1And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him:
2muithla rang hoiah maw, to tih ai boeh loe kami mah thuih ih lok hoiah maw, to tih ai boeh loe capat kroekhaih hoiah maw, Kri loe angzoh boeh, tiah nihcae mah thuih o naah mawn o hmah loe, tasoehhaih palungthin doeh tawn o hmah.
2That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.
3Mi mah doeh na ling o hmah nasoe: kami zae, anghmaa angtaa capa to amtueng moe, tanghaih bangah amtimh ving kami angzo hmaloe ai ah loe, to Ani to pha mak ai vop.
3Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
4To kami mah loe Sithaw kawk kami hoi Sithaw bok kaminawk boih to koeh ai, angmah hoi angmah to Sithaw pong kasang ah amkoeh; anih loe Sithaw ih tempul ah Sithaw baktiah anghnut moe, Sithaw baktiah angsahcop kami ah oh.
4Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.
5Nangcae khae ka oh naah, kang thuih o ih hae loknawk hae na pahnet o boeh maw?
5Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6Angmah ih atue phak naah anih amtueng thai hanah, anih patawnkung loe mi maw, tito vaihi na panoek o.
6And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time.
7Kasae kami loe tamquta hoi tok a sak boeh; anih loe vaihi anih Patawnkung Anih to toksakhaih thung hoi takhoe ving ai karoek to toksah vop tih.
7For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way.
8Patawnkung Anih to takhoe ving pacoengah loe, kasae kami to amtueng tih boeh, to kami to Anih mah angmah pakha thung ih takhi hoiah hum tih, Anih angzoh naah kaom lensawk aanghaih mah to kami to amrosak tih:
8And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him,
9to kasae kami loe Setan toksakhaih hoiah angzo ueloe, alinghaih hoiah sakthaihaih, angmathaih hoi dawnrai hmuennawk boih to sah tih,
9Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
10nihcae pahlong thai hanah, loktang amlunghaih to talawk o ai pongah, anghmaa angtaa kaminawk khaeah katoeng ai congca alinghaih to patoh tih.
10And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:
11Alinghaih lok to nihcae mah tang o thai hanah, Sithaw mah nihcae khaeah thacak zoekhaih to phasak tih:
11That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.
12loktang lok tanghaih katawn ai, katoeng ai loklam bangah kanawm acaeng kaminawk boih lokcaekhaih to om tih.
12But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth:
13Angraeng mah palung ih nawkamyanawk, Muithla ciimsakhaih hoi loktang lok tanghaih rang hoiah pahlong ah oh thai hanah, tangsuek nathuem hoiah Sithaw mah ang qoih o boeh, to pongah nangcae han Sithaw khaeah anghoehaih lawk ka thuih o toepsoep han oh:
13Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
14aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri lensawkhaih hnuk han ih ni, aicae ih kahoih tamthanglok hoiah anih mah to tiah ang kawk o.
14Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.
15To pongah nawkamyanawk, kacakah angdoe oh loe, lokthuihaih hoiah maw, to tih ai boeh loe capat hoiah maw kang patuk o ih khosakhaih atawk to kacakah patawn oh.
15Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace,
16Aicae palung pongah, aicae han tahmenhaih, kahoih oephaih hoi dungzan monghaih paekkung, aicae Ampa, Sithaw hoi Angraeng Jesu Kri angmah roe mah,
16Exhort your hearts, and confirm you in every good work and word.
17na poek o haih palungthin monghaih to paek nasoe loe, kahoih lokthuihaih hoi toksakhaih to caksak boih nasoe.
