1Y ESTAS son las generaciones de Esaú, el cual es Edom.
1This is the account of Esau (that is, Edom).
2Esaú tomó sus mujeres de las hijas de Canaán: á Ada, hija de Elón Hetheo, y á Aholibama, hija de Ana, hija de Zibeón el Heveo;
2Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
3Y á Basemath, hija de Ismael, hermana de Navaioth.
3and Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
4Y Ada parió á Esaú á Eliphaz; y Basemath parió á Reuel.
4And Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath gave birth to Reuel,
5Y Aholibama parió á Jeús, y á Jaalam, y á Cora: estos son los hijos de Esaú, que le nacieron en la tierra de Canaán.
5and Oholibamah gave birth to Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
6Y Esaú tomó sus mujeres, y sus hijos, y sus hijas, y todas las personas de su casa, y sus ganados, y todas sus bestias, y toda su hacienda que había adquirido en la tierra de Canaán, y fuése á otra tierra de delante de Jacob su hermano:
6Later, Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the people of his household, along with his livestock, all his other animals, and all the property he had acquired in Canaan, and he moved to a land far away from his brother Jacob.
7Porque la hacienda de ellos era grande, y no podían habitar juntos, ni la tierra de su peregrinación los podía sostener á causa de sus ganados.
7For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together; the land where they stayed could not support them because of their livestock.
8Y Esaú habitó en el monte de Seir: Esaú es Edom.
8So Esau (that is, Edom) settled in the area of Mount Seir.
9Estos son los linajes de Esaú, padre de Edom, en el monte de Seir.
9This is the account of Esau, the father of the Edomites, in the area of Mount Seir.
10Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Esaú: Eliphaz, hijo de Ada, mujer de Esaú; Reuel, hijo de Basemath, mujer de Esaú.
10These are the names of Esau’s sons: Eliphaz son of Esau’s wife Adah, and Reuel son of Esau’s wife Basemath.
11Y los hijos de Eliphaz fueron Temán, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, y Cenaz.
11The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz.
12Y Timna fué concubina de Eliphaz, hijo de Esaú, la cual le parió á Amalec: estos son los hijos de Ada, mujer de Esaú.
12Additionally, Timna, a concubine of Esau’s son Eliphaz, gave birth to Amalek. These are the grandsons of Esau’s wife Adah.
13Y los hijos de Reuel fueron Nahath, Zera, Samma, y Mizza: estos son los hijos de Basemath, mujer de Esaú.
13These are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. They are the grandsons of Esau’s wife Basemath.
14Estos fueron los hijos de Aholibama, mujer de Esaú, hija de Ana, que fué hija de Zibeón: ella parió á Esaú á Jeús, Jaalam, y Cora.
14These are the sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah (daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon) whom she bore to Esau: Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.
15Estos son los duques de los hijos de Esaú. Hijos de Eliphaz, primogénito de Esaú: el duque Temán, el duque Omar, el duque Zepho, el duque Cenaz,
15These are the chiefs among the sons of Esau. The sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau: Chiefs Teman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz,
16El duque Cora, el duque Gatam, y el duque Amalec: estos son los duques de Eliphaz en la tierra de Edom; estos fueron los hijos de Ada.
16Korah, Gatam, and Amalek. They are the chiefs of Eliphaz in the land of Edom, and they are the grandsons of Adah.
17Y estos son los hijos de Reuel, hijo de Esaú: el duque Nahath, el duque Zera, el duque Samma, y el duque Mizza: estos son los duques de la línea de Reuel en la tierra de Edom; estos hijos vienen de Basemath, mujer de Esaú.
17These are the sons of Esau’s son Reuel: Chiefs Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. They are the chiefs descended from Reuel in the land of Edom, and they are the grandsons of Esau’s wife Basemath.
18Y estos son los hijos de Aholibama, mujer de Esaú: el duque Jeús, el duque Jaalam, y el duque Cora: estos fueron los duques que salieron de Aholibama, mujer de Esaú, hija de Ana.
18These are the sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah: Chiefs Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. They are the chiefs descended from Esau’s wife Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
19Estos, pues, son los hijos de Esaú, y sus duques: él es Edom.
19All these are the sons of Esau (that is, Edom), and they were their chiefs.
20Y estos son los hijos de Seir Horeo, moradores de aquella tierra: Lotán, Sobal, Zibeón, Ana,
20These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who were living in the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
21Disón, Ezer, y Disán: estos son los duques de los Horeos, hijos de Seir en la tierra de Edom.
21Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. They are the chiefs of the Horites, the descendants of Seir in the land of Edom.
22Los hijos de Lotán fueron Hori y Hemán; y Timna fué hermana de Lotán.
22The sons of Lotan were Hori and Hemam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.
23Y los hijos de Sobal fueron Alván, Manahath, Ebal, Sepho, y Onán.
23These are the sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
24Y los hijos de Zibeón fueron Aja, y Ana. Este Ana es el que descubrió los mulos en el desierto, cuando apacentaba los asnos de Zibeón su padre.
24These are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. (This is the Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness as he was pasturing the donkeys of his father Zibeon.)
25Los hijos de Ana fueron Disón, y Aholibama, hija de Ana.
25These are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
26Y estos fueron los hijos de Disón: Hemdán, Eshbán, Ithram, y Cherán.
26These are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.
27Y estos fueron los hijos de Ezer: Bilhán, Zaaván, y Acán.
27These are the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan.
28Estos fueron los hijos de Disán: Huz, y Arán.
28These are the sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
29Y estos fueron los duques de los Horeos: el duque Lotán, el duque Sobal, el duque Zibeón, el duque Ana,
29These are the chiefs of the Horites: Chiefs Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
30El duque Disón, el duque Ezer, el duque Disán: estos fueron los duques de los Horeos: por sus ducados en la tierra de Seir.
30Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. They are the chiefs of the Horites, according to their divisions in the land of Seir.
31Y los reyes que reinaron en la tierra de Edom, antes que reinase rey sobre los hijos de Israel, fueron estos:
31These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the Israelites:
32Bela, hijo de Beor, reinó en Edom: y el nombre de su ciudad fué Dinaba.
32Bela son of Beor reigned in Edom; the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33Y murió Bela, y reinó en su lugar Jobab, hijo de Zera, de Bosra.
33When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.
34Y murió Jobab, y en su lugar reinó Husam, de tierra de Temán.
34When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
35Y murió Husam, y reinó en su lugar Adad, hijo de Badad, el que hirió á Midián en el campo de Moab: y el nombre de su ciudad fué Avith.
35When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.
36Y murió Adad, y en su lugar reinó Samla, de Masreca.
36When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.
37Y murió Samla, y reinó en su lugar Saúl, de Rehoboth del Río.
37When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the Euphrates reigned in his place.
38Y murió Saúl, y en lugar suyo reinó Baalanán, hijo de Achbor.
38When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.
39Y murió Baalanán, hijo de Achbor, y reinó Adar en lugar suyo: y el nombre de su ciudad fué Pau; y el nombre de su mujer Meetabel, hija de Matred, hija de Mezaab.
39When Baal-hanan son of Achbor died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
40Estos, pues, son los nombres de los duques de Esaú por sus linajes, por sus lugares, y sus nombres: el duque Timna, el duque Alva, el duque Jetheth,
40These are the names of Esau’s chiefs, according to their families and regions, by their names: Chiefs Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
41El duque Aholibama, el duque Ela, el duque Pinón,
41Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
42El duque Cenaz, el duque Temán, el duque Mibzar,
42Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
43El duque Magdiel, y el duque Hiram. Estos fueron los duques de Edom por sus habitaciones en la tierra de su posesión. Edom es el mismo Esaú, padre de los Idumeos.
43Magdiel, and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they possessed. Esau was the father of the Edomites.
