1那时， 耶罗波安 的儿子 亚比雅 病了。
1At that time Abijah son of Jeroboam became ill,
2耶罗波安 对他的妻说：「你可以起来改装，使人不知道你是 耶罗波安 的妻，往 示罗 去，在那里有先知 亚希雅 。他曾告诉我说，你必作这民的王。
2and Jeroboam said to his wife, “Now get up, disguise yourself so they will not recognize you as my wife, and go to Shiloh. For Ahijah the prophet is there; it was he who spoke about my kingship over this people.
3现在你要带十个饼，与几个薄饼，和一瓶蜜去见他，他必告诉你儿子将要怎样。」
3Take with you ten loaves of bread, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will become of the boy.”
4耶罗波安 的妻就这样行，起身往 示罗 去，到了 亚希雅 的家。 亚希雅 因年纪老迈，眼目发直，不能看见。
4Jeroboam’s wife did as instructed; she arose and went to Shiloh and arrived at Ahijah’s house. Now Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were dim because of his age.
5耶和华先晓谕 亚希雅 说：「 耶罗波安 的妻要来问你，因她儿子病了，你当如此如此告诉她。她进来的时候必装作别的妇人。」
5But the LORD had said to Ahijah, “Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to ask you about her son, for he is ill. You are to say such and such to her, because when she arrives, she will be disguised.”
6她刚进门， 亚希雅 听见她脚步的响声，就说：「 耶罗波安 的妻，进来吧！你为何装作别的妇人呢？我奉差遣将凶事告诉你。
6So when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet entering the door, he said, “Come in, wife of Jeroboam! Why are you disguised? For I have been sent to you with bad news.
7你回去告诉 耶罗波安 说 ：『耶和华— 以色列 的 神如此说：我从民中将你高举，立你作我民 以色列 的君，
7Go, tell Jeroboam that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I raised you up from among the people and appointed you ruler over My people Israel.
8将国从 大卫 家夺回赐给你；你却不效法我仆人 大卫 ，遵守我的诫命，一心顺从我，行我眼中看为正的事。
8I tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you. But you were not like My servant David, who kept My commandments and followed Me with all his heart, doing only what was right in My eyes.
9你竟行恶，比那在你以先的更甚，为自己立了别神，铸了偶像，惹我发怒，将我丢在背后。
9You have done more evil than all who came before you. You have proceeded to make for yourself other gods and molten images to provoke Me, and you have flung Me behind your back.
10因此，我必使灾祸临到 耶罗波安 的家，将属 耶罗波安 的男丁，无论困住的、自由的都从 以色列 中剪除，必除尽 耶罗波安 的家，如人除尽粪土一般。
10Because of all this, behold, I am bringing disaster on the house of Jeroboam: I will cut off from Jeroboam every male, both slave and free, in Israel; I will burn up the house of Jeroboam as one burns up dung until it is gone!
11凡属 耶罗波安 的人，死在城中的必被狗吃，死在田野的必被空中的鸟吃。这是耶和华说的。』
11Anyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city will be eaten by dogs, and anyone who dies in the field will be eaten by the birds of the air.’ For the LORD has spoken.
12所以你起身回家去吧！你的脚一进城，你儿子就必死了。
12As for you, get up and go home. When your feet enter the city, the child will die.
13以色列 众人必为他哀哭，将他葬埋。凡属 耶罗波安 的人，惟有他得入坟墓；因为在 耶罗波安 的家中，只有他向耶和华— 以色列 的 神显出善行。
13All Israel will mourn for him and bury him. For this is the only one belonging to Jeroboam who will receive a proper burial, because only in him has the LORD, the God of Israel, found any good in the house of Jeroboam.
14耶和华必另立一王治理 以色列 。到了日期，他必剪除 耶罗波安 的家；那日期已经到了。
14Moreover, the LORD will raise up for Himself a king over Israel who will cut off the house of Jeroboam. This is the day—yes, even today!
15耶和华必击打 以色列 人，使他们摇动，像水中的芦苇一般；又将他们从耶和华赐给他们列祖的美地上拔出来，分散在大河那边；因为他们做木偶，惹耶和华发怒。
15For the LORD will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water. He will uproot Israel from this good land that He gave their fathers, and He will scatter them beyond the Euphrates, because they have made their Asherah poles, provoking the LORD to anger.
16因 耶罗波安 所犯的罪，又使 以色列 人陷在罪里，耶和华必将 以色列 人交给 仇敌 。」
16So He will give Israel over on account of the sins Jeroboam has committed and has caused Israel to commit.”
17耶罗波安 的妻起身回去，到了 得撒 ，刚到门槛，儿子就死了。
17Then Jeroboam’s wife got up and departed for Tirzah, and as soon as she stepped over the threshold of the house, the boy died.
18以色列 众人将他葬埋，为他哀哭，正如耶和华借他仆人先知 亚希雅 所说的话。
18And they buried him, and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word that the LORD had spoken through His servant Ahijah the prophet.
19耶罗波安 其余的事，他怎样争战，怎样作王，都写在 以色列 诸王记上。
19As for the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he waged war and how he reigned, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
20耶罗波安 作王二十二年，就与他列祖同睡。他儿子 拿答 接续他作王。
20And the length of Jeroboam’s reign was twenty-two years, and he rested with his fathers, and his son Nadab reigned in his place.
21所罗门 的儿子 罗波安 作 犹大 王。他登基的时候年四十一岁，在 耶路撒冷 ，就是耶和华从 以色列 众支派中所选择立他名的城，作王十七年。 罗波安 的母亲名叫 拿玛 ，是 亚扪 人。
21Meanwhile, Rehoboam son of Solomon reigned in Judah. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel in which to put His Name. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite.
22犹大 人行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，犯罪触动他的愤恨，比他们列祖更甚。
22And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and by the sins they committed they provoked Him to jealous anger more than all their fathers had done.
23因为他们在各高冈上，各青翠树下筑坛，立柱像和木偶。
23They also built for themselves high places, sacred pillars, and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every green tree.
24国中也有娈童。 犹大 人效法耶和华在 以色列 人面前所赶出的外邦人，行一切可憎恶的事。
24There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land. They imitated all the abominations of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
25罗波安 王第五年， 埃及 王 示撒 上来攻取 耶路撒冷 ，
25In the fifth year of Rehoboam’s reign, Shishak king of Egypt came up and attacked Jerusalem.
26夺了耶和华殿和王宫里的宝物，尽都带走，又夺去 所罗门 制造的金盾牌。
26He seized the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the royal palace. He took everything, including all the gold shields that Solomon had made.
27罗波安 王制造铜盾牌代替那金盾牌，交给守王宫门的护卫长看守。
27Then King Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place and committed them to the care of the captains of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace.
28王每逢进耶和华的殿，护卫兵就拿这盾牌，随后仍将盾牌送回，放在护卫房。
28And whenever the king entered the house of the LORD, the guards would bear the shields, and later they would return them to the guardroom.
29罗波安 其余的事，凡他所行的，都写在 犹大 列王记上。
29As for the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, along with all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
30罗波安 与 耶罗波安 时常争战。
30There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam throughout their days.
31罗波安 与他列祖同睡，葬在 大卫城 他列祖的坟地里。他母亲名叫 拿玛 ，是 亚扪 人。他儿子 亚比央 接续他作王。
31And Rehoboam rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David; his mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. And his son Abijam reigned in his place.
