1တဖန် အာဗြဟံ သည်၊ ကေတုရ အမည် ရှိသောမိန်းမ နှင့် စုံဘက် ၍၊
1And Abraham married another wife, named Cetura:
2ထိုမိန်းမ သည် ဇိမရံ ၊ ယုတ်ရှန် ၊ မေဒန် ၊ မိဒျန် ၊ ဣရှဗက် ၊ ရှုအာ တို့ကို ဘွားမြင် လေ၏။
2Who bore him Zamran, and Jecsan, and Madan, and Madian, and Jesboc, and Sue.
3ယုတ်ရှန် သား ကား ၊ ရှေဘ နှင့် ဒေဒန် တည်း။ ဒေဒန် သား ကား ၊ အာရှုရိမ် လူ၊ လေတုရှိမ် လူ၊ လုမ်မိမ် လူတည်း။
3Jecsan also begot Saba and Dadan. The children of Dadan were Assurim, and Latusim, and Loomin.
4မိဒျိန် သား ကား ၊ ဧဖါ ၊ ဧဖေရ ၊ ဟာနုတ် ၊ အဘိဒ ၊ ဧလဒါ တည်း။ ထို သူအပေါင်း တို့ကား ကေတုရ အနွယ် ဖြစ်ကြသတည်း။
4But of Madian was born Epha, and Opher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaa: all these were the children of Cetura.
5အာဗြဟံ သည်၊ မိမိ ဥစ္စာရှိသမျှ ကို ဣဇာက် အား ပေး လေ၏။
5And Abraham gave all his possessions to Isaac.
6မယားငယ် တို့၌ ရသောသား တို့အား လည်း ၊ မိမိ အသက် ရှင်စဉ်တွင်ဆုလပ် များကိုဝေပေး ၍ ၊ သား ဣဇာတ် ထံမှ အရှေ့ ပြည် သို့ လွှတ် လိုက်လေ၏။
6And to the children of the concubines he gave gifts, and separated them from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, to the east country.
7ထိုနောက် အာဗြဟံ သည် အသက် ကြီးရင့်၍ ၊ အိုမင်း ခြင်း၊ နေ့ရက် ကာလပြည့်စုံ ခြင်းနှင့်တကွ ၊ အသက် ပေါင်း တရာ ခုနစ် ဆယ်ငါး နှစ် ရှိသော်၊
7And the days of Abraham’s life were a hundred and seventy-five years.
8အသက်ချုပ် ၍ အနိစ္စ ဖြစ်သဖြင့် ၊ မိမိ လူမျိုး စည်းဝေး ရာသို့ ရောက်လေ၏။
8And decaying he died in a good old age, and having lived a long time, and being full of days: and was gathered to his people.
9သား ဣဇာက် နှင့် ဣရှမေလ တို့သည်၊ မံရေ မြို့ ရှေ့မှာ ၊ ဟိတ္တိ အမျိုးသား၊ ဇောရ သား ဧဖရုန် ၏လယ်ပြင် တွင် ၊ မပ္ပေလ မြေတွင်း ၌ အဘကို သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ကြ၏။
9And Isaac and Ismael his sons buried him in the double cave, which was situated in the field of Ephron the son of Seor the Hethite, over against Mambre;
10ဟေသ အမျိုးသား တို့အား အဘိုးပေး၍ အာဗြဟံ ဝယ် သောလယ်ပြင် ၌ ၊ အာဗြဟံ နှင့် မယား စာရာ တို့ကို သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ကြသတည်း။
10Which he had bought of the children of Heth: there was he buried, and Sara his wife.
11အာဗြဟံ သေ သောနောက် ၊ သား ဣဇာက် ကို ဘုရားသခင် ကောင်းကြီး ပေးတော်မူ၏။ ဣဇာက် သည် ဗေရလဟဲရော မြို့မှာ နေ သတည်း။
11And after his death, God blessed Isaac his son, who dwelt by the well named Of the living and seeing.
12စာရာ ၏ကျွန်မ ၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ၊ အမျိုးသားဟာဂရ ဘွားမြင် သော အာဗြဟံ သား ဣရှမေလ ၏ သားစဉ်မြေးဆက် တည်းဟူသော၊
12These are the generations of Ismael the son of Abraham, whom Agar the Egyptian, Sara’s servant, bore unto him:
13မိမိ အမျိုးအနွယ် အလိုက် ၊ ဣရှမေလ သား များအမည် ဟူမူကား ၊ သား အကြီး နဗာယုတ်။ ထိုနောက် ကေဒါ ၊ အာဒဗေလ ၊ မိဗသံ၊
13And these are the names of his children according to their calling and generations. The firstborn of Ismael was Nabajoth, then Cedar, and Adbeel, and Mabsam.
14မိရှမ ၊ ဒုမာ ၊ မာစ ၊
14And Masma, and Duma, and Massa,
15ဟာဒဒ် ၊ တေမ ၊ ယေတုရ ၊ နာဖိရှ ၊ ကေဒမာ တည်းဟူသော၊
15Hadar, and Thema, and Jethur, and Naphis, and Cedma.
16ဣရှမေလ သား တည်း။ ထို သို့အမည် ရှိသောသူ တို့ သည်၊ မိမိ မြို့ ၊ မိမိ ရဲတိုက် အလိုက် ၊ အမျိုးမျိုး သော မင်း ဆယ် နှစ် ပါးဖြစ်သတည်း။
16These are the sons of Ismael: and these are their names by their castles and towns, twelve princes of their tribes.
17ဣရှမေလ သည် အသက် တရာ သုံး ဆယ်ခုနစ် နှစ် ရှိသော်၊ အသက် ချုပ်၍ သေ သဖြင့် ၊ မိမိ လူမျိုး စည်းဝေး ရာသို့ ရောက်လေ၏။
17And the years of Ismael’s life were a hundred and thirty-seven, and decaying he died, and was gathered unto his people.
18သူတို့သည်လည်း၊ အာရှုရိ ပြည်သို့ သွား ရာလမ်း အရှေ့၊ ရှုရ မြို့ တိုင်အောင် နေ ကြ၏။ ထိုသို့ ဣရှမေလ၏ နေရာသည်၊ မိမိ ညီအစ်ကို အပေါင်း အနား ၌ ကျ သတည်း။
18And he dwelt from Hevila as far as Sur, which looketh towards Egypt, to them that go towards the Assyrians. He died in the presence of all his brethren.
19အာဗြဟံ သား ဣဇာက် ၏အဆက်အနွှယ် ဟူမူကား ၊ အာဗြဟံ သား ကား ဣဇာက် တည်း။
19These also are the generations of Isaac the son of Abraham: Abraham begot Isaac:
20ဣဇာက် သည်၊ အသက် လေးဆယ် ရှိ သောအခါ၊ ပါဒနာရံ အရပ်သူ၊ ရှုရိ အမျိုးဗေသွေလ ၏သမီး ၊ ရှုရိ လူ လာဗန် ၏ နှမ ရေဗက္က နှင့် အိမ်ထောင် လေ၏။
20Who when he was forty years old, took to wife Rebecca the daughter of Bathuel the Syrian of Mesopotamia, sister to Laban.
21ဣဇာက် သည်၊ မိမိ မယား ရေဗက္က မြုံ သောကြောင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို တောင်းပန် ၍ ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား နားထောင် တော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ သူ ၏မယား သည် ပဋိသန္ဓေ စွဲယူလေ၏။
21And Isaac besought the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and he heard him, and made Rebecca to conceive.
22ဝမ်းအတွင်း ၌ တည်သောသူငယ် တို့သည်၊ အချင်းချင်းတိုက်ခိုက် ကြ၏။ အမိကလည်း၊ ထိုသို့ ဖြစ်၍ငါ ၌အဘယ် အမှုရောက်ပါလိမ့်မည်နည်းဟု ဆို သဖြင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို မေးလျှောက် ခြင်းငှါ သွား လေ၏။
22But the children struggled in her womb: and she said: If it were to be so with me, what need was there to conceive? And she went to consult the Lord.
23ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ သင် ၏ ဝမ်းအတွင်း ၌ လူမျိုး နှစ် မျိုးရှိ၏။ သင် ၏ဝမ်း ထဲက ခြားနား သော လူစု နှစ် စုကို ဘွားရလိမ့်မည်။ လူ တမျိုးသည် တမျိုး ထက် အားကြီး လိမ့်မည်။ အကြီး သည်အငယ် ၌ ကျွန် ခံရလိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
23And he answering said: Two nations are in thy womb, and two peoples shall be divided out of thy womb, and one people shall overcome the other, and the elder shall serve the younger.
24ဘွား ချိန် စေ့ သောအခါ ၊ သူ ၏ဝမ်း ၌ သား အမွှာ ရှိ သဖြင့်၊
24And when her time was come to be delivered, behold twins were found in her womb.
25အဦး ဘွား သောသားသည်၊ အမွေး ပါသောအဝတ် ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၍ ၊ တကိုယ်လုံး အဆင်းနီ ၏။ သူ့ ကို ဧသော ဟူသောအမည် ဖြင့် မှည့် ကြ၏။
25He that came forth first was red, and hairy like a skin: and his name was called Esau. Immediately the other coming forth, held his brother’s foot in his hand, and therefore he was called Jacob.
26ထိုနောက်မှ သူ့ ညီ သည်၊ အစ်ကိုဧသော ၏ ဖနှောင့် ကို ကိုင် လျက် ဘွား လာ၏။ သူ့ ကိုကား၊ ယာကုပ် အမည် ဖြင့် မှည့် ကြ၏။ ထို သားနှစ်ယောက်ကို ဘွား သောအခါ ၊ ဣဇာက် သည် အသက် ခြောက် ဆယ်ရှိသတည်း။
26Isaac was threescore years old when the children were born unto him.
27သူငယ် တို့သည် ကြီးပွား ၍ ၊ ဧသော ကား လိမ္မာ သော တော သား မုဆိုး ဖြစ် လေ၏။ ယာကုပ် ကားတဲ ၌ နေ တတ်၍ စိတ်ကောင်း သောသူ ဖြစ်၏။
27And when they were grown up, Esau became a skillful hunter, and a husbandman, but Jacob a plain man dwelt in tents.
28ဣဇာက် သည်၊ ဧသော ပေးသောအမဲသား ကို စားလေ့ရှိသောကြောင့် သူ့ ကိုချစ် ၏။ ရေဗက္က မူကား ယာကုပ် ကို ချစ် ၏။
28Isaac loved Esau, because he ate of his hunting: and Rebecca loved Jacob.
29တနေ့သ၌၊ ယာကုပ် သည် စားစရာကို ချက်ပြုတ်စဉ်တွင် ၊ ဧသော သည် တော မှ လာ ၍ မော သောကြောင့်၊
29And Jacob boiled pottage: to whom Esau, coming faint out of the field,
30ယာကုပ် အား ၊ ထို နီ သောစားစရာနှင့် ငါ့ ကို ကျွေး ပါလော့၊ ငါ မော ပါသည်ဟုဆို လေ၏။ ထိုကြောင့် သူ ၏နာမည် ကို ဧဒုံ ဟုတွင် သတည်း။
30Said: Give me of this red pottage, for I am exceeding faint. For which reason his name was called Edom.
31ယာကုပ် ကလည်း ၊ ယနေ့ ပင် သင် ၏သားဦး အရာကို၊ ငါ့ အား ရောင်း ပါဟုဆိုလျှင်၊
31And Jacob said to him: Sell me thy first birthright.
32ဧသော က၊ ငါ သေ လုပြီ။ သားဦး အရာအားဖြင့် အဘယ် အကျိုး ရှိပါလိမ့်မည်နည်းဟုဆို ၏။
32He answered: Lo I die, what will the first birthright avail me?
33ယာကုပ် ကလည်း ၊ ယနေ့ပင် ငါ့ အား ကျိန်ဆို ခြင်းကို ပြုပါဟုဆိုသော် ၊ သူသည်ကျိန်ဆို သဖြင့် ၊ ယာကုပ် အား မိမိ သားဦး အရာကို ရောင်း လေ၏။
33Jacob said: Swear therefore to me. Esau swore to him, and sold his first birthright.
34ထိုအခါ ယာကုပ် သည်၊ မုန့် နှင့် ပဲဟင်း ကို ဧသော အား ပေး သဖြင့်၊ သူသည် စားသောက် ပြီးမှ ထ ၍ သွား လေ ၏။ ထိုသို့ ဧသော သည်၊ မိမိနှင့် ဆိုင်သောသားဦး အရာကို မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုသတည်း။
34And so taking bread and the pottage of lentils, he ate, and drank, and went his way; making little account of having sold his first birthright.
