1Кувынтул пе каре л-а спус пророкул Иеремия кэтре Барук, фиул луй Нерия, кынд а скрис ынтр-о карте кувинтеле ачестя, дупэ спуселе луй Иеремия, ын ал патруля ан ал луй Иоиаким, фиул луй Иосия, ымпэратул луй Иуда, сунэ астфел:
1The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying:
2„Аша ворбеште Домнул Думнезеул луй Исраел деспре тине, Барук:
2'Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning thee, O Baruch: Thou didst say:
3‘Ту зичь: «Вай де мине! Кэч Домнул а адус ынтристаре песте дуреря мя; ымь слееск путериле суспинынд ши ну гэсеск одихнэ!»’
3Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.
4Спуне-й: ‘Аша ворбеште Домнул: «Ятэ кэ че ам зидит вой дэрыма; че ам сэдит вой смулӂе, ши ануме цара ачаста.
4Thus shalt thou say unto him: Thus saith the LORD: Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.
5Ши ту умбли дупэ лукрурь марь? Ну умбла дупэ еле! Кэч ятэ, вой адуче ненорочиря песте орьче фэптурэ», зиче Домнул, «дар цие ыць вой да ка прадэ де рэзбой вяца та ын тоате локуриле унде вей мерӂе.»’”
5And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not; for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD; but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.'
