1耶路撒冷 王 亚多尼·洗德 听见 约书亚 夺了 艾 城，尽行毁灭，怎样待 耶利哥 和 耶利哥 的王，也照样待 艾 城和 艾 城的王，又听见 基遍 的居民与 以色列 人立了和约，住在他们中间，
1When Adonisedec king of Jerusalem had heard these things, to wit, that Josue had taken Hai, and had destroyed it, (for as he had done to Jericho and the king thereof, so did he to Hai, and its king,) and that the Gabaonites were gone over to Israel, and were their confederates,
2就甚惧怕；因为 基遍 是一座大城，如都城一般，比 艾 城更大，并且城内的人都是勇士。
2He was exceedingly afraid. For Gabaon was a great city, and one of the royal cities, and greater than the town of Hai, and all its fighting men were most valiant.
3所以 耶路撒冷 王 亚多尼·洗德 打发人去见 希伯 王 何咸 、 耶末 王 毗兰 、 拉吉 王 雅非亚 ，和 伊矶伦 王 底璧 ，说：
3Therefore Adonisedec king of Jerusalem sent to Oham king of Hebron, and to Pharam king of Jerimoth, and to Japhia king of Lachis, and to Dabir king of Eglon, saying:
4「求你们上来帮助我，我们好攻打 基遍 ，因为他们与 约书亚 和 以色列 人立了和约。」
4Come up to me, and bring help, that we may take Gabaon, because it hath gone over to Josue, and to the children of Israel.
5于是五个 亚摩利 王，就是 耶路撒冷 王、 希伯 王、 耶末 王、 拉吉 王、 伊矶伦 王，大家聚集，率领他们的众军上去，对着 基遍 安营，攻打 基遍 。
5So the five kings of the Amorrhites being assembled together went up: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jerimoth, the king of Lachis, the king of Eglon, they and their armies, and camped about Gabaon, laying siege to it.
6基遍 人就打发人往 吉甲 的营中去见 约书亚 ，说：「你不要袖手不顾你的仆人，求你速速上来拯救我们，帮助我们，因为住山地 亚摩利 人的诸王都聚集攻击我们。」
6But the inhabitants of the city of Gabaon which was besieged, sent to Josue, who then abode in the camp at Galgal, and said to him: Withdraw not thy hands from helping thy servants: come up quickly and save us, and bring us succour: for all the kings of the Amorrhites, who dwell in the mountains, are gathered together against us.
7于是 约书亚 和他一切兵丁，并大能的勇士，都从 吉甲 上去。
7And Josue went up from Galgal, and all the army of the warriors with him, most valiant men.
8耶和华对 约书亚 说：「不要怕他们；因为我已将他们交在你手里，他们无一人能在你面前站立得住。」
8And the Lord said to Josue: Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thy hands: none of them shall be able to stand against thee.
9约书亚 就终夜从 吉甲 上去，猛然临到他们那里。
9So Josue going up from Galgal all the night, came upon them suddenly.
10耶和华使他们在 以色列 人面前溃乱。 约书亚 在 基遍 大大地杀败他们，追赶他们，在 伯·和 的上坡路击杀他们，直到 亚西加 和 玛基大 。
10And the Lord troubled them at the sight of Israel: and he slew them with a great slaughter in Gabaon, and pursued them by the way of the ascent to Beth-horon, and cut them off all the way to Azeca and Maceda.
11他们在 以色列 人面前逃跑，正在 伯·和 下坡的时候，耶和华从天上降大冰雹在他们身上，直降到 亚西加 ，打死他们。被冰雹打死的，比 以色列 人用刀杀死的还多。
11And when they were fleeing from the children of Israel, and were in the descent of Beth-horon, the Lord cast down upon them great stones from heaven as far as Azeca: and many more were killed with the hailstones than were slain by the swords of the children of Israel.
12当耶和华将 亚摩利 人交付 以色列 人的日子， 约书亚 就祷告耶和华，在 以色列 人眼前说： 日头啊，你要停在 基遍 ； 月亮啊，你要止在 亚雅 谷 。
12Then Josue spoke to the Lord, in the day that he delivered the Amorrhite in the sight of the children of Israel, and he said before them: Move not, O sun, toward Gabaon, nor thou, O moon, toward the valley of Ajalon.
13于是日头停留，月亮止住， 直等国民向敌人报仇。 这事岂不是写在 雅煞珥 书上吗？日头在天当中停住，不急速下落，约有一日之久。
13And the sun and the moon stood still, till the people revenged themselves of their enemies. Is not this written in the book of the just? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down the space of one day.
14在这日以前，这日以后，耶和华听人的祷告，没有像这日的，是因耶和华为 以色列 争战。
14There was not before nor after so long a day, the Lord obeying the voice of a man, and fighting for Israel.
15约书亚 和 以色列 众人回到 吉甲 的营中。
15And Josue returned with all Israel into the camp of Galgal.
16那五王逃跑，藏在 玛基大 洞里。
16For the five kings were fled, and had hidden themselves in a cave of the city of Maceda.
17有人告诉 约书亚 说：「那五王已经找到了，都藏在 玛基大 洞里。」
17And it was told Josue that the five kings were found hidden in a cave of the city of Maceda.
18约书亚 说：「你们把几块大石头滚到洞口，派人看守，
18And he commanded them that were with him, saying: Roll great stones to the mouth of the cave, and set careful men, to keep them shut up:
19你们却不可耽延，要追赶你们的仇敌，击杀他们尽后边的人，不容他们进自己的城邑，因为耶和华—你们的 神已经把他们交在你们手里。」
19And stay you not, but pursue after the enemies, and kill all the hindermost of them as they flee, and do not suffer them whom the Lord God hath delivered into your hands to shelter themselves in their cities.
20约书亚 和 以色列 人大大杀败他们，直到将他们灭尽；其中剩下的人都进了坚固的城。
20So the enemies being slain with a great slaughter, and almost utterly consumed, they that were able to escape from Israel, entered into fenced cities.
21众百姓就安然回 玛基大 营中，到 约书亚 那里。没有一人敢向 以色列 人饶舌。
21And all the army returned to Josue in Maceda, where the camp then was, in good health and without the loss of any one: and no man durst move his tongue against the children of Israel.
22约书亚 说：「打开洞口，将那五王从洞里带出来，领到我面前。」
22And Josue gave orders, saying: Open the mouth of the cave, and bring forth to me the five kings that lie hid therein.
23众人就这样行，将那五王，就是 耶路撒冷 王、 希伯 王、 耶末 王、 拉吉 王、 伊矶伦 王，从洞里带出来，领到 约书亚 面前。
23And the ministers did as they were commanded: and they brought out to him the five kings out of the cave: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jerimoth, the king of Lachis, the king of Eglon.
24带出那五王到 约书亚 面前的时候， 约书亚 就召了 以色列 众人来，对那些和他同去的军长说：「你们近前来，把脚踏在这些王的颈项上。」他们就近前来，把脚踏在这些王的颈项上。
24And when they were Drought out to him, he called all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the army that were with him: Go, and set your feet on the necks of these kings. And when they had gone, and put their feet upon the necks of them lying under them,
25约书亚 对他们说：「你们不要惧怕，也不要惊惶。应当刚强壮胆，因为耶和华必这样待你们所要攻打的一切仇敌。」
25He said again to them: Fear not, neither be ye dismayed, take courage and be strong: for so will the Lord do to all your enemies, against whom you fight.
26随后 约书亚 将这五王杀死，挂在五棵树上。他们就在树上直挂到晚上。
26And Josue struck, and slew them, and hanged them upon five gibbets, and they hung until the evening.
27日头要落的时候， 约书亚 一吩咐，人就把尸首从树上取下来，丢在他们藏过的洞里，把几块大石头放在洞口，直存到今日。
27And when the sun was down, he commanded the soldiers to take them down from the gibbets. And after they were taken down, they cast them into the cave where they had lain hid, and put great stones at the mouth thereof, which remain until this day.
28当日， 约书亚 夺了 玛基大 ，用刀击杀城中的人和王；将其中一切人口尽行杀灭，没有留下一个。他待 玛基大 王，像从前待 耶利哥 王一样。
28The same day Josue took Maceda and destroyed it, with the edge of the sword, and killed the king and all the inhabitants thereof: he left not in it the least remains. And he did to the king of Maceda, as he had done to the king of Jericho.
29约书亚 和 以色列 众人从 玛基大 往 立拿 去，攻打 立拿 。
29And he passed from Maceda with all Israel to Lebna, and fought against it:
30耶和华将 立拿 和 立拿 的王也交在 以色列 人手里。 约书亚 攻打这城，用刀击杀了城中的一切人口，没有留下一个。他待 立拿 王，像从前待 耶利哥 王一样。
30And the Lord delivered it with the king thereof into the hands of Israel: and they destroyed the city with the edge of the sword, and all the inhabitants thereof. They left not in it any remains. And they did to the king of Lebna, as they had done to the king of Jericho.
31约书亚 和 以色列 众人从 立拿 往 拉吉 去，对着 拉吉 安营，攻打这城。
31From Lebna he passed unto Lachis, with all Israel: and investing it with his army, besieged it.
32耶和华将 拉吉 交在 以色列 人的手里。第二天 约书亚 就夺了 拉吉 ，用刀击杀了城中的一切人口，是照他向 立拿 一切所行的。
32And the Lord delivered Lachis into the hands of Israel, and he took it the following day, and put it to the sword, and every soul that was in it, as he had done to Lebna.
33那时 基色 王 荷兰 上来帮助 拉吉 ， 约书亚 就把他和他的民都击杀了，没有留下一个。
33At that time Horam king of Gazer, came up to succour Lachis: and Josue slew him with all his people, so as to leave none alive.
34约书亚 和 以色列 众人从 拉吉 往 伊矶伦 去，对着 伊矶伦 安营，攻打这城。
34And he passed from Lachis to Eglon, and surrounded it,
35当日就夺了城，用刀击杀了城中的人。那日， 约书亚 将城中的一切人口尽行杀灭，是照他向 拉吉 一切所行的。
35And took it the same day: and put to the sword all the souls that were in it, according to all that he had done to Lachis.
36约书亚 和 以色列 众人从 伊矶伦 上 希伯 去，攻打这城，
36He went up also with all Israel from Eglon to Hebron, and fought against it:
37就夺了 希伯 和属 希伯 的诸城邑，用刀将城中的人与王，并那些城邑中的人口，都击杀了，没有留下一个，是照他向 伊矶伦 所行的，把城中的一切人口尽行杀灭。
37Took it, and destroyed it with the edge of the sword: the king also thereof, and all the towns of that country, and all the souls that dwelt in it: he left not therein any remains: as he had done to Eglon, so did he also to Hebron, putting to the sword all that he found in it.
38约书亚 和 以色列 众人回到 底璧 ，攻打这城，
38Returning from thence to Dabir,
39就夺了 底璧 和属 底璧 的城邑，又擒获 底璧 的王，用刀将这些城中的人口尽行杀灭，没有留下一个。他待 底璧 和 底璧 王，像从前待 希伯 和 立拿 与 立拿 王一样。
39He took it and destroyed it: the king also thereof and all the towns round about he destroyed with the edge of the sword: he left not in it any remains: as he had done to Hebron and Lebna and to their kings, so did he to Dabir and to the king thereof.
40这样， 约书亚 击杀全地的人，就是山地、南地、高原、山坡的人，和那些地的诸王，没有留下一个。将凡有气息的尽行杀灭，正如耶和华— 以色列 的 神所吩咐的。
40So Josue conquered all the country of the hills and of the south and of the plain, and of Asedoth, with their kings: he left not any remains therein, but slew all that breathed, as the Lord the God of Israel had commanded him,
41约书亚 从 加低斯·巴尼亚 攻击到 迦萨 ，又攻击 歌珊 全地，直到 基遍 。
41From Cadesbarne even to Gaza. All the land of Gosen even to Gabaon,
42约书亚 一时杀败了这些王，并夺了他们的地，因为耶和华— 以色列 的 神为 以色列 争战。
42And all their kings, and their lands he took and wasted at one onset: for the Lord the God of Israel fought for him.
43于是 约书亚 和 以色列 众人回到 吉甲 的营中。
43And he returned with all Israel to the place of the camp in Galgal.
