1Now Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath son of Levi, along with some Reubenites—Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth—conducted
1利未 的曾孙、 哥辖 的孙子、 以斯哈 的儿子 可拉 ，和 吕便 子孙中 以利押 的儿子 大坍 、 亚比兰 ，与 比勒 的儿子 安 ，
2a rebellion against Moses, along with 250 men of Israel renowned as leaders of the congregation and representatives in the assembly.
2并 以色列 会中的二百五十个首领，就是有名望选入会中的人，在 摩西 面前一同起来，
3They came together against Moses and Aaron and told them, “You have taken too much upon yourselves! For everyone in the entire congregation is holy, and the LORD is in their midst. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?”
3聚集攻击 摩西 、 亚伦 ，说：「你们擅自专权！全会众个个既是圣洁，耶和华也在他们中间，你们为什么自高，超过耶和华的会众呢？」
4When Moses heard this, he fell facedown.
4摩西 听见这话就俯伏在地，
5Then he said to Korah and all his followers, “Tomorrow morning the LORD will reveal who belongs to Him and who is holy, and He will bring that person near to Himself. The one He chooses, He will bring near to Himself.
5对 可拉 和他一党的人说：「到了早晨，耶和华必指示谁是属他的，谁是圣洁的，就叫谁亲近他；他所拣选的是谁，必叫谁亲近他。
6You, Korah, and all your followers are to do as follows: Take censers,
6可拉 啊，你们要这样行，你和你的一党要拿香炉来。
7and tomorrow you are to place fire and incense in them in the presence of the LORD. Then the man the LORD chooses will be the one who is holy. It is you sons of Levi who have taken too much upon yourselves!”
7明日，在耶和华面前，把火盛在炉中，把香放在其上。耶和华拣选谁，谁就为圣洁。你们这 利未 的子孙擅自专权了！」
8Moses also said to Korah, “Now listen, you sons of Levi!
8摩西 又对 可拉 说：「 利未 的子孙哪，你们听我说！
9Is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel and brought you near to Himself to perform the work at the LORD’s tabernacle, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them?
9以色列 的 神从 以色列 会中将你们分别出来，使你们亲近他，办耶和华帐幕的事，并站在会众面前替他们当差。
10He has brought you near, you and all your fellow Levites, but you are seeking the priesthood as well.
10耶和华又使你和你一切弟兄— 利未 的子孙—一同亲近他，这岂为小事？你们还要求祭司的职任吗？
11Therefore, it is you and all your followers who have conspired against the LORD! As for Aaron, who is he that you should grumble against him?”
11你和你一党的人聚集是要攻击耶和华。 亚伦 算什么，你们竟向他发怨言呢？」
12Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they said, “We will not come!
12摩西 打发人去召 以利押 的儿子 大坍 、 亚比兰 。他们说：「我们不上去！
13Is it not enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness? Must you also appoint yourself as ruler over us?
13你将我们从流奶与蜜之地领上来，要在旷野杀我们，这岂为小事？你还要自立为王辖管我们吗？
14Moreover, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you gouge out the eyes of these men? No, we will not come!”
14并且你没有将我们领到流奶与蜜之地，也没有把田地和葡萄园给我们为业。难道你要剜这些人的眼睛吗？我们不上去！」
15Then Moses became very angry and said to the LORD, “Do not regard their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them or mistreated a single one of them.”
15摩西 就甚发怒，对耶和华说：「求你不要享受他们的供物。我并没有夺过他们一匹驴，也没有害过他们一个人。」
16And Moses said to Korah, “You and all your followers are to appear before the LORD tomorrow—you and they and Aaron.
16摩西 对 可拉 说：「明天，你和你一党的人，并 亚伦 ，都要站在耶和华面前；
17Each man is to take his censer, place incense in it, and present it before the LORD—250 censers. You and Aaron are to present your censers as well.”
17各人要拿一个香炉，共二百五十个，把香放在上面，到耶和华面前。你和 亚伦 也各拿自己的香炉。」
18So each man took his censer, put fire and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
18于是他们各人拿一个香炉，盛上火，加上香，同 摩西 、 亚伦 站在会幕门前。
19When Korah had gathered his whole assembly against them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the glory of the LORD appeared to the whole congregation.
19可拉 招聚全会众到会幕门前，要攻击 摩西 、 亚伦 ；耶和华的荣光就向全会众显现。
20And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
20耶和华晓谕 摩西 、 亚伦 说：
21“Separate yourselves from this congregation so that I may consume them in an instant.”
21「你们离开这会众，我好在转眼之间把他们灭绝。」
22But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, when one man sins, will You be angry with the whole congregation?”
22摩西 、 亚伦 就俯伏在地，说：「 神，万人之灵的 神啊，一人犯罪，你就要向全会众发怒吗？」
23Then the LORD said to Moses,
23耶和华晓谕 摩西 说：
24“Tell the congregation to move away from the dwellings of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.”
24「你吩咐会众说：『你们离开 可拉 、 大坍 、 亚比兰 帐棚的四围。』」
25So Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him.
25摩西 起来，往 大坍 、 亚比兰 那里去； 以色列 的长老也随着他去。
26And he warned the congregation, “Move away now from the tents of these wicked men. Do not touch anything that belongs to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.”
26他吩咐会众说：「你们离开这恶人的帐棚吧，他们的物件，什么都不可摸，恐怕你们陷在他们的罪中，与他们一同消灭。」
27So they moved away from the dwellings of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. Meanwhile, Dathan and Abiram had come out and stood at the entrances to their tents with their wives and children and infants.
27于是众人离开 可拉 、 大坍 、 亚比兰 帐棚的四围。 大坍 、 亚比兰 带着妻子、儿女、小孩子，都出来，站在自己的帐棚门口。
28Then Moses said, “This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things, for it was not my own doing:
28摩西 说：「我行的这一切事本不是凭我自己心意行的，乃是耶和华打发我行的，必有证据使你们知道。
29If these men die a natural death, or if they suffer the fate of all men, then the LORD has not sent me.
29这些人死若与世人无异，或是他们所遭的与世人相同，就不是耶和华打发我来的。
30But if the LORD brings about something unprecedented, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them and all that belongs to them so that they go down alive into Sheol, then you will know that these men have treated the LORD with contempt.”
30倘若耶和华创作一件新事，使地开口，把他们和一切属他们的都吞下去，叫他们活活地坠落阴间，你们就明白这些人是藐视耶和华了。」
31As soon as Moses had finished saying all this, the ground beneath them split open,
31摩西 刚说完了这一切话，他们脚下的地就开了口，
32and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households—all Korah’s men and all their possessions.
32把他们和他们的家眷，并一切属 可拉 的人丁、财物，都吞下去。
33They went down alive into Sheol with all they owned. The earth closed over them, and they vanished from the assembly.
33这样，他们和一切属他们的，都活活地坠落阴间；地口在他们上头照旧合闭，他们就从会中灭亡。
34At their cries, all the people of Israel who were around them fled, saying, “The earth may swallow us too!”
34在他们四围的 以色列 众人听他们呼号，就都逃跑，说：「恐怕地也把我们吞下去。」
35And fire came forth from the LORD and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.
35又有火从耶和华那里出来，烧灭了那献香的二百五十个人。
36Then the LORD said to Moses,
36耶和华晓谕 摩西 说：
37“Tell Eleazar son of Aaron the priest to remove the censers from the flames and to scatter the coals far away, because the censers are holy.
37「你吩咐祭司 亚伦 的儿子 以利亚撒 从火中捡起那些香炉来，把火撒在别处，因为那些香炉是圣的。
38As for the censers of those who sinned at the cost of their own lives, hammer them into sheets to overlay the altar, for these were presented before the LORD, and so have become holy. They will serve as a sign to the Israelites.”
38把那些犯罪、自害己命之人的香炉，叫人锤成片子，用以包坛。那些香炉本是他们在耶和华面前献过的，所以是圣的，并且可以给 以色列 人作记号。」
39So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers brought by those who had been burned up, and he had them hammered out to overlay the altar,
39于是祭司 以利亚撒 将被烧之人所献的铜香炉拿来，人就锤出来，用以包坛，
40just as the LORD commanded him through Moses. This was to be a reminder to the Israelites that no outsider who is not a descendant of Aaron should approach to offer incense before the LORD, lest he become like Korah and his followers.
40给 以色列 人作纪念，使 亚伦 后裔之外的人不得近前来在耶和华面前烧香，免得他遭 可拉 和他一党所遭的。这乃是照耶和华借着 摩西 所吩咐的。
41The next day the whole congregation of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron, saying, “You have killed the LORD’s people!”
41第二天， 以色列 全会众都向 摩西 、 亚伦 发怨言说：「你们杀了耶和华的百姓了。」
42But when the congregation gathered against them, Moses and Aaron turned toward the Tent of Meeting, and suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the LORD appeared.
42会众聚集攻击 摩西 、 亚伦 的时候，向会幕观看，不料，有云彩遮盖了，耶和华的荣光显现。
43Then Moses and Aaron went to the front of the Tent of Meeting,
43摩西 、 亚伦 就来到会幕前。
44and the LORD said to Moses,
44耶和华吩咐 摩西 说：
45“Get away from this congregation so that I may consume them in an instant.” And Moses and Aaron fell facedown.
45「你们离开这会众，我好在转眼之间把他们灭绝。」他们二人就俯伏于地。
46Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer, place fire from the altar in it, and add incense. Go quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them, because wrath has come out from the LORD; the plague has begun.”
46摩西 对 亚伦 说：「拿你的香炉，把坛上的火盛在其中，又加上香，快快带到会众那里，为他们赎罪；因为有忿怒从耶和华那里出来，瘟疫已经发作了。」
47So Aaron took the censer as Moses had ordered and ran into the midst of the assembly. And seeing that the plague had begun among the people, he offered the incense and made atonement for the people.
47亚伦 照着 摩西 所说的拿来，跑到会中，不料，瘟疫在百姓中已经发作了。他就加上香，为百姓赎罪。
48He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague was halted.
48他站在活人死人中间，瘟疫就止住了。
49But those who died from the plague numbered 14,700, in addition to those who had died on account of Korah.
49除了因 可拉 事情死的以外，遭瘟疫死的，共有一万四千七百人。
50Then Aaron returned to Moses at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, since the plague had been halted.
50亚伦 回到会幕门口，到 摩西 那里，瘟疫已经止住了。
