Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)
1So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1Jeruja jura ngaianina Christuni mili ngundrananto, ja Godaia kurukurulaia ngamalkijiribanietja.
2Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
2Mina jura morla ngamalkijiribanietjani wontiai? Kulno talku mankamankananto.
3I care very little, however, if I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.
3Ngakangu jenia baku ngangai, jura kara kanaia ditji kara ngana wontjananto, ngangau ngani munta wata wontjateriai.
4My conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who judges me.
4Ngani munta panila milkila, windri nunkangu ngani wata talku ngankateriai; Nulia ngana wontjai, Nauja Kapara nganai.
5Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
5Jeruja wata ditjini ngopera kalala kuranau Kapara wokaranantulu, Nulia praitjani kurala nganai ngalpuruja kurukurula, ja tinkari ngankala nganai ngara woraia ngundrana; ja ngadani pratjanani jurakokana pantjila nganai Godandru.
6Brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what is written. Then you will not take pride in one man over another.
6Jenia, ngatata worajai, ngani ngakangundru ja Apollongundru jatana warai jurangundru, ngangau jura ngalingundru kiririnanto, wata nunkangu morla pirna ngundraterinanto mina dakanala parai, ngangau jura wata kulnuni wombatjerananto kulnuni.
7For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?
7Warle jidna pirna ngankana warai? Mina jundru ngamalkai, ninaia jundru wata maninala? Jundru ninaia morlalu matja maninani, minandru jidni jurakokateriai, jundru ninaia wata maninani?
8Already you have all you want. Already you have become rich. Without us, you have become kings. How I wish you really were kings, so that we might be kings with you!
8Jura matja jerto nganai; jura kana poto pirnanto pantjina warai, ngalingu panini jura kapara pantjina warai. Ngumu nganananto jura kapara nganai, ngangau bakana ngali jurangu jela kapara nganananto.
9For it seems to me that God has displayed us apostles at the end of the procession, like prisoners appointed for death. We have become a spectacle to the whole world, to angels as well as to men.
9Ngato ngundrai, Godali ngaianina Apostel worana ngadanietja terkibana warai, narini matja jinkina jeribaka; ngangau ngaiani wondrani malka pantjina warai mitalani ja angelani ja kanani.
10We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we are dishonored.
10Ngaiani patipati nganai Christungundru, jura kiri nganai Christungu; ngaiani waltowalto, jura ngurunguru; jura pirna, ngaiani pirnala pani.
11To this very hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.
11Karari ditjielu ngaiani mauali ja tertieli ngamai ja balu nganai, ja tanali ngaianina maramokujeli nandrai, ja piri pani ngaiani ngamalkai,
12We work hard with our own hands. When we are vilified, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;
12Ja jiglerali ngaianini marali ngankai. Tanali ngaianingu kaldri jatanani, jeruja ngaiani ngurungutanani; tana ngaianingu tirikaripaterinani, jeruja ngaiani tanana patai;
13when we are slandered, we answer gently. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world.
13Tanali ngaianina ngirkibanani, jeruja ngaiani jaura murlali jinkiai; mitalaia tarpani mita ngaiani pantjina warai, kana pratjanaia worani kararielu.
14I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you as my beloved children.
14Wata jurana nintali ngankala ngato jenia dakai, a‐ai, ngato jurana ngakani kupa ngantjalu jeribaka kurukurubai.
15Even if you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.
15Jura 10,000 wapalkanietja Christuni ngamalkanani, jeruja jura wata ngaperi marapu ngamalkai; ngangau Christungu Jesungu ngantjani jaurali ngato jurana kantji patana warai.
16Therefore I urge you to imitate me.
16Jeruja ngato jurana kurukurubai, ngakangu karipaterianimai.
17That is why I have sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which is exactly what I teach everywhere in every church.
17Jendrania ngato Timotheus jurangu jinpana warai, nau ngakani kupa ngantjalu ja talku nganai Kaparani, nulu jurana mangatandra wilpa ngankala nganai ngakani palto Christungu, worderu ngato paruparu mili wolara pratjanani ngujangujara jinkiai.
18Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.
18Palpa jurangundru wombatjarai, ngangau tanali ngundrai, ngani wata wokarala nganai.
19But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only what these arrogant people are saying, but what power they have.
19Wolja ngani jurangu wokarala nganai, Kapara jertapaterinani, ja ngato ngujamala nganai wata wombatjaranietjaia jaura, a‐ai, ngurula.
20For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
20Ngangau wata jaurani Godaia milila parai, a‐ai, ngurulani.
21Which do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and with a gentle spirit?
21Mina jura ngantjai? Ngani pitali jurangu wokarananto kara, ngantjanali ja Jaola manjujeli kara?
