25Naves maris, principes tui in negotiatione tua: et repleta es, et glorificata nimis in corde maris.]
26Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters; the east wind hath broken thee in the heart of the seas.
26[In aquis multis adduxerunt te remiges tui: ventus auster contrivit te in corde maris.
27Thy riches, and thy wares, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the exchangers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

29And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land,
29Et descendent de navibus suis omnes qui tenebant remum: nautæ et universi gubernatores maris in terra stabunt.
30And shall cause their voice to be heard over thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall roll themselves in the ashes;

32And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee: who was there like Tyre, fortified in the midst of the sea?
32Et assument super te carmen lugubre, et plangent te: Quæ est ut Tyrus, quæ obmutuit in medio maris?
33When thy wares came forth out of the seas, thou didst fill many peoples; with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise didst thou enrich the kings of the earth.
33Quæ in exitu negotiationum tuarum de mari implesti populos multos: in multitudine divitiarum tuarum, et populorum tuorum, ditasti reges terræ.
34Now that thou art broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, and thy merchandise and all thy company are fallen in the midst of thee,
34Nunc contrita es a mari: in profundis aquarum opes tuæ, et omnis multitudo tua quæ erat in medio tui, ceciderunt.
35All the inhabitants of the isles are appalled at thee, and their kings are horribly afraid, they are troubled in their countenance;
35Universi habitatores insularum obstupuerunt super te, et reges earum omnes tempestate perculsi mutaverunt vultus.
36The merchants among the peoples hiss at thee; thou art become a terror, and never shalt be any more.'
36Negotiatores populorum sibilaverunt super te: ad nihilum deducta es, et non eris usque in perpetuum.]
