1Ko e tala mamafa ʻoku kau ki Taia. Tangi, ʻakimoutolu ʻae ngaahi vaka ʻo Tasisi; he kuo liʻaki ia, ko ia ʻoku ʻikai ai ha fale, pe ha hū ki loto: ʻoku fakahā ia kiate kinautolu mei he fonua ko Kitimi.
1The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of the sea, for the house is destroyed, from whence they were wont to come: from the land of Cethim it is revealed to them.
2Mou fakalongo pe, ʻakimoutolu ʻae kakai ʻoe motu; ʻa koe kuo fakamaʻumeʻaʻi ʻe he kakai fakatau ʻo Saitoni, ʻakinautolu ʻoku faʻa folau ʻi he tahi.
2Be silent, you that dwell in the island: the merchants of Sidon passing over the sea, have filled thee.
3Ko ʻene koloa ko e tupu ʻoe tenga ʻi Sihoa ʻi he veʻe vai lahi, mo e ututaʻu mei he vaitafe; pea ko e fakatauʻanga ia ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga.
3The seed of the Nile in many waters, the harvest of the river is her revenue: and she is become the mart of the nations.
4Ke mā ʻa koe, ʻE Saitoni: he kuo lea ʻae tahi, ʻio, ʻae mālohi ʻoe tahi, ʻo pehē, “ʻOku ʻikai te u langa, pe fanauʻi ʻae fānau, pea ʻoku ʻikai te u tauhi ha kau talavou, pe akonakiʻi ha kau taʻahine.”
4Be thou ashamed, O Sidon: for the sea speaketh, even the strength of the sea, saying: I have not been in labour, nor have I brought forth, nor have I nourished up young men, nor brought up virgins.
5‌ʻO hangē ko e ongoongo naʻe kau ki ʻIsipite, ʻe pehē ʻenau mamahi lahi ʻi he ongoongo ʻo Taia.
5When it shall be heard in Egypt, they will be sorry when they shall hear of Tyre:
6‌ʻAlu hake ʻakimoutolu ki Tasisi; tangilāulau, ʻakimoutolu ko e kakai ʻoe motu.
6Pass over the seas, howl, ye inhabitants of the island.
7Ko hoʻomou kolo fakafiefia ʻa eni, ʻaia naʻe tuʻu ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ʻi muʻa? Ko hono vaʻe ʻoʻona te ne ʻave ia ki he mamaʻo ke ʻāunofo ai.
7Is not this your city, which gloried from of old in her antiquity? her feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.
8Ko hai kuo ne tuʻutuʻuni ʻae meʻa ni ki Taia, ko e kolo naʻe faʻa fakanofo ʻae ngaahi pule, ko hono kakai fakatau ko e houʻeiki, pea ko kinautolu ʻoku fefakatauʻaki ʻi ai ko e kau ongoongo ʻi māmani?
8Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, that was formerly crowned, whose merchants were princes, and her traders the nobles of the earth?
9Ko Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau kuo ne tuʻutuʻuni ki ai, ke fakamā ʻae laukau ʻoe nāunau kotoa pē, pea ke fakamatavaleaʻi ʻae kakai ongoongo kotoa pē ʻo māmani.
9The Lord of hosts hath designed it, to pull down the pride of all glory, and bring to disgrace all the glorious ones of the earth.
10‌ʻE ʻofefine ʻo Tasisi, ke ke ʻalu ʻi ho fonua ʻo hangē ha vaitafe kuo maumauʻi hono kauvai.
10Pass thy land as a river, O daughter of the sea, thou hast a girdle no more.
11Naʻa ne mafao hono nima ʻi he tahi, naʻa ne lulululu ʻae ngaahi puleʻanga: kuo tuku mai ʻe Sihova ha fekau ʻoku kau ki he kolo fakatau, ke maumauʻi hono ngaahi potu mālohi.
11He stretched out his hand over the sea, he troubled kingdoms: the Lord hath given a charge against Chanaan, to destroy the strong ones thereof.
12Pea naʻa ne pehē, ʻE ʻikai te ke toe fiefia, ʻa koe ko e taʻahine kuo taʻomia, ʻae ʻofefine ʻo Saitoni: ke ke tuʻu hake, ʻalu atu ki Kitimi; pea naʻa mo ia ʻe ʻikai te ke maʻu ʻi ai ha mālōlō.
12And he said: Thou shalt glory no more, O virgin daughter of Sidon, who art oppressed: arise and sail over to Cethim, there also thou shalt have no, rest.
13Vakai ki he fonua ʻoe kakai ʻo Kalitia; naʻe ʻikai ko ha kakai ʻakinautolu, ka ʻi heʻene toki langaʻi ia maʻanautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he toafa ʻe he kakai ʻo ʻAsilia: ko kinautolu ia naʻa nau fokotuʻu hono ngaahi fale leʻo, mo nau langa hake hono ngaahi fale fakaʻeiʻeiki; ka naʻa ne ʻomi ia ki he fakaʻauha.
13Behold the land of the Chaldeans, there was not such a people, the Assyrian founded it: they have led away the strong ones thereof into captivity, they have destroyed the houses thereof, they have brought it to ruin.
14Tangi, ʻakimoutolu ʻae ngaahi vaka ʻo Tasisi: he kuo maumauʻi ho potu mālohi.
14Howl, O ye ships of the sea, for your strength is laid waste.
15Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ʻe fakangalo ʻa Taia ʻi he taʻu ʻe fitungofulu, ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi ʻaho ʻo ha tuʻi ʻe taha: pea hili ʻae taʻu ʻe fitungofulu ʻe hiva ʻa Taia ʻo hangē ko e fefine angahala.
15And it shall come to pass in that day that thou, O Tyre, shalt be forgotten, seventy years, according to the days of one king: but after seventy years, there shall be unto Tyre as the song of a harlot.
16Toʻo ha haʻape mo ke feʻaluʻaki ʻi he kolo, ʻa koe ko e fefine angahala naʻe fakangalo hifo; tā ʻae meʻa tā ke ongo mālie, hiva ʻaki ʻae ngaahi hiva lahi, koeʻuhi ke fakamanatuʻi koe.
16Take a harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten: sing well, sing many a song, that thou mayst be remembered.
17¶ Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē hili ʻae taʻu ʻe fitungofulu, ʻe ʻaʻahi ʻa Sihova ki Taia, pea ʻe foki ia ki heʻene totongi, pea te ne fai hala mo e ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻo māmani ʻoku ʻi he funga ʻoe kelekele.
17And it shall come to pass after seventy years, that the Lord will visit Tyre, and will bring her back again to her traffic: and she shall commit fornication again with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
18Ka ko ʻene koloa mo ia ʻoku ne maʻu ʻe fakatapui maʻa Sihova: ʻe ʻikai tānaki pe fakamaʻopoʻopo ia; he ko ʻene koloa ʻe ʻanautolu ia ʻoku nofo ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova, ke mahu ʻae kai, pea tolonga ʻae kofu.
18And her merchandise and her hire shall be sanctified to the Lord: they shall not be kept in store, nor laid up: for her merchandise shall be for them that shall dwell before the Lord, that they may eat unto fulness, and be clothed for a continuance.
