I. Timotheungu 5

Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1Pinarani wata jaura kaldri jinkiau, a‐ai, nina ngaperi jeribaka kurukurubamai; materi ngatata jeribaka.
1An ancient man rebuke not, but entreat him as a father: young men, as brethren:
2Widlapirna ngandri jeribaka, widla, kaku jeribaka ninta pirna pirnani.
2Old women, as mothers: young women, as sisters, in all chastity.
3Mangawaru pirna ngundramai, tana kantji mangawaru ngananani.
3Honour widows, that are widows indeed.
4Mangawaru kulnujeli kupa kara kadnini kara ngamalkanani, jeruja tana ngopera kiririnanto, tanani pungalani tanani mangini ngumu ngankala ja ngaperani ja ngandrini kalala jinkila, ngangau jenia ngumu, ja Godali jenia ngantjai.
4But if any widow have children, or grandchildren, let her learn first to govern her own house, and to make a return of duty to her parents: for this is acceptable before God.
5Mangawaru kantji ja dupuru talku kalkani nankani Godani kurai, ja milingeru ngatjiai ja karkai ditjini ja tinkani.
5But she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, let her trust in God, and continue in supplications and prayers night and day.
6Nanipini, nani murumuru nganai, tepini nari nganai.
6For she that liveth in pleasures, is dead while she is living.
7Ja jenia jirijiribamai, tana madlentji pani ngamananto.
7And this give in charge, that they may be blameless.
8Warle wata manujeli ngundrai nunkani nguralani, ja morla pirna nunkani pungalani, nulu morlalu ngundrani jedibana warai, ja morla madlentji nganai kana koni.
8But if any man have not care of his own, and especially of those of his house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9Mangawaruni windri patau, nani kilpawoldra marapratjana poto mara wora ja kulno matja nganana, ja materi kulnuja noa nganana,
9Let a widow be chosen of no less than threescore years of age, who hath been the wife of one husband.
10Nandru ngankana ngumu matja wondrana, nandru kupa matja pirna ngankana, nandru tula pungani matja manjujeli patana, nandru kana kulikiria tidna matja kulirkana, nandru kana ketjaketjanani matja marangokana, nandru ngankana ngumuni pratjanani matja karipaterina.
10Having testimony for her good works, if she have brought up children, if she have received to harbour, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have ministered to them that suffer tribulation, if she have diligently followed every good work.
11Mangawaru kaluka woramai; ngangau tana milkirinani Christungu, tanali ngantjai noa patala,
11But the younger widows avoid. For when they have grown wanton in Christ, they will marry:
12Tanali kalala tanani ngamalkai, ngangau tanali morlalu ngundrani ngopera wokaribana warai.
12Having damnation, because they have made void their first faith.
13Tana nguja nganai, ja kiririai punga kulno punga kulno wirarila, ja wata windri nguja, a‐ai, tanali bakana jatajatai ja jekijekibai, ja jatai, mina wata ngumu nganai.
13And withal being idle they learn to go about from house to house: and are not only idle, but tattlers also, and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14Jeruja ngato ngantjai, mangawaru kalukali noa patananto, kupa kantji patananto, punga najinajibananto, ja ngirkibanietjani wata jinkinanto ngirkibanani.
14I will therefore that the younger should marry, bear children, be mistresses of families, give no occasion to the adversary to speak evil.
15Karari matja palpa puntina warai Satanangu ngadaia.
15For some are already turned aside after Satan.
16Mili materali kara, mili widlali kara, mangawaru ngamalkanani, tanali tanangundru manujeli ngundrananto, ja tanali mili wolara wata jupananto, ngangau tanali mangawaru kantjini manujeli ngundrananto.
16If any of the faithful have widows, let him minister to them, and let not the church be charged: that there may be sufficient for them that are widows indeed.
17Kaparani, tanali ngumu ngamalkijiribai, tanali pirnala pudlamandru pirna ngundrananto, morla pirna tanangu, tana jiglerali ngankai jaurani ja ngujangujarani.
17Let the priests that rule well, be esteemed worthy of double honour: especially they who labour in the word and doctrine:
18Ngangau jaura jatai: „Ngantini, nulu tandra nankai, jundru mana wata ngandrawalkananto;“ ja: „Ngankanietjani talku nganai nunkani kalala.“
18For the scripture saith: Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn: and, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
19Kaparani wata ngulku patau, windrila morlalu kuranietja mandru kara, parkulu kara ngamanani.
19Against a priest receive not an accusation, but under two or three witnesses.
20Tanana, tanali madlentji ngankai, kurukurubamai pratjanani mudlani, ngangau bakana tana pratjana japali pantjinanto.
20Them that sin reprove before all: that the rest also may have fear.
21Ngato jinkangu morlalu kurai Godani ja Kapara Jesungu Christungu ja kalkalkani angelani, jundru jenia ngamalkamai wata ngundrana pilkini, ja panila ngankamai kana ngundranali!
21I charge thee before God, and Christ Jesus, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by declining to either side.
22Mara wata kulnuni nurujeli kurateriamai, ja wata nguruja madlentjani ngokateriamai. Munta kulikiri ngamalkateriamai.
22Impose not hands lightly upon any man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins. Keep thyself chaste.
23Wata morla windri ngapa tapamai, a‐ai, bakana waina ngalje maniamai jinkani mandrandru, ja ngangau jidni poto marapu waltowalto nganai.
23Do not still drink water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake, and thy frequent infirmities.
24Kana palpaia madlentji tinkari nganai, ja tana ngopera wiringai kalalaia, ja palpani ngadani wapantiai.
24Some men’s sins are manifest, going before to judgment: and some men they follow after.
25Jeruja bakana ngankana ngumu ngopera tinkari pantjiai, ja tanali, tanangu pilki parai, ngandandariai kurukuru parana.
25In like manner also good deeds are manifest: and they that are otherwise, cannot be hid.
