1And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him.
1第七年， 耶何耶大 奮勇自強，將百夫長 耶羅罕 的兒子 亞撒利雅 ， 約哈難 的兒子 以實瑪利 ， 俄備得 的兒子 亞撒利雅 ， 亞大雅 的兒子 瑪西雅 ， 細基利 的兒子 以利沙法 召來，與他們立約。
2And they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.
2他們走遍 猶大 ，從 猶大 各城裏招聚 利未 人和 以色列 的眾族長到 耶路撒冷 來。
3And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.
3會眾在上帝殿裏與王立約。 耶何耶大 對他們說：「看哪，王的兒子必當作王，正如耶和華指着 大衛 子孫所應許的話」；
4This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors;
4又說：「你們當這樣行：祭司和 利未 人凡安息日進班的，三分之一要把守各門，
5And a third part shall be at the king’s house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of the LORD .
5三分之一要在王宮，三分之一要在 基址 門；眾百姓要在耶和華殿的院內。
6But let none come into the house of the LORD , save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD .
6除了祭司和供職的 利未 人之外，不准別人進耶和華的殿；惟獨他們可以進去，因為他們聖潔。眾百姓要遵守耶和華所吩咐的。
7And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.
7利未 人要手中各拿兵器，四圍護衛王；凡擅入殿宇的，必當治死。王出入的時候，你們當跟隨他。」
8So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.
8利未 人和 猶大 眾人都照着祭司 耶何耶大 一切所吩咐的去行，各帶所管安息日進班出班的人來，因為祭司 耶何耶大 不許他們下班。
9Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David’s, which were in the house of God.
9祭司 耶何耶大 便將上帝殿裏所藏 大衛 王的槍、盾牌、擋牌交給百夫長，
10And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.
10又分派眾民手中各拿兵器，在壇和殿那裏，從殿右直到殿左，站在王子的四圍；
11Then they brought out the king’s son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king.
11於是領王子出來，給他戴上冠冕，將律法 書交給他 ，立他作王。 耶何耶大 和眾子膏他，眾人說：「願王萬歲！」
12¶ Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD :
12亞她利雅 聽見民奔走讚美王的聲音，就到民那裏，進耶和華的殿，
13And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.
13看見王站在 殿 門的柱旁，百夫長和吹號的人侍立在王左右，國民都歡樂吹號，又有歌唱的，用各樣的樂器領人歌唱讚美； 亞她利雅 就撕裂衣服，喊叫說：「反了！反了！」
14Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD .
14祭司 耶何耶大 帶管轄軍兵的百夫長出來，吩咐他們說：「將她趕到班外，凡跟隨她的必用刀殺死！」因為祭司說：「不可在耶和華殿裏殺她。」
15So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king’s house, they slew her there.
15眾兵就閃開，讓她去；她走到王宮的 馬門 ，便在那裏把她殺了。
16¶ And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the LORD’s people.
16耶何耶大 與眾民和王立約，都要作耶和華的民。
17Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down, and brake his altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
17於是眾民都到 巴力 廟，拆毀了廟，打碎壇和像，又在壇前將 巴力 的祭司 瑪坦 殺了。
18Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD , to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD , as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David.
18耶何耶大 派官看守耶和華的殿，是在祭司 利未 人手下。這祭司 利未 人是 大衛 分派在耶和華殿中、照 摩西 律法上所寫的，給耶和華獻燔祭，又按 大衛 所定的例，歡樂歌唱；
19And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD , that none which was unclean in any thing should enter in.
19且設立守門的把守耶和華殿的各門，無論為何事，不潔淨的人都不准進去。
20And he took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the house of the LORD : and they came through the high gate into the king’s house, and set the king upon the throne of the kingdom.
20又率領百夫長和貴冑，與民間的官長，並國中的眾民，請王從耶和華殿下來，由上門進入王宮，立王坐在國位上。
21And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the city was quiet, after that they had slain Athaliah with the sword.
21國民都歡樂，合城都安靜。眾人已將 亞她利雅 用刀殺了。
