1Pea naʻe toki ʻunuʻunu mai ʻae ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe mātuʻa ʻoe kau Livai kia ʻEliesa ko e taulaʻeiki, pea kia Siosiua ko e foha ʻo Nuni, pea ki he ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe kau mātuʻa ʻoe ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli;
1Now the family heads of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the other tribes of Israel
2Pea naʻa nau lea kiate kinautolu ʻi Sailo ʻi he fonua ko Kēnani, ʻo pehē, “Naʻe fekau ʻe Sihova ʻi he nima ʻo Mōsese ke foaki kiate kimautolu ʻae ngaahi kolo ke mau nofo ai, mo e ngaahi potu takatakai ʻi ai ki heʻemau fanga manu.”
2at Shiloh in the land of Canaan and said to them, “The LORD commanded through Moses that we be given cities in which to live, together with pasturelands for our livestock.”
3Pea naʻe foaki ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ki he kau Livai mei honau tofiʻa, ʻi he fekau ʻa Sihova, ʻae ngaahi kolo ni mo honau ngaahi potu takatakai.
3So by the command of the LORD, the Israelites gave the Levites these cities and their pasturelands out of their own inheritance:
4Pea naʻe tō mai ʻae talotalo ki he ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe kau Kohate: pea ko e fānau ʻa ʻElone ko e taulaʻeiki, ʻaia naʻe ʻi he kau Livai, naʻe maʻu ʻae tofiʻa ʻi he talotalo mei he faʻahinga ʻo Siuta, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Penisimani, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu.
4The first lot came out for the Kohathite clans. The Levites who were descendants of Aaron the priest received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
5Pea ko hono toe ʻoe fānau ʻa Kohate naʻa nau maʻu ʻi he talotalo ʻae tofiʻa mei he ngaahi fale ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo ʻIfalemi, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Tani, pea mei he vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu.
5The remaining descendants of Kohath received ten cities by lot from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
6Pea ko e fānau ʻa Kesoni naʻa nau maʻu ʻi he talotalo ʻae tofiʻa mei he ngaahi fale ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsaka, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻAseli, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Nafitali, pea mei hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase ʻi Pesani, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu.
6The descendants of Gershon received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
7Ko e fānau ʻa Melali ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga naʻa nau maʻu mei he faʻahinga ʻo Lupeni, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Kata, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Sepuloni, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma ua.
7And the descendants of Merari received twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
8Pea naʻe foaki ʻi he talotalo ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻae ngaahi kolo ni mo honau ngaahi potu takatakai ki he kau Livai, ʻo hangē ko e fekau ʻa Sihova ʻi he nima ʻo Mōsese.
8So the Israelites allotted to the Levites these cities, together with their pasturelands, as the LORD had commanded through Moses.
9¶ Pea naʻa nau foaki mei he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Siuta, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Simione, ʻae ngaahi kolo ni ʻaia ʻoku lau honau hingoa,
9From the tribes of Judah and Simeon, they designated these cities by name
10‌ʻAia naʻe maʻu ʻe he fānau ʻe ʻElone, he naʻa nau ʻoe kau Kohate, ʻaia naʻe ʻi he fānau ʻa Livai: he ko e ʻuluaki tufakanga naʻe ʻonautolu.
10to the descendants of Aaron from the Kohathite clans of the Levites, because the first lot fell to them:
11Pea naʻe foaki kiate kinautolu ʻae kolo ʻo ʻAlipa ko e tamai ʻa ʻAnaki, ʻae kolo ko ia ko Hepeloni, ʻi he fonua moʻunga ʻo Siuta, mo hono veʻe kolo ʻoku tuʻu takatakai.
11They gave them Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), with its surrounding pasturelands, in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the father of Anak.)
12Ka ko e ngaahi ngoue ʻoe kolo, mo e ngaahi potu kakai ʻo ia, naʻa nau foaki kia Kelepi ko e foha ʻo Sifune ko e tofiʻa moʻona.
12But they had given the fields and villages around the city to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his possession.
13¶ naʻe pehē pe ʻenau foaki ki he fānau ʻa ʻElone ko e taulaʻeiki ʻa Hepeloni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate faainoa: mo Lipina mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
13So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave these cities, together with their pasturelands: Hebron, a city of refuge for the manslayer, Libnah,

17Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Penisimani, ko Kipione mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Kepa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
17And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon, Geba,

19Ko e ngaahi kolo kotoa pē ʻae fānau ʻa ʻElone, ko e kau taulaʻeiki, ko e kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu mo honau ngaahi tuaʻā kolo.
19In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the priests, the descendants of Aaron.
20¶ Pea ko e ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Kohate, ko e kau Livai naʻe toe ʻi he fānau ʻa Kohate, naʻe maʻu ʻekinautolu ʻae ngaahi kolo ko honau tofiʻa mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIfalemi.
20The remaining Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted these cities: From the tribe of Ephraim
21He naʻa nau foaki kiate kinautolu ʻa Sikemi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻi he moʻunga ko ʻIfalemi, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate faainoa; mo Kesa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,

26In all, ten cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the rest of the Kohathite clans.
27¶ Pea naʻa nau foaki ki he fānau ʻa Kesoni, ʻi he faʻahinga ʻoe kau Livai, mei hono potu ʻe taha ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ʻa Kolani ʻi Pesani mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate faainoa mo Pesitila mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia ko e kolo ʻe ua.

42Naʻe tuʻu ʻae ngaahi kolo ni taki taha mo honau tuaʻā kolo naʻe takatakai: naʻe pehē pe ʻae ngaahi kolo ni kotoa pē.
42Each of these cities had its own surrounding pasturelands; this was true for all the cities.

44And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45Naʻe ʻikai liʻaki ha meʻa ʻe taha ʻi he meʻa lelei kotoa pē naʻe folofola ki ai ʻa Sihova ki he fale ʻo ʻIsileli; naʻe hoko kotoa pē.
45Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel had failed; everything was fulfilled.
