1I call upon You, O LORD; come quickly to me. Hear my voice when I call to You.
1Žalm Davidův. Hospodine, k toběť volám, pospěš ke mně; pozoruj hlasu mého, když tebe vzývám.
2May my prayer be set before You like incense, my uplifted hands like the evening offering.
2Budiž příjemná modlitba má, jako kadění před oblíčejem tvým, pozdvižení rukou mých, jako obět večerní.
3Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.
3Polož, Hospodine, stráž ústům mým, ostříhej dveří rtů mých.
4Do not let my heart be drawn to any evil thing or take part in works of wickedness with men who do iniquity; let me not feast on their delicacies.
4Nedopouštěj srdci mému uchýliti se ke zlé věci, k činění skutků bezbožných, s muži činícími nepravost, a abych nebyl přelouzen líbostmi jejich.
5Let the righteous man strike me; let his rebuke be an act of loving devotion. It is oil for my head; let me not refuse it. For my prayer is ever against the deeds of the wicked.
5Nechť mne bije spravedlivý, přijmu to za dobrodiní, a nechť tresce mne, bude mi to olej nejčistší, kterýž neprorazí hlavy mé, ale ještěť modlitba má platná bude proti zlosti jejich.
6When their rulers are thrown down from the cliffs, the people will listen to my words, for they are pleasant.
6Smetáni jsou do míst skalnatých soudcové jejich, aby slyšeli slova má, nebo jsou libá.
7As when one plows and breaks up the soil, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
7Jako když někdo roubá a štípá dříví na zemi, tak se rozletují kosti naše až k ústům hrobovým.
8But my eyes are fixed on You, O GOD the Lord. In You I seek refuge; do not leave my soul defenseless.
8Ale k toběť, Hospodine Pane, oči mé; v tebe doufám, nevylévej duše mé.
9Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, and from the lures of evildoers.
9Zachovej mne od osídla, kteréž mi roztáhli, a od sítek činících nepravost.
10Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.
10Nechť padnou hromadně do sítek svých bezbožní, a já zatím přejdu.
