Tongan Bible, Revised West Version
1The king rejoices in your strength, LORD! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!
1ʻE Sihova, ʻe fiefia ʻae tuʻi ʻi ho mālohi; pea ʻe fiefia lahi ʻaupito ia ʻi hoʻo fakamoʻui.
2You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.
2Kuo ke foaki kiate ia ʻae holi ʻa hono loto, pea naʻe ʻikai te ke taʻofi ʻiate ia ʻae kole ʻa hono loungutu. Sila.
3For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
3He ʻoku ke tokoni ʻaki ia ʻae ngaahi tāpuaki ʻoe lelei: ʻoku ke ʻai ki hono fofonga ʻae tatā fakatuʻi ʻoe koula lelei.
4He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.
4Naʻa ne kole ʻae moʻui ʻiate koe, pea naʻa ke foaki ia kiate ia, ʻio, ʻae ngaahi ʻaho lōloa ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata.
5His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.
5ʻOku lahi ʻene vikiviki ʻi hoʻo fakamoʻui: kuo ke tuku kiate ia ʻae fakaʻapaʻapa mo e nāunau.
6For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.
6He kuo ke ngaohi ia ke mātuʻaki monūʻia ʻo taʻengata: kuo ke fakafiefia lahi ʻaupito ia ʻaki ho fofonga.
7For the king trusts in the LORD. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.
7He ʻoku falala ʻae tuʻi kia Sihova, pea ko e meʻa ʻi he ʻaloʻofa ʻoe Fungani Māʻolunga ʻe ʻikai ueʻi ia.
8Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
8ʻE ʻilo ʻe ho nima ʻa ho ngaahi fili kotoa pē: pea ʻe ʻilo ʻe ho nima toʻomataʻu ʻakinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate koe.
9You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.
9Te ke ngaohi ʻakinautolu ke hangē ko e ngotoʻumu vela ʻi he ʻaho ʻo hoʻo tuputāmaki: ʻe fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu ʻe Sihova ʻi hono houhau, ʻe keina ʻo ʻosi ʻakinautolu ʻe he afi.
10You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men.
10Te ke fakaʻauha honau fua mei he fonua, mo honau hako mei he ngaahi fānau ʻae tangata.
11For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.
11He naʻa nau tokanga ke fai kovi kiate koe: naʻa nau fakatupu ʻae mahalo kovi, ʻaia naʻe ʻikai te nau faʻa fai.
12For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.
12Ko ia te ke fai ke fulituʻa ʻakinautolu, ʻoka ke ka ʻai ʻae ngaahi ngahau ki he uka ki he mata ʻokinautolu.
13Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.
13Ke ke māʻolunga, ʻE Sihova, ʻi he mālohi ʻoʻou: ko ia te mau hiva mo fakamālō ai ki hoʻo māfimafi.
