1Then again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and behold a flying roll.
1POI alzai di nuovo gli occhi, e riguardai; ed ecco un rotolo volante.
2And he said unto me: 'What seest thou?' And I answered: 'I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.'
2E l'Angelo mi disse: Che vedi? Ed io dissi: Io veggo un rotolo volante, la cui lunghezza è di venti cubiti, e la larghezza di dieci cubiti.
3Then said he unto me: 'This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole land; for every one that stealeth shall be swept away on the one side like it; and every one that sweareth shall be swept away on the other side like it.
3Ed egli mi disse: Quest' è l'esecrazione, che è uscita fuori sopra la faccia di tutta la terra; perciocchè da un lato, ogni ladro è stato riciso, secondo quella; e dall'altro, ogni uomo che giura falsamente è stato riciso, secondo quella.
4I cause it to go forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by My name; and it shall abide in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.'
4Io l'ho messa fuori, dice il Signor degli eserciti, ed è venuta contro alla casa del ladro, e contro alla casa di chi giura per lo mio Nome falsamente; ed è dimorata in mezzo della sua casa, e l'ha consumata, insieme col suo legname, e le sue pietre.
5Then the angel that spoke with me went forth, and said unto me: 'Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.'
5POI l'Angelo che parlava meco uscì, e mi disse: Deh! alza gli occhi, e riguarda che cosa è questa che esce fuori.
6And I said: 'What is it?' And he said: 'This is the measure that goeth forth.' He said moreover: 'This is their eye in all the land —
6Ed io dissi: Che cosa è? Ed egli disse: Quest' è un moggio, che esce. Poi disse: Quest' è l'occhio loro, che va per tutta la terra.
7and, behold, there was lifted up a round piece of lead — and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the measure.'
7Ed ecco, una massa di piombo fu portata; ed ecco una donna, che sedeva in mezzo del moggio.
8And he said: 'This is Wickedness.' And he cast her down into the midst of the measure, and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
8Ed egli disse: Quest' è l'empietà. Ed egli la gettò in mezzo del moggio; poi gettò la massa del piombo in su la bocca di esso.
9Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came forth two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork; and they lifted up the measure between the earth and the heaven.
9Poi, io alzai gli occhi, e riguardai; ed ecco, due donne uscivano, le quali aveano il vento nelle loro ale; ed aveano delle ale somiglianti alle ale di una cicogna; ed esse levarono il moggio fra cielo e terra.
10Then said I to the angel that spoke with me: 'Whither do these bear the measure?'
10Ed io dissi all'Angelo che parlava meco: Dove portano esse il moggio?
11And he said unto me: 'To build her a house in the land of Shinar; and when it is prepared, she shall be set there in her own place.
11Ed egli mi disse: Nel paese di Sinear per edificargli quivi una casa; e quivi sarà stanziato, e posato sopra la sua base.
