1ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ အထံ တော်က နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်သည် ယေရမိ သို့ ရောက် လာ၍၊ သင်သည် ဗိမာန် တော် တံခါး ဝ၌ ရပ် လျက် ကြွေးကြော် ရမည့်စကား ဟူမူကား ၊
1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying:
2ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကိုးကွယ် ခြင်းငှါ ၊ ဤ တံခါး တို့ အတွင်းသို့ ဝင် သောယုဒ အမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်ကို နားထောင် ကြလော့။
2Stand in the gate of the LORD'S house, and proclaim there this word, and say: Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
3ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရား သခင်၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား ၊ သင် တို့ဘာသာ ဓလေ့နှင့် သင် တို့အကျင့် များတို့ကို ပြုပြင် ကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် သင် တို့ကို ဤ အရပ် ၌ ငါနေ စေမည်။
3Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
4ဤသည်ကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ဗိမာန် တော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ဗိမာန် တော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ဗိမာန် တော်ဖြစ်သတည်းဟု မုသာ စကား ကို ပြော သောသူတို့၌ မ မှီဝဲ ကြနှင့်။
4Trust ye not in lying words, saying: 'The temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, are these.'
5သင် တို့ဘာသာ ဓလေ့နှင့် သင် တို့အကျင့် များ တို့ကို စုံလင်စွာ ပြုပြင် လျှင် ၎င်း ၊ အမှုသည်ချင်း တို့ကို သေချာစွာ တရား သဖြင့် စီရင် လျှင် ၎င်း ၊
5Nay, but if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbour;
6ဧည့်သည် အာဂန္တု၊ မိဘ မရှိသောသူငယ်၊ မုတ်ဆိုးမ ကို မ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ၊ အပြစ် မရှိသောသူ၏ အသက် ကိုဤ အရပ် ၌ မ သတ် ၊ ကိုယ် အကျိုးကို ဖျက် ၍ အခြား တပါးသော ဘုရား တို့ကို မ ချဉ်းကပ် ဘဲ နေလျှင်၎င်း ၊
6if ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt;
7သင် တို့ဘိုးဘေး တို့အား ၊ ငါသည် အစဉ် မပြတ်ပေး သော ပြည် တည်းဟူသောဤ အရပ် ဌာန၌ သင် တို့ကို ငါနေ စေမည်။
7then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
8အကျိုး မ ရှိဘဲ မုသာ စကား ကို ပြောသောသူတို့၌ သင် တို့သည် ခိုလှုံ ကြ၏။
8Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
9သင်တို့သည် သူ့ဥစ္စာကိုခိုး လျက်၊ လူအသက်ကိုသတ် လျက် ၊ သူ့မယားကိုပြစ်မှား လျက် ၊ မဟုတ် မမှန်ဘဲ ကျိန်ဆို လျက် ၊ ဗာလ ဘုရားရှေ့ ၌ နံ့သာ ပေါင်းကို မီးရှို့လျက် ၊ ကိုယ်မ သိ ဘူးသော အခြား တပါးသော ဘုရား တို့ နောက် သို့လိုက် လျက်နှင့်၊
9Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and offer unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye have not known,
10ငါ ၏နာမ ဖြင့် သမုတ် သော ဤ အိမ် တော်၌ ၊ ငါ့ ရှေ့ မှာဝင် ၍ ရပ် လျက်၊ ဤ ရွံရှာ ဘွယ်သော အမှု အလုံးစုံ တို့ကို ပြု သောကြောင့် ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကယ်နှုတ် တော်မူခြင်း ကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုခံရပါပြီဟု လျှောက် ရကြမည် လော။
10and come and stand before Me in this house, whereupon My name is called, and say: 'We are delivered', that ye may do all these abominations?
11ငါ ၏နာမ ဖြင့် သမုတ် သော ဤ အိမ် တော်ကို၊ သင်တို့သည် ထားပြ တွင်း ကဲ့သို့ထင် ကြသလော။ ဤအမှုကို ငါ့ ကိုယ်တိုင်မြင် ပြီဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
11Is this house, whereupon My name is called, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it, saith the LORD.
12ရှေ့ဦး စွာငါ ၏ နာမ ကို ငါတည် စေသောအရပ် ၊ ရှိလော ရွာ၌ ရှိသော ငါ့ အရပ် ဌာနသို့ သွား ၍ ၊ ငါ ၏အမျိုး ဣသရေလ လူတို့၏ အပြစ် ကြောင့် ၊ ထို အရပ်ကို အဘယ် သို့ငါပြု ဘူးသည်ကို ကြည့်ရှု ကြလော့။
12For go ye now unto My place which was in Shiloh, where I caused My name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of My people Israel.
13ယခု တွင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင် တို့သည် ဤ အမှု အလုံးစုံ တို့ကို ပြု သောကြောင့် ၎င်း ၊ ငါသည်စောစော ထ၍ အထပ်ထပ်ပြော သော်လည်း ၊ သင်တို့သည် နား မ ထောင်၊ ငါခေါ် ၍ သင်တို့သည် မ ထူး သောကြောင့်၎င်း ၊
13And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spoke unto you, speaking betimes and often, but ye heard not, and I called you, but ye answered not;
14ရှိလော ရွာကို ငါပြု သကဲ့သို့ ၊ ငါ ၏နာမ ဖြင့် သမုတ် သော ၊ သင် တို့ခိုလှုံ သော ဤအိမ် တော်၊ သင် တို့နှင့် ဘိုးဘေး တို့အား ငါပေး သော အရပ် ဌာနကို ငါပြု မည်။
14therefore will I do unto the house, whereupon My name is called, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
15သင် တို့ညီအစ်ကို ဧဖရိမ် အမျိုးသား ရှိသမျှ တို့ကို ငါနှင်ထုတ် သကဲ့သို့ ၊ သင် တို့ကို ငါ့ ထံ မှ ငါနှင်ထုတ် မည်။
15And I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
16သင် သည်လည်း ဤ လူမျိုး အဘို့ ပဌနာ မ ပြုနှင့်။ သူ တို့အဘို့ အော်ဟစ် ခြင်း၊ ဆုတောင်း ခြင်းကို မ ပြု နှင့်။ ငါ့ ကို မ သွေးဆောင် နှင့်။ သင် ၏ စကားကို ငါ နား မ ထောင်။
16Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to Me; for I will not hear thee.
17သူ တို့သည် ယုဒ မြို့ များ၊ ယေရုရှလင် လမ်း များ တို့၌ ပြု ကြသော အမှုကို မ မြင် သလော။
17Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18ငါ့ ကို နှောင့်ရှက် မည်အကြံ နှင့်၊ ကောင်းကင် မိဖုရား အဘို့ မုန့် ပြားတို့ကို လုပ် ၍ ၊ အခြား တပါးသော ဘုရား တို့ရှေ့ မှာ သွန်းလောင်း ရာ ပူဇော် သက္ကာကိုပြုခြင်းငှါ၊ သား တို့သည် ထင်း ခွေ ကြ၏။ အဘ တို့သည် မီး ထည့် ကြ၏။ မိန်းမ တို့သည် မုန့် နယ် ကြ၏။
18The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke Me.
19ထိုသို့ပြု၍ ငါ့ ကိုနှောင့်ရှက်ကြသလော။ မိမိ တို့ မျက်နှာ ကို ဖျက် မည်အကြောင်း ၊ မိမိ တို့ကိုယ်ကိုသာ နှောင့်ရှက် ကြသည်မ ဟုတ်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူ ၏။
19Do they provoke Me? saith the LORD; do they not provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?
20သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည် ကား ၊ ဤ အရပ် ၌ ရှိသောလူ ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန် ၊ သစ်ပင် ၊ မြေ အသီးအနှံ အပေါ် မှာ ငါ သည် ဒေါသ အမျက် မီးကို သွန်းလောင်း ၍၊ ထိုမီးသည် မ ငြိမ်း ဘဲလောင် လိမ့်မည်။
20Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, Mine anger and My fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the land; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
21ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရား သခင်၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား ၊ သင် တို့မီးရှို့ ရာ ယဇ်များကို အခြားသော ယဇ် များနှင့် အတူ ထား၍ ၊ အမဲသား ကိုစား ကြလော့။
21Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt-offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat ye flesh.
22အကြောင်း မူကား၊ သင် တို့ဘိုးဘေး များကို အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည် မှ ငါ နှုတ် ဆောင်သောအခါ ၊ မီးရှို့ ရာယဇ် အစ ရှိသောယဇ် များအတွက် သူ တို့ကို ငါမှာ ထားသည် မ ဟုတ်။
22For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt-offerings or sacrifices;
23ငါမှာ ထားသောအရာ ဟူမူကား ၊ ငါ့ စကား ကို နားထောင် ကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် ၊ ငါသည်သင် တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင် ဖြစ် မည်။ သင် တို့သည်လည်း ၊ ငါ ၏ လူမျိုး ဖြစ် ကြ လိမ့်မည်။ သင် တို့သည် ကိုယ်အကျိုး ကို စောင့်လိုသောငှါ ၊ ငါစီရင်သမျှ သော တရားလမ်း သို့ လိုက် ရကြမည်ဟု မှာ ထား၏။
23but this thing I commanded them, saying: 'Hearken unto My voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be My people; and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.'
24သို့ရာတွင် ၊ သူတို့သည် နား မ ထောင်၊ နား ကို မ လှည့် ဘဲ ဆိုးညစ် သော နှလုံး ခိုင်မာ သည်နှင့်အညီကျင့်ကြံ ပြုမူ ၍ မျက်နှာ မ ပြု ၊ ကျော ခိုင်းလျက် နေကြ၏။
24But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in their own counsels, even in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward,
25သင် တို့အဘ များသည် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည် က ထွက် သွား သော နေ့ မှစ၍ ယနေ့ တိုင်အောင် ၊ ငါသည် နေ့ တိုင်း စောစော ထ၍ ၊ ငါ ၏ကျွန် ပရောဖက် အပေါင်း တို့ကို သင် တို့ရှိရာသို့ အထပ်ထပ်စေလွှတ် သော်လည်း ၊
25even since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day; and though I have sent unto you all My servants the prophets, sending them daily betimes and often,
26သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ စကားကို နား မ ထောင်၊ မ နာ မယူဘဲနေ၍ မိမိ တို့ လည်ပင်း ကို ခိုင်မာ စေသဖြင့်၊ အဘ များထက် သာ၍ဆိုးသွမ်း ကြ၏။
26yet they hearkened not unto Me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff; they did worse than their fathers.
27သင်သည် ဤ စကား အလုံးစုံ ကို သူ တို့အား ပြော သော်လည်း ၊ သူတို့သည် နား မ ထောင်ကြ။ ခေါ် သော်လည်း မ ထူး ကြ။
27And thou shalt speak all these words unto them, but they will not hearken to thee; thou shalt also call unto them, but they will not answer thee.
28သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်ကလည်း၊ ဤ လူမျိုး သည် မိမိ တို့ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ၏စကား တော်ကို နား မ ထောင်၊ ဆုံးမ ၍ မ နိုင် သောအမျိုး ဖြစ်၏။ သစ္စာစကား ကိုမပြော၊ သစ္စာ ပျက် သော အမျိုးဖြစ်သည်ဟု သူ တို့အား ပြော ဆိုရမည်။
28Therefore thou shalt say unto them: This is the nation that hath not hearkened to the voice of the LORD their God, nor received correction; faithfulness is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
29သင် ၏သစ္စာဆံပင် ကိုရိတ် ၍ ပစ် လိုက်လော့။ မြင့် သောအရပ်၌ မြည်တမ်း ခြင်းကို ပြု လော့။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် မိမိလူမျိုးကို ပယ် တော်မူပြီ။ အမျက် တော်သင့်ရောက်သော အမျိုး ကို စွန့်ပစ် တော်မူပြီ။
29Cut off thy hair, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on the high hills; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of His wrath.
30ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ယုဒ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် ငါ့ ရှေ့ မှာဆိုး သော အမှုကိုပြု ကြပြီ။ ငါ ၏နာမ ဖြင့် သမုတ် သော အိမ် တော်ကို ညစ်ညူး စေခြင်းငှါ ၊ ရွံရှာဘွယ် သောအရာတို့ကို သွင်း ထားကြပြီ။
30For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in My sight, saith the LORD; they have set their detestable things in the house whereon My name is called, to defile it.
31ငါမ မှာ ထား၊ ငါ အလျှင်းအလို မ ရှိသော်လည်း ၊ သူ တို့သား သမီး များကို မီးရှို့ ခြင်းငှါ ဟိန္နုံ သား၏ချိုင့်၌ ရှိသော တောဖက် ကုန်း တို့ကို တည် ကြပြီ။
31And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded not, neither came it into My mind.
32သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ထိုချိုင့်ကို တောဖက် ချိုင့်ဟူ၍မ ခေါ် ၊ ဟိန္နုံ သား၏ ချိုင့် ဟူ၍မခေါ်၊ ကွပ်မျက် ရာ ချိုင့် ဟူ၍ခေါ်ရသောအချိန် ကာလ ရောက် လိမ့်မည်။ တောဖက် ၌ မြေ လွတ်မ ရှိသည် တိုင်အောင် သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ကြလိမ့်မည်။
32Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Topheth, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter; for they shall bury in Topheth, for lack of room.
33ဤ လူမျိုး အသေ ကောင်တို့သည် မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင် ငှက် နှင့် တော သားရဲ စားစရာ ဘို့ ဖြစ် ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုတိရစ္ဆာန်တို့ကို အဘယ်သူ မျှမမောင်း ရ။
33And the carcasses of this people shall be food for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall frighten them away.
34ယုဒ မြို့ များ၊ ယေရုရှလင် လမ်း များတို့၌ ဝမ်းမြောက် သောအသံ ၊ ရွှင်လန်း သောအသံ ၊ မင်္ဂလာဆောင်သတို့သား အသံ နှင့် မင်္ဂလာဆောင်သတို့သမီး အသံ ကိုငါစဲ စေမည်။ တပြည် လုံးသည် လူဆိတ်ညံ ရာအရပ်ဖြစ် လိမ့်မည် ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
34Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land shall be desolate.
