1“Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever does not enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.
2ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲣⲟ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ.
2But the one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
3ⲫⲁⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲙⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲛⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥ⳿ⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
3The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen for his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲁϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ.
4When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
5ⲡⲓϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲫⲱⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲧ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ.
5But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will flee from him because they do not recognize his voice.”
6ⲧⲁⲓⲡⲁⲣⲟⲓⲙⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ.
6Jesus spoke to them using this illustration, but they did not understand what He was telling them.
7ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲥⲃⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ.
7So He said to them again, “Truly, truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.
8ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ϧⲁϫⲱⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲟⲛⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛⲣⲉϥϭⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ.
8All who came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
9⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲥⲃⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉϫⲓⲙⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛⲓ.
9I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture.
10ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥϭⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⲁⲣⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϣⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ.
10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.
11⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ϣⲁϥϯ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ.
11I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
12ⲡⲓⲣⲉⲙⲃⲉⲭⲉ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϣ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁϥⲫⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲭⲁ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϣ ϩⲟⲗⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥϫⲟⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
12The hired hand is not the shepherd, and the sheep are not his own. When he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf pounces on them and scatters the flock.
13ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲉⲙⲃⲉⲭⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲥⲉⲣⲙⲉⲗⲓⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ϧⲁ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ.
13The man runs away because he is a hired servant and is unconcerned for the sheep.
14⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ⳿Ⲓ ⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ.
14I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me,
15ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ.
15just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.
16ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲕⲉ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲓⲁⲩⲗⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ϩⲱϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ.
16I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd.
17ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ϥⲙⲉⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲭⲱ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁϭⲓⲧⲥ.
17The reason the Father loves Me is that I lay down My life in order to take it up again.
18⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲱⲗⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲭⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϯ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉ ⲭⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲟⲛϯ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉϭⲓⲧⲥ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ϯ⳿ⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϭⲓⲧⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ.
18No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father.”
19ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲭⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ.
19Again there was division among the Jews because of Jesus’ message.
20ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥⲗⲟⲃⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
20Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and insane. Why would you listen to Him?”
21ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲁ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⳿ⲉⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉⲩ.
21But others replied, “These are not the words of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
22ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲧ⳿ⲫⲣⲱ ⲧⲉ.
22At that time the Feast of Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter,
23ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ϧⲁ ϯ⳿ⲥⲧⲟⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲥⲟⲗⲟⲙⲱⲛ.
23and Jesus was walking in the temple courts in Solomon’s Colonnade.
24ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲕⲧⲟ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲑⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲕⲱⲗⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲁϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ.
24So the Jews gathered around Him and demanded, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩϯ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⳿ⲉϯⲣⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ϧⲁⲣⲟⲓ.
25“I already told you,” Jesus replied, “but you did not believe. The works I do in My Father’s name testify on My behalf.
26ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ.
26But because you are not My sheep, you refuse to believe.
27ⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϣⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲓ.
27My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.
28ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉ⳿ϣ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ϩⲟⲗⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁϫⲓϫ.
28I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.
29ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲁ⳿ϣϩⲟⲗⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ.
29My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
30⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ.
30I and the Father are one.”
31ⲁⲩⲉⲗ ⲱⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉϩⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ.
31At this, the Jews again picked up stones to stone Him.
32ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ⲁⲓⲧⲁⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲁϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩⲓⲱⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲓ.
32But Jesus responded, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone Me?”
33ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϩⲓⲱⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ϫⲉⲟⲩ⳿ⲁ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϩⲱⲕ ⳿ⲕ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ.
33“We are not stoning You for any good work,” said the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because You, who are a man, declare Yourself to be God.”
34ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⳿ⲥ⳿ⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ.
34Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’?
35ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲛⲏ ϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯ⳿ⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲃⲱⲗ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
35If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken—
36ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕϫⲉⲟⲩ⳿ⲁ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ.
36then what about the One whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world? How then can you accuse Me of blasphemy for stating that I am the Son of God?
37ⲓⲥϫⲉ ϯ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲓ.
37If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me.
38ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ϯ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲛ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧ.
38But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works themselves, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father.”
39ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲩⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϩⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲫⲱⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲓϫ.
39At this, they tried again to seize Him, but He escaped their grasp.
40ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉⲙⲏⲣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲓⲟⲣⲇⲁⲛⲏ ⲥ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ϯⲱⲙⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
40Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had first been baptizing, and He stayed there.
41ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲉⲣ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛⲉ.
41Many came to Him and said, “Although John never performed a sign, everything he said about this man was true.”
42ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲁⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ
42And many in that place believed in Jesus.
