkangundru dakanala parai: «Mai, ngato angela ngakani jinkangu mudlani ngopera jinpai, nulu palto jinkani jinkangu ngopera ngankingala nganai.»
11Amen I say to you, there hath not risen among them that are born of women a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is the lesser in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
11Morlalu ngani jurangu jatai: «Wata kulno tanangundru, widlandru dankanala, terkakana wonti morla pirna Johanningu multibanietjani. Worananau morla waka nganai pariwilpaia mililani, nau morla pirna nganai nunkangu.»
12And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent bear it away.
12Johannes multibanietjaia ditjindru kararielu pariwilpaia milila ngurulali wokarai, ja kana ngurungurujeli ninaia parumai.
13For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John:
13Ngangau Propheta worali ja jirijiribani jaurali Johanningulu talpadakana wonti;
14And if you will receive it, he is Elias that is to come.
14Ja jura ngantjanani jenia patala, naupini Elias nganai, nau wokarananto.
15He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
15Warle talpa ngamalkai ngarala, nulu ngaraiatimai!
16But whereunto shall I esteem this generation to be like? It is like to children sitting in the market place.
16Worangu ngato ninapini nguja jeribaka kurananto? Tanaia kupa wakani jeribaka nganai, tana jinkimalini pirini ngamai ja kamaneli tanani karkai
17Who crying to their companions say: We have piped to you, and you have not danced: we have lamented, and you have not mourned.
17Ja jatai: «Ngaiani jurangu wilpina warai, ja jura wata kilina warai; ngaiani jindrana warai, ja jura wata ngaurongaurojeli nandraterina warai.»
18For John came neither eating nor drinking; and they say: He hath a devil.
18Ngangau Johannes wokarana warai wata tajina ja wata tapana, ja tanaia jatai: «Nulu kutji ngamalkai;»
19The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say: Behold a man that is a glutton and a wine drinker, a friend of publicans and sinners. And wisdom is justified by her children.
19Ja Kanaia Ngatamura wokarana warai, Nulia tajiai ja tapai, ja tanaia jatai: «Najianau, Nauja kana mirantjatieli tajinietja ja tapanietja, mardatandrakampanietjaia ja madlentji ngankanietjaia kamaneli!» Ja Kirila kalala maniai nunkani kupandru.“
20Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein were done the most of his miracles, for that they had not done penance.
20Jendranguta Nulu wonina wonti, jaura kalkri jatala tanangupini ngurani, tanangu pirnala nunkani marapu pantjina wonti, ngangau tana wata madlentjandru karitjina wonti:
21Woe to thee, Corozain, woe to thee, Bethsaida: for if in Tyre and Sidon had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in you, they had long ago done penance in sackcloth and ashes.
21„Jakajai jinkangu Choraziniai! jakajai jinkangu Bethsaidajai! ngangau Tyrus ja Sidon ngurani jenia pirnala pantjinani, judlangu pantjinala, pudla nurujeli kati murumurunto ja turuputani madlentjandru karitjinanto.
22But I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, than for you.
22Ja ngani judlangu jatai: «Tyrus ja Sidon ngurali kalala ditjini kalala morla waka manila nganai judlangu.»
23And thou Capharnaum, shalt thou be exalted up to heaven? thou shalt go down even unto hell. For if in Sodom had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in thee, perhaps it had remained unto this day.
23Ja jidni Kapernaum, jidni miririna pariwilpaia, turujelu jidni ngarila nganai; ngangau Sodom ngurani jenia pirnala pantjinani, jinkangu pantjinala, naupini nunkangupini ditjini kararielu terkananto.
24But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
24Ja ngani jurangu jatai: «Sodom mitalali kalala ditjini kalala morla waka manila nganai jinkangu.»“ (Ngantjani‐jaura Matthias ditjini.)
25At that time Jesus answered and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to the little ones.
25Jendranguta Jesujeli kalabana wonti ja jatana wonti: „Ngato jidnana Ngaperiai, Kapara pariwilpaia ja mitaia, jurakokala wapaia; ngangau jundru jenia kana kirini ja ngujamanietjani kutibana warai ja kupani tinkari ngankana warai;
26Yea, Father; for so hath it seemed good in thy sight.
26Kau, Ngaperiai! jeruja jinkangu manju nganana wonti.
27All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knoweth the Son, but the Father: neither doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him.
27Ngaperali ngakanali ngakangu warupoto jinkina wonti; ja wata kulnujeli Ngatamura ngujamai, windri Ngapili; ja bakana wata kulnujeli Ngapina ngujamai, windri Ngatamurajeli ja nulu, nunkangu Ngatamurajeli ngantjai jenia tinkari ngankala.
28Come to me, all you that labour, and are burdened, and I will refresh you.
28Ngakangu kaparanau pratjana, jura wariwariai ja pariai, ngato jurana ngara waribala nganai.
29Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: and you shall find rest to your souls.
29Pita wokara ngakani manianimai, ja ngakangundru kiririanau, ngangau ngani malti ja ngarali waka ngundrateriai, ja jura mankamankala nganai mungara ngara ngamala.
30For my yoke is sweet and my burden light.
30Ngangau pita wokara ngakani manju, ja juditji ngakani ngaua nganai.“
