Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
Berean Standard Bible
1Sie fong ah, Tokosra Belshazzar el solani sie tausin mwet leum nu ke kufwa se lal, ac elos tukeni nim wain.
1Later, King Belshazzar held a great feast for a thousand of his nobles, and he drank wine with them.
2Ke elos nimnim ah, Belshazzar el sap in utuku cup ac pol ma orek ke gold ac silver ma Nebuchadnezzar, papa tumal, el tuh usla liki Tempul in Jerusalem. Tokosra el sap utuku ma inge tuh el, mwet wal fulat lal, mutan kial kewa, ac mutan kulansap kial kewa, elos in nimnimkin.
2Under the influence of the wine, Belshazzar gave orders to bring in the gold and silver vessels that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, so that the king could drink from them, along with his nobles, his wives, and his concubines.
3In pacl sacna ahlu ac cup gold uh utuku, ac elos nukewa tukeni nim wain kac
3Thus they brought in the gold vessels that had been taken from the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king drank from them, along with his nobles, his wives, and his concubines.
4ac kaksakin god nukewa lalos ma orekla ke gold, silver, bronze, osra, sak ac oayapa eot.
4As they drank the wine, they praised their gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone.
5In kitin pacl ah na poun mwet se sikyak, ac mutawauk in sim yen ma mosrweyukla ke fasr pesinka in lohm uh, yen ma kalmen lam uh tolak arulana kalem. Ac tokosra el liye ke lac po sac sim ah.
5At that moment the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. As the king watched the hand that was writing,
6El arulana sangeng, oru efla mutal ac intwel rarrarak.
6his face grew pale and his thoughts so alarmed him that his hips gave way and his knees knocked together.
7El wola ac fahk sie mwet in use mwet inutnut, mwet mwenmen, ac mwet lutlut ke ma oan yen engyeng uh. Ke elos tuku, tokosra el fahk nu selos, “Mwet se fin ku in riti ma simla inge ac fahkma kalmac an nu sik, el ac fah nukumyukyang ke nuknuk sroninmutuk lun leum uh, ac wuleang soko ah gold lun mwet wal, ac el ac fah mwet leum se aktolu in tokosrai se inge.”
7The king called out for the enchanters, astrologers, and diviners to be brought in, and he said to these wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this inscription and tells me its interpretation will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around his neck, and he will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”
8Mwet pwapa fulat inkul sin tokosra elos fahsryang nu yorol, tusruktu wangin sie selos ku in riti ma simla uh, ku fahkak kalmac uh nu sin tokosra.
8So all the king’s wise men came in, but they could not read the inscription or interpret it for him.
9Na fosrnga lal Tokosra Belshazzar oru el efla yohk liki meet ah, ac mwet lal su wal fulat elos nukanla ma elos in oru.
9Then King Belshazzar became even more terrified, his face grew even more pale, and his nobles were bewildered.
10Na Kasra, nina kial tokosra, el lohngak wowon lal tokosra ac mwet wal fulat lal, na el utyak nu yen kufwa uh orek we. El fahk, “Lela in loes moul lun tokosra! Nimet kom arulana fohsak ac efla angan.
10Hearing the outcry of the king and his nobles, the queen entered the banquet hall. “O king, may you live forever!” she said. “Do not let your thoughts terrify you, or your face grow pale.
11Oasr sie mwet in tokosrai lom uh su ngunin god mutal uh oan in el. Ke papa tomom el tuh tokosra, mwet se inge el akkalemye lah el lalkung ac lalmwetmet, ac yohk etauk lal oana etu lun god uh. Ac Tokosra Nebuchadnezzar, papa tomom, el akleumyal fin mwet susfa, mwet inutnut, mwet mwenmen, ac mwet lutlut ke ma oan yen engyeng uh nukewa.
11There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods in him. In the days of your father he was found to have insight, intelligence, and wisdom like that of the gods. Your father, King Nebuchadnezzar, appointed him chief of the magicians, enchanters, astrologers, and diviners. Your own father, the king,
12Oasr kain in ku se yorol ma sesa yurin mwet uh, ac el lalmwetmet ac usrnguk in aketeya mweme. El ku pac in akkalemye kas in pupulyuk ac aketeya ma lukma. Ke ma inge kom sapla ac solama mwet se inge, Daniel, su tokosra el tuh sang inel Belteshazzar, ac el ac fah fahkot kalmen ma inge nukewa nu sum.”
12did this because Daniel, the one he named Belteshazzar, was found to have an extraordinary spirit, as well as knowledge, understanding, and the ability to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve difficult problems. Summon Daniel, therefore, and he will give you the interpretation.”
13In pacl sacna, utuku Daniel nu ye mutal tokosra, ac tokosra el siyuk sel, “Ya kom pa Daniel se inmasrlon mwet Jew ma tokosra, papa tumuk, el tuh use Judah me nu in sruoh ah?
13So Daniel was brought before the king, who asked him, “Are you Daniel, one of the exiles my father the king brought from Judah?
14Nga lohng mu ngunin god mutal uh wi kom, ac lah kom usrnguk, lalmwetmet, ac oasr pac etauk lom.
14I have heard that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that you have insight, intelligence, and extraordinary wisdom.
15Utuku mwet kasru ac mwet inutnut uh elos in tuh riti ma simla inge ac fahkma kalmac uh nu sik, tusruktu elos tia ku in konauk kalmac uh.
15Now the wise men and enchanters were brought before me to read this inscription and interpret it for me, but they could not give its interpretation.
16Ac oasr pac lohngya sik mu kom ku in konauk kalmen kas in pupulyuk, ac aketeya ma lukma uh. Kom fin ku in riti ma se simla inge, ac fahkma kalmac uh nu sik, ac fah nukumyukyang kom ke nuknuk sroninmutuk lun mwet leum, ac kom fah wuleang soko ah gold, ac kom ac fah mwet leum se aktolu in tokosrai se inge.”
16But I have heard about you, that you are able to give interpretations and solve difficult problems. Therefore, if you can read this inscription and give me its interpretation, you will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around your neck, and you will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”
17Ac Daniel el topkol ac fahk, “Sruokyana mwe kite lom an, ku sang lun sie pacna mwet. Tusruktu nga ac fah riti nu sin tokosra ma simla uh, ac akkalemye kalmac uh.
17In response, Daniel said to the king, “You may keep your gifts for yourself and give your rewards to someone else. Nevertheless, I will read the inscription for the king and interpret it for him.
18“God Fulatlana El oru tuh papa tomom, Nebuchadnezzar, elan sie tokosra na pwengpeng, ac sang ku ac wal fulat nu sel.
18As for you, O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar sovereignty and greatness, glory and honor.
19Yoklana pwengpeng lal, pwanang mutanfahl nukewa ac kain in kas nukewa elos sangeng ac rarrar sel. El fin lungse uniya sie mwet, na el uniya na; ac el fin lungse mwet se in moulna, el lela in moul. El ac akfulatye, ku aklusrongtenye, kutena mwet oanalungse lal.
19Because of the greatness that He bestowed on him, the people of every nation and language trembled in fear before him. He killed whom he wished and kept alive whom he wished; he exalted whom he wished and humbled whom he wished.
20Ke sripen fulatak nankal ac likkeke lal, ac sulallal orekma lal nu sin mwet uh, na sisila el liki nien muta fulat lal, ac tila akfulatyeyuk el.
20But when his heart became arrogant and his spirit was hardened with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne, and his glory was taken from him.
21Lisyukla el liki inmasrlon mwet uh, ac nunak lal tuh ekla oana nunak lun kosro uh. El tuh muta yurin donkey lemnak, mongo mah oana soko ox, ac motul na inima uh, ac wangin ma afinilya liki aunfong uh. Tok, el akilenak lah pwaye, God Fulatlana El nununku tokosrai nukewa lun mwet uh, ac El ku in eisalosyang nu sin kutena mwet su El lungse sang nu se.
21He was driven away from mankind, and his mind was like that of a beast. He lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like an ox, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until he acknowledged that the Most High God rules over the kingdom of mankind, setting over it whom He wishes.
22“Ac kom, su ma natul, kom ne etu ma inge nukewa a kom tiana akpusiselye nunak lom.
22But you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this.
23Kom orekma lain Leum God inkusrao, ac orekmakin cup ac pol ma utuku liki Tempul lal. Kom, ac mwet wal fulat lom, mutan kiom kewa ac mutan kulansap kiom nukewa nim wain kac, ac kaksakin god lowos ma orekla ke gold, silver, bronze, osra, sak ac eot — god inge su tia ku in liye ku lohng, ac tia etu kutena ma. Ac kom tiana akfulatye God su ac ku in wotela lah kom ac misa ku moulna, ac su nununku ma nukewa kom oru uh.
23Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. The vessels from His house were brought to you, and as you drank wine from them with your nobles, wives, and concubines, you praised your gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you have failed to glorify the God who holds in His hand your very breath and all your ways.
24Pa ingan sripa se oru God El supwama lac po sac in tuku simusla kas inge uh.
24Therefore He sent the hand that wrote the inscription.
25“Pa inge kas ma simla uh: “MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.”
25Now this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.
26Ac pa inge kalmac uh: “MENE pa OAKLA — God El oakla pisen len lula ke tokosrai lom uh, na ac safla pa inge.
26And this is the interpretation of the message: MENE means that God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.
27“TEKEL pa PAUNIYA — pauniyuki kom tari ke mwe paun uh, ac koneyukyak tuh na kom sufalla.
27TEKEL means that you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.
28“PARSIN pa KITALIK — tokosrai lom uh kitakatelik ac itukyang nu sin mwet Mede ac mwet Persia.”
28PERES means that your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians.”
29In pacl sacna Belshazzar el sap mwet kulansap lal in nokmulang Daniel ke nuknuk sroninmutuk lun mwet leum, ac in sripisrya soko ah gold ke kwawal. Na el sang in el pa mwet leum aktolu in tokosrai uh.
29Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel in purple, placed a gold chain around his neck, and proclaimed him the third highest ruler in the kingdom.
30In fong sacna, Belshazzar, tokosra lun Babylonia, el anwuki,
30That very night Belshazzar king of the Chaldeans was slain,
31ac Darius mwet Mede, su yac onngoul luo matwal in pacl sac, el eisla tokosrai sac.
31and Darius the Mede received the kingdom at the age of sixty-two.
