1BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. Kutcaihnah mueihla te Babylon taeng neh, Lebkamai khosa rhoek taengah ka haeng coeng ne.
1This is what the LORD says: “Behold, I will stir up against Babylon and against the people of Leb-kamai the spirit of a destroyer.
2Babylon taengah kholong rhoek neh anih aka vam te ka tueih ni. A yoethae hnin ah tah a khohmuen te a kaepvai ah a om thil vetih a hlaih ni.
2I will send strangers to Babylon to winnow her and empty her land; for they will come against her from every side in her day of disaster.
3A lii aka nuen loh nuen khaw nuen mai saeh lamtah a caempho te khuen saeh. Te vaengah a tongpang rhoek te hnaih kolla a caempuei khaw boeih thup uh saeh.
3Do not let the archer bend his bow or put on his armor. Do not spare her young men; devote all her army to destruction!
4Khalden khohmuen kah rhok neh a kawtpoeng kah a thun rhoek khaw cungku uh ni.
4And they will fall slain in the land of the Chaldeans, and pierced through in her streets.
5Amih kah Pathen caempuei BOEIPA loh Israel neh Judah te a hnong van pawt bangla Israel kah aka cim taeng lamkah moeithennah tah amih khohmuen ah cung coeng.
5For Israel and Judah have not been abandoned by their God, the LORD of Hosts, though their land is full of guilt before the Holy One of Israel.”
6Babylon khui lamloh rhaelrham saeh lamtah hlang loh a hinglu te hlawt saeh. Amih kathaesainah dongah ngam boeh. BOEIPA kah tawnlohnah tue ah tah amah neh a tiing la a taengah a thuung.
6Flee from Babylon! Escape with your lives! Do not be destroyed in her punishment. For this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; He will pay her what she deserves.
7BOEIPA kut kah Babylon sui boengloeng loh diklai pum a rhuihmil sak. A misurtui te namtom loh a ok tih namtom khaw yan uh.
7Babylon was a gold cup in the hand of the LORD, making the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore the nations have gone mad.
8Babylon te buengrhuet cungku vetih bawt ni. Anih ham rhung uh lamtah thingpi loh pa uh lah, a nganboh te a hoeih pah khaming.
8Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been shattered. Wail for her; get her balm for her pain; perhaps she can be healed.
9Babylon te n'toi khaw n'toi dae a hoeih moenih. Anih te hnoo uh lamtah hlang loh amah khohmuen la cet uh saeh. A laitloeknah loh vaan duela a pha tih khomong duela a toh.
9“We tried to heal Babylon, but she could not be healed. Abandon her! Let each of us go to his own land, for her judgment extends to the sky and reaches to the clouds.”
10BOEIPA loh kaimih kah duengnah hang khuen te khuen uh sih lamtah kaimih Pathen BOEIPA kah khoboe te Zion ah doek uh sih.
10“The LORD has brought forth our vindication; come, let us tell in Zion what the LORD our God has accomplished.”
11Thaltang te meet lamtah photling te cung sak uh. BOEIPA loh Madai manghai kah mueihla te a haeng coeng. A thuepnah lamloh BOEIPA kah tawnlohnah neh a bawkim kah tawnlohnah dongah Babylon te phae kuekluek ham om.
11Sharpen the arrows! Fill the quivers! The LORD has aroused the spirit of the kings of the Medes, because His plan is aimed at Babylon to destroy her, for it is the vengeance of the LORD— vengeance for His temple.
12Babylon vongtung te rholik ling thil uh. Thongim te bingbo lamtah rhaltawt hlah uh. Rhongngol te soepsoei uh. Babylon khosa rhoek a voek tih BOEIPA loh a mangtaeng te khaw a saii bal ni.
12Raise a banner against the walls of Babylon; post the guard; station the watchmen; prepare the ambush. For the LORD has both devised and accomplished what He spoke against the people of Babylon.
13A tui aka buem taengah kho aka sa, kho aka sa kah thakvoh he len dae na mueluemnah dong khat te na bawtnah la pawk coeng.
13You who dwell by many waters, rich in treasures, your end has come; the thread of your life is cut.
14Caempuei BOEIPA loh a hinglu neh a toemngam coeng. Hlang te lungang bangla nang kan cung sak kuekluek vetih nang te tamlung neh n'doo uh ni.
14The LORD of Hosts has sworn by Himself: “Surely I will fill you up with men as with locusts, and they will shout in triumph over you.”
15A thadueng lamloh diklai a saii tih a cueihnah loh lunglai a picai. A lungcuei neh vaan a cueh.
15The LORD made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.
16Vaan kah tui len khaw ol a paek tih diklai khobawt lamkah khomong a luei sak. Khotlan ham rhaek a saii tih a thakvoh lamloh khohli hang khuen.
16When He thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He generates the lightning with the rain and brings forth the wind from His storehouses.
17A mingnah lamloh hlang boeih a dom tih mueithuk aka picai boeih khaw yak. A tuisi hong neh amih khuiah mueihla a om moenih.
17Every man is senseless and devoid of knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols. For his molten images are a fraud, and there is no breath in them.
18Akaimih kah a honghi neh a hohap bibi te a cawhnah tue ah paltham bitni.
18They are worthless, a work to be mocked. In the time of their punishment they will perish.
19Jakob kah khoyo tah te bang moenih. A ming khaw caempuei Yahweh tih a cungkuem amah kah rho koca la a hlinsai.
19The Portion of Jacob is not like these, for He is the Maker of all things, and of the tribe of His inheritance— the LORD of Hosts is His name.
20Nang tah ka caemboh neh caemtloek tubael ni. Nang te namtom kan daeh nah vetih nang te ram kam phae nah ni.
20“You are My war club, My weapon for battle. With you I shatter nations; with you I bring kingdoms to ruin.
21Nang te marhang neh a sokah aka ngol te kan daeh nah vetih nang te leng neh a sokah aka ngol te kan daeh nah ni.
21With you I shatter the horse and rider; with you I shatter the chariot and driver.

22With you I shatter man and woman; with you I shatter the old man and the youth; with you I shatter the young man and the maiden.
23Nang te boiva aka dawn neh a tuping khaw kan daeh nah vetih nang te lopho neh a tarhoi kan daeh nah ni. Nang te rhalboei neh ukkung te kan daeh nah ni.
23With you I shatter the shepherd and his flock; with you I shatter the farmer and his oxen; with you I shatter the governors and officials.
24Zion kah namah mikhmuh ah a boethae cungkuem a saii uh te Babylon taeng neh Khalden khosa boeih taengah ka thuung ni. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni.
24Before your very eyes I will repay Babylon and all the dwellers of Chaldea for all the evil they have done in Zion,” declares the LORD.
25Kutcaihnah tlang nang taengah ka pai coeng ne. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni. Diklai boeih aka phae khaw nang taengla ka kut ka thueng ni. Te vaengah thaelpang lamloh nang kam paluet vetih ungkhang tlang la nang kang khueh ni.
25“Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, you who devastate the whole earth, declares the LORD. I will stretch out My hand against you; I will roll you over the cliffs and turn you into a charred mountain.
26Nang lamkah te bangkil lung neh tungkho lung khaw lo uh mahpawh. BOEIPA kah olphong bangla kumhal due khopong la na om ni.
26No one shall retrieve from you a cornerstone or a foundation stone, because you will become desolate forever,” declares the LORD.
27Diklai ah rholik thoh uh lamtah namtom taengah tuki ueng uh. Namtom taengah ciim uh lamtah a ram soah khaw yaak sak uh. Minni Ararat neh Ashkenaz te rhalboei khueh thil lamtah marhang te lungang hathawp bangla yuel sak uh.
27“Raise a banner in the land! Blow the ram’s horn among the nations! Prepare the nations against her. Summon the kingdoms against her— Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz. Appoint a captain against her; bring up horses like swarming locusts.
28Namtom Madai manghai rhoek neh a rhalboei rhoek, a ukkung boeih neh a khohung khohmuen boeih anih taengah ciim uh laeh.
28Prepare the nations for battle against her— the kings of the Medes, their governors and all their officials, and all the lands they rule.
29Khosak pawt hil Babylon khohmuen te imsuep la khueh ham Babylon sokah BOEIPA kopoek te a thoh dongah khohmuen hinghuen tih kilkul ni.
29The earth quakes and writhes because the LORD’s intentions against Babylon stand: to make the land of Babylon a desolation, without inhabitant.
30Babylon hlangrhalh loh vathoh ham khaw paa uh tih rhalmahim ah ngol uh. Amih kah thayung thamal te tla coeng tih huta bangla om uh. A tolhmuen a hlup uh tih a thohkalh ngen coeng.
30The warriors of Babylon have stopped fighting; they sit in their strongholds. Their strength is exhausted; they have become like women. Babylon’s homes have been set ablaze, the bars of her gates are broken.
31A khopuei a bawt duela a loh pah te Babylon manghai taengah puen ham, aka yong loh aka yong te doe ham neh, aka puen loh aka puen te doe ham yong uh.
31One courier races to meet another, and messenger follows messenger, to announce to the king of Babylon that his city has been captured from end to end.
32Lamkai te a tlaeng uh tih tuibap te hmai neh a hoeh uh. Te dongah caemtloek hlang rhoek khaw let uh.
32The fords have been seized, the marshes set on fire, and the soldiers are terrified.”
33Israel Pathen caempuei BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. A til tue ah tah Babylon nu te cangtilhmuen bangla om pawn vetih a taengah cangah tue pai pawn ni.
33For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “The Daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time it is trampled. In just a little while her harvest time will come.”
34Babylon manghai Nebukhanezar loh kaimih n'yoop tih kamah khaw n'yoop coeng, kaimih n'khawkkhek tih kamah n'khawkkhek coeng. Kaimih he am hong la n'khueh tih kamah khaw n'khueh. Tuihnam bangla kaimih he n'dolh tih kai khaw n'dolh. Ka omthennah neh a bungpuei a hah phoeiah tah kaimih te n'hoek tih kai khaw n'hoek.
34“Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me. He has set me aside like an empty vessel; he has swallowed me like a monster; he filled his belly with my delicacies and vomited me out.
35Zion khosa rhoek loh, “ka kuthlahnah neh ka pumsa he Babylon soah tla saeh,” ti saeh. Jerusalem loh, “Ka thii Khalden khosa rhoek soah tla saeh,” ti uh saeh.
35May the violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon,” says the dweller of Zion. “May my blood be on the dwellers of Chaldea,” says Jerusalem.
36Te dongah BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. Na tuituknah te kai loh kang rhoe tih nang kah tawnlohnah khaw phu ka loh ni. Te vaengah a tuipuei te ka kak sak vetih a thunsih te ka haang sak ni.
36Therefore this is what the LORD says: “Behold, I will plead your case and take vengeance on your behalf; I will dry up her sea and make her springs run dry.
37Babylon te pongui kah khuirhung lungkuk la om vetih imsuep neh a thuithetnah la khosa om mahpawh.
37Babylon will become a heap of rubble, a haunt for jackals, an object of horror and scorn, without inhabitant.
38Sathuengca bangla huek kawk uh tih sathueng casen bangla cai uh.
38They will roar together like young lions; they will growl like lion cubs.
39A bae vaengah a buhkoknah ka khueh pah saeh lamtah amih ka rhuihmil sak eh. Te daengah ni sundaep uh vetih aka ip loh kumhal due a ih vaengah a haenghang uh pawt eh. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni.
39While they are flushed with heat, I will serve them a feast, and I will make them drunk so that they may revel; then they will fall asleep forever and never wake up, declares the LORD.
40Amih te tuca bangla ngawn ham tutal neh kikong bangla ka suntlak sak ni.
40I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with male goats.
41Balae tih Sheshak te a loh veith diklai pum kah koehnah te a loh eh? Balae tih Babylon he namtom taengah imsuep la a om eh?
41How Sheshach has been captured! The praise of all the earth has been seized. What a horror Babylon has become among the nations!
42Babylon soah tuitunli loh a khuk tih a tuiphu tuilipo loh a et.
42The sea has come up over Babylon; she is covered in turbulent waves.
43A khopuei te rhamrhae khohmuen neh khohmuen kolken kah imsuep la poeh. A khuihah hlang boeih khosa pawt tih hlang capa tah te longah ah pongpa pawh.
43Her cities have become a desolation, a dry and arid land, a land where no one lives, where no son of man passes through.
44Babylon kah Bel te ka cawh coeng tih a dolhhnap te a ka lamloh ka yawt pah. Te dongah namtom khaw a taengah hlampan voel pawt tih Babylon vongtung khaw cungku van.
44I will punish Bel in Babylon. I will make him spew out what he swallowed. The nations will no longer stream to him; even the wall of Babylon will fall.
45Ka pilnam te a khui lamloh coe laeh saeh lamtah hlang loh a hinglu te BOEIPA kah thintoek thinsa lamloh loeih sak laeh.
45Come out of her, My people! Save your lives, each of you, from the fierce anger of the LORD.
46Nangmih thinko te phoena vetih khohmuen kah olthang na yaak vaengah na rhih uh ve. Kum khat dongkah olthang phoeiah kum khat dongah olthang he ha pawk. Diklai ah kuthlahnah he aka taemrhai loh aka taemrhai taengah a khueh.
46Do not let your heart grow faint, and do not be afraid when the rumor is heard in the land; for a rumor will come one year— and then another the next year— of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.
47Te dongah khohnin ha pawk coeng he. Babylon mueidaep te ka cawh coeng dongah a khohmuen boeih yak pawn ni. A rhok boeih te a khui ah yalh ni.
47Therefore, behold, the days are coming when I will punish the idols of Babylon. Her entire land will suffer shame, and all her slain will lie fallen within her.
48Te vaengah vaan neh diklai loh Babylon a tamhoe thil vetih anih aka rhoelrhak te tlangpuei lamloh amih taengah boeih ha pawk ni. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni.
48Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon because the destroyers from the north will come against her,” declares the LORD.
49Israel rhok aka yalh sak khaw Babylon tangkhuet, diklai pum rhok la aka yalh sak khaw Babylon tangkhuet ni.
49“Babylon must fall on account of the slain of Israel, just as the slain of all the earth have fallen because of Babylon.
50cunghang lamkah hlangyong rhoek loh pai kolla cet uh. Khohla lamloh BOEIPA te poek uh lamtah Jerusalem te na thinko ah dueh.
50You who have escaped the sword, depart and do not linger! Remember the LORD from far away, and let Jerusalem come to mind.”
51BOEIPA im kah rhokso ah kholong rhoek kun uh tih kaimih maelhmai mingthae han hluk te kokhahnah la n'yaak uh dongah n'yak uh.
51“We are ashamed because we have heard reproach; disgrace has covered our faces, because foreigners have entered the holy places of the LORD’s house.”
52Te dongah BOEIPA kah olphong khohnin ha pawk coeng he. A mueidaep te ka cawh thil vetih a khohmuen pum ah a rhok neh kii ni.
52“Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will punish her idols, and throughout her land the wounded will groan.
53Babylon te vaan la luei mai tih a sarhi hmuensang te bit cakhaw anih aka rhoelrhak te kamah taeng lamloh thoeng uh ni. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni.
53Even if Babylon ascends to the heavens and fortifies her lofty stronghold, the destroyers I send will come against her,” declares the LORD.
54Babylon lamkah a pang ol neh Khalden khohmuen lamkah pocinah tanglue aih te.
54“The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!
55BOEIPA loh Babylon te a rhoelrhak coeng tih, anih lamkah ol tanglue khaw a paltham sak. Tui len bangla a tuiphu loh kawk tih, a ol te longlonah la a huel.
55For the LORD will destroy Babylon; He will silence her mighty voice. The waves will roar like great waters; the tumult of their voices will resound.
56Babylon aka rhoelrhak te anih taengla pawk ni. Te vaengah a hlangrhalh rhoek a tuuk vetih, a lii khaw yawk ni. BOEIPA Pathen loh a khoboe te a thuung rhoe a thuung ni.
56For a destroyer is coming against her— against Babylon. Her warriors will be captured, and their bows will be broken, for the LORD is a God of retribution; He will repay in full.
57A mangpa rhoek neh a hlangcueih, a rhalboei neh anih kah ukkung rhoek khaw, a hlangrhalh khaw ka rhuihmil sak ni. Te vaengah kumhal due ip rhoe ip vetih haenghang uh mahpawh. A ming ah caempuei manghai, Yahweh kah olphong ni.
57I will make her princes and wise men drunk, along with her governors, officials, and warriors. Then they will fall asleep forever and not wake up,” declares the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts.
58Caempuei BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. Babylon vongtung a thah te a phae rhoe a phae ni. A vongka a sang te hmai dongah a hlup uh ni. Pilnam kah a kohnue carhil khaw a poeyoek la om tih namtu khaw hmai carhil dongah tawnba uh bal.
58This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Babylon’s thick walls will be leveled, and her high gates consumed by fire. So the labor of the people will be for nothing; the nations will exhaust themselves to fuel the flames.”
59Judah manghai Zedekiah a manghai kah a kum li dongah amah neh Babylon la a caeh vaengah tonghma Jeremiah loh Maaseiah koca Neriah capa Seraiah te ol a uen. Te vaengah Seraiah kah a mangpa tah duemnah la om.
59This is the message that Jeremiah the prophet gave to the quartermaster Seraiah son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, when he went to Babylon with King Zedekiah of Judah in the fourth year of Zedekiah’s reign.
60Te dongah Babylon ah aka pawk ham boethae cungkuem neh Babylon ham a daek ol cungkuem te khaw cabu pakhat dongah Jeremiah loh a daek.
60Jeremiah had written on a single scroll about all the disaster that would come upon Babylon—all these words that had been written concerning Babylon.
61Te vaengah Jeremiah loh Seraiah taengah, “Babylon na pha neh na hmuh taengah he ol cungkuem he doek pah.
61And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, “When you get to Babylon, see that you read all these words aloud,
62Te vaengah, 'BOEIPA loh he hmuen he a saii vetih a khuiah hlang neh rhamsa khaw khosa om pawt vetih kumhal ah khopong la om ni, 'ti nah lamtah namah loh thui pah.
62and say, ‘O LORD, You have promised to cut off this place so that no one will remain—neither man nor beast. Indeed, it will be desolate forever.’
63Cabu na tae te na khah vaengah lungto te khit thil lamtah Perath laklung la voei ne.
63When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and cast it into the Euphrates.
64Te vaengah, 'Babylon khaw buek van vetih yoethae hmai lamloh thoo thai mahpawh. Te tah kai loh anih soah ka thoeng sak dongah tawnba uh ni,’ ti nah,” a ti nah. He hil he Jeremiah kah ol ni.
64Then you are to say, ‘In the same way Babylon will sink and never rise again, because of the disaster I will bring upon her. And her people will grow weary.’” Here end the words of Jeremiah.
