King James Version with ApocryphaTranslation
King James Version with Apocrypha
Tongan Bible, Revised West Version
1Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
1Ka naʻe fai pe ʻe Siope ʻene lea mamafa, ʻo ne pehē,
2As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;
2“ʻI he moʻui ʻae ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku ne taʻefiefakamaauʻi au; mo e Māfimafi, kuo ne fakamamahiʻi hoku laumālie;
3All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
3Lolotonga ʻoku ʻiate au ʻeku mānava, pea ʻi hoku avaʻi ihu ʻae mānava ʻae ʻOtua;
4My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
4ʻE ʻikai lea ʻaki ʻae angahala ʻe hoku loungutu, pe lea ʻaki ʻae kākā ʻe hoku ʻelelo.
5God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
5ʻE ʻikai ʻaupito te u fakatonuhiaʻi ʻakimoutolu: te u mate pē ka ʻe ʻikai te u tukuange ʻeku angatonu meiate au.
6My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
6ʻOku ou kuku maʻu ʻeku māʻoniʻoni, ʻe ʻikai te u tukuange ia: ʻe ʻikai valokiʻi au ʻe hoku loto ʻi heʻeku moʻui ni.
7Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
7“Tuku ke tatau hoku fili mo e angahala, mo ia ʻoku angatuʻu kiate au ke tatau mo e taʻemāʻoniʻoni.
8For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?
8He neongo ʻene maʻumeʻa, ko e hā ʻae ʻamanaki ʻoe mālualoi, ʻoka toʻo atu ʻe he ʻOtua hono laumālie?
9Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
9ʻE ongoʻi ʻe he ʻOtua ʻa ʻene tangi ʻoka hoko ʻae mamahi kiate ia?
10Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
10He te ne fakafiefiaʻi ia ʻi he Māfimafi? ʻE ui maʻuaipē ʻe ia ki he ʻOtua?
11I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
11Te u akonekina ʻakimoutolu ʻaki ʻae nima ʻoe ʻOtua: ʻe ʻikai te u fufū ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he Māfimafi.
12Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
12“Vakai, kuo mamata ki ai ʻakimoutolu kotoa pē; pea ko e hā ʻoku mou launoa pehē ai fau?
13This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
13Ko eni ʻae ʻinasi ʻoe tangata fai kovi mei he ʻOtua, mo e tofiʻa ʻe maʻu ʻe he kau fakamālohi mei he Māfimafi.
14If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
14Kapau ʻe fakatokolahiʻi ʻene fānau, ko e meʻa ia ki he heletā: pea ʻe ʻikai mākona ʻi he mā ʻa hono hako.
15Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
15Ko kinautolu ʻoku toe ʻiate ia, ʻe tanu ʻi he mate: pea ʻe ʻikai tangi ʻa hono ngaahi uaifi.
16Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
16Neongo ʻene fokotuʻu siliva ʻo hangē ko e efu, pea teuteu ʻae ngaahi kofu ʻo hangē ko e ʻumea;
17He may prepare it , but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
17ʻE teuteu pe ʻe ia, ka ʻe ʻai ia ʻe he angatonu, pea ʻe vahevahe ʻae siliva ʻe he taʻeangahala.
18He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.
18ʻOku langa ʻe ia hono fale ʻo hangē ko e ʻunufe, pea hangē ko e fale leʻo ʻoku langa hake ʻe he leʻo.
19The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
19ʻE tokoto hifo ʻae tangata koloaʻia, ka ʻe ʻikai tānaki ia: ʻoku ne fakaʻā hono mata, pea ne ʻikai leva.
20Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
20ʻOku lōmekina ia ʻi he ilifia ʻo hangē ha vai, ʻoku kaihaʻasi ia ʻe he afā ʻi he pō.
21The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
21ʻOku ʻave ia ʻe he matangi hahake, pea ʻoku mole atu ia: pea hangē ko e afā ʻoku fakapuna ia mei hono potu.
22For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
22ʻE haʻaki ia kiate ia ʻo ʻikai taʻofi, ʻoku holi ia ke hao atu mei hono mālohi.
23Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
23Ka ʻe pasipasi ʻe ia hono nima kiate ia, ʻo seseʻe ia mei hono potu.
