Ezra 5

Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1In pacl sac mwet palu luo, Haggai ac Zechariah wen natul Iddo, eltal mutawauk in kaskas ke Inen God lun Israel nu sin mwet Jew su muta in Judah ac Jerusalem.
1Now Aggeus the prophet, and Zacharias the son of Addo, prophesied to the Jews that were in Judea and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel.
2Ke Zerubbabel wen natul Shealtiel, ac Joshua wen natul Jehozadak, eltal lohng kas laltal, eltal mutawauk in sifil musai Tempul Jerusalem, ac mwet palu luo ah kasreltal.
2Then rose up Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, and Josue the son of Josedec, and began to build the temple of God in Jerusalem, and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
3Na Governor Tattenai lun acn Roto‐in‐Euphrates, ac Shethar Bozenai, ac mwet pwapa wialos, elos sulaklak tuku nu Jerusalem ac kouyak fahk, “Su sap kowos in musai Tempul se inge ac sang kufwa nu kac?”
3And at the same time came to them Thathanai, who was governor beyond the river, and Stharbuzanai, and their counsellors: and said thus to them: Who hath given you counsel to build this house, and to repair the walls thereof?
4Elos oayapa siyuk inen mukul nukewa su wi musai Tempul sac.
4In answer to which we gave them the names of the men who were the promoters of that building.
5Tusruktu God El tawi na mwet kol lun mwet Jew, ac mwet pwapa Persia elos sulela mu elos ac tia mukuikui kac nwe ke elos sim nu sin Tokosra Fulat Darius ac eis kas sel.
5But the eye of their God was upon the ancients of the Jews, and they could not hinder them. And it was agreed that the matter should be referred to Darius, and then they should give satisfaction concerning that accusation.
6Pa inge kas ma elos supwala nu sel tokosra fulat:
6The copy of the letter that Thathanai governor of the country beyond the river, and Stharbuzanai, and his counsellors the Arphasachites, who dwelt beyond the river, sent to Darius the king.
7“Nu sin Tokosra Fulat Darius, lela tokosrai lom in misla.
7The letter which they sent him, was written thus: To Darius the king all peace.
8“Kut ke kom in etu lah kut som nu in acn Judah ac konauk lah Tempul lun God fulat sifil musaiyuk inge ke eot maspang lulap ac ke sak maspang lulap oakwuki in sinka uh. Arulana oaru oreyen orekma uh, ac fahsr na ku.
8Be it known to the king, that we went to the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which they are building with unpolished stones, and timber is laid in the walls: and this work is carried on diligently, and advanceth in their hands.
9“Kut tuh siyuk sin mwet kol lalos in fahk nu sesr lah su sapkin tuh elos in sifil musai Tempul sac ac sang kufwa nu kac.
9And we asked those ancients, and said to them thus: Who hath given you authority to build this house, and to repair these walls?
10Kut oayapa siyuk selos inen mwet kol orekma uh kut in mau ku pac in akkalemye nu sum.
10We asked also of them their names, that we might give thee notice: and we have written the names of the men that are the chief among them.
11“Elos topuk ac fahk, ‘Kut mwet kulansap lun God lun kusrao ac faclu, ac kut sifil musai Tempul se su nuna musala ac itukyang kufwa nu kac yac puspis somla sin sie tokosra na ku lun Israel.
11And they answered us in these words, saying: We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are building a temple that was built these many years ago, and which a great king of Israel built and set up.
12Tuh ke sripen mwet matu lasr meet ah akkasrkusrakye God lun Kusrao, El fuhlela elos in sruoh sin Tokosra Nebuchadnezzar lun Babylonia, sie sin leum lun Chaldea. Tempul sac tuh kunausyukla, ac utukla mwet uh nu in sruoh Babylonia.
12But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven to wrath, he delivered them into the hands of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon the Chaldean: and he destroyed this house, and carried away the people to Babylon.
13Na in yac se meet ke Tokosra Fulat Cyrus el leumi acn Babylonia, el sapkin tuh Tempul uh in sifil musaiyuk.
13But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon, king Cyrus set forth a decree, that this house of God should be built.
14El sifil folokunla ahlu gold ac silver ke Tempul su Nebuchadnezzar el tuh usla liki Tempul Jerusalem ac filiya in tempul in Babylon. Tokosra Fulat Cyrus el folokonang ma inge nu sin mwet se pangpang Sheshbazzar, su el srisrngiya in governor lun Judah.
14And the vessels also of gold and silver of the temple of God, which Nabuchodonosor had taken out of the temple, that was in Jerusalem, and had brought them to the temple of Babylon, king Cyrus brought out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered to one Sassabasar, whom also he appointed governor,
15Tokosra Fulat el fahkang nu sel elan us ma inge ac folokunla nu in Tempul Jerusalem, oayapa elan sifil musaeak Tempul fin acn se ma tu we meet ah.
15And said to him: Take these vessels, and go, and put them in the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be built in its place.
16Ouinge Sheshbazzar el som ac oakiya pwelung la. Na musa sac tutafla in pacl sac me nwe inge, tusruktu soenna safla.’
16Then came this same Sassabasar, and laid the foundations of the temple of God in Jerusalem, and from that time until now it is in building, and is not yet finished.
17“Inge, O Tokosra Fulat, fin ou lungse lom, sap in sukok in ma simla ke sramsram matu Babylon, tuh in kalem lah pwaye ku sutuu lah Tokosra Fulat Cyrus pa sapkin tuh Tempul se in Jerusalem inge in sifilpa musaiyuk. Na kom fah akkalemye nu sesr lah mea kom nunku mu fal in orek ke sripa se inge.”
17Now therefore if it seem good to the king, let him search in the king’s library, which is in Babylon, whether it hath been decreed by Cyrus the king, that the house of God in Jerusalem should be built, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
