1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
1Ибо знаем, что, когда земной наш дом, эта хижина, разрушится, мы имеем от Бога жилище на небесах, дом нерукотворенный, вечный.
2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
2Оттого мы и воздыхаем, желая облечься в небесное наше жилище;
3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
3только бы нам и одетым не оказаться нагими.
4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
4Ибо мы, находясь в этой хижине, воздыхаем под бременем, потому что не хотим совлечься, но облечься, чтобы смертное поглощено было жизнью.
5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
5На сие самое и создал нас Бог и дал нам залог Духа.
6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
6Итак мы всегда благодушествуем; и как знаем, что, водворяясь в теле, мы устранены от Господа -
7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
7ибо мы ходим верою, а не видением, -
8We are confident, I say , and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
8то мы благодушествуем и желаем лучше выйти из тела и водвориться у Господа.
9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
9И потому ревностно стараемся, водворяясь ли, выходя ли, быть Ему угодными;
10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
10ибо всем нам должно явиться пред судилище Христово, чтобы каждому получить соответственно тому, что он делал, живя в теле, доброе или худое.
11Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
11Итак, зная страх Господень, мы вразумляем людей, Богу же мы открыты; надеюсь, что открыты и вашим совестям.
12For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
12Не снова представляем себя вам, но даем вам повод хвалиться нами, дабы имели вы что сказать тем, которые хвалятся лицем, а не сердцем.
13For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
13Если мы выходим из себя, то для Бога; если же скромны, то для вас.
14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
14Ибо любовь Христова объемлет нас, рассуждающих так: если один умер за всех, то все умерли.
15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
15А Христос за всех умер, чтобы живущие уже не для себя жили, но для умершего за них и воскресшего.
16Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
16Потому отныне мы никого не знаем по плоти; если же и знали Христа по плоти, то ныне уже не знаем.
17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
17Итак, кто во Христе, тот новая тварь; древнее прошло, теперь все новое.
18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
18Все же от Бога, Иисусом Христом примирившего нас с Собою и давшего нам служение примирения,
19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
19потому что Бог во Христе примирил с Собою мир, не вменяя людям преступлений их, и дал нам слово примирения.
20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
20Итак мы - посланники от имени Христова, и как бы Сам Бог увещевает через нас; от имени Христова просим: примиритесь с Богом.
21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
21Ибо не знавшего греха Он сделал для нас жертвою за грех, чтобы мы в Нем сделались праведными пред Богом.
