1Vidu, ne mallongiĝis la mano de la Eternulo, por ke ĝi ne povu helpi; kaj ne malakriĝis Lia orelo, por ke Li ne aŭdu.
1Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear;
2Nur viaj krimoj estis disigilo inter vi kaj via Dio, kaj viaj pekoj kovris antaŭ vi Lian vizaĝon, por ke Li ne aŭdu.
2But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.
3Ĉar viaj manoj estas makulitaj per sango, kaj viaj fingroj per krimo; via buŝo parolas malveron, via lango esprimas maljustaĵon.
3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue muttereth wickedness.
4Neniu procesas honeste, kaj neniu juĝas juste; oni fidas vantaĵon kaj parolas malveron, gravediĝas per malhonestaĵo kaj naskas krimon.
4None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth; they trust in vanity, and speak lies, they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5Oni kovas ovojn de vipuro, kaj oni teksas araneaĵon. Kiu manĝas iom el tiuj ovoj, tiu mortas; kiam oni ilin disrompas, elaperas vipuro.
5They hatch basilisks' eggs, and weave the spider's web; he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
6Ilia teksaĵo ne taŭgos por vesto, kaj ili ne kovros sin per sia faritaĵo; iliaj faroj estas faroj pekaj, kaj agoj de rabo estas en iliaj manoj.
6Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall men cover themselves with their works; their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
7Iliaj piedoj kuras al malbono, kaj ili rapidas, por verŝi senkulpan sangon; iliaj pensoj estas pensoj pekaj; ruinigo kaj pereigo estas sur ilia vojo.
7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity, desolation and destruction are in their paths.
8Vojon de paco ili ne konas, kaj sur iliaj irejoj ne troviĝas justeco; siajn vojetojn ili kurbigis al si; ĉiu, kiu iras sur ili, ne konas pacon.
8The way of peace they know not, and there is no right in their goings; they have made them crooked paths, whosoever goeth therein doth not know peace.
9Tial malproksimiĝis de ni justeco, kaj vero ne atingis nin; ni atendas lumon, sed jen estas mallumo; brilon, sed ni iras en mallumo.
9Therefore is justice far from us, neither doth righteousness overtake us; we look for light, but behold darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10Ni palpas la muron kiel blinduloj, kaj ni palpas kiel senokululoj; en tagmezo ni faletas kiel en krepusko, en mallumo kiel mortintoj.
10We grope for the wall like the blind, yea, as they that have no eyes do we grope; we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; we are in dark places like the dead.
11Ni ĉiuj blekegas kiel ursoj, kaj ni ĝemas kiel kolomboj; ni atendas justecon, sed ĝi forestas; savon, sed ĝi estas malproksime de ni.
11We all growl like bears, and mourn sore like doves; we look for right, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12Ĉar multiĝis niaj krimoj antaŭ Vi, kaj niaj pekoj atestas kontraŭ ni; ĉar niaj krimoj estas kun ni, kaj niajn pekojn ni konas.
12For our transgressions are multiplied before Thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are present to us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
13Ni krimis kaj mensogis kontraŭ la Eternulo, kaj ni forturnis nin de nia Dio; ni parolis pri rabado kaj malbonagado, ni preparis kaj eligis el la koro vortojn mensogajn.
13Transgressing and denying the LORD, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and perverseness, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14Kaj forturniĝis malantaŭen la justeco, kaj la virto staras malproksime; ĉar la vero faletis sur la strato, kaj la ĝusteco ne povas veni.
14And justice is turned away backward, and righteousness standeth afar off; for truth hath stumbled in the broad place, and uprightness cannot enter.
15Kaj la vero estas forigita; kaj prirabata estas tiu, kiu detenas sin de malbono. Kaj la Eternulo vidis, kaj Li indignis, ke forestas justeco.
15And truth is lacking, and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey. And the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice;
16Kaj Li vidis, ke ne troviĝas viro, kaj Li miris, ke ne troviĝas defendanto; kaj helpis Lin Lia brako, kaj Lia justeco Lin subtenis.
16And He saw that there was no man, and was astonished that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him;
17Kaj Li surmetis sur Sin la veron kiel kirason, kaj la kaskon de savo sur Sian kapon; kaj Li metis sur Sin veston de venĝo, kaj envolvis Sin en severecon kiel en mantelon.
17And He put on righteousness as a coat of mail, and a helmet of salvation upon His head, and He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
18Laŭ la faroj Li repagos: koleron al Siaj malamikoj, honton al Siaj malamantoj; al la insuloj Li repagos, kion ili meritas.
18According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompense.
19Kaj oni timos en la okcidento la nomon de la Eternulo kaj en la oriento Lian majeston; ĉar la malamiko venos kiel rivero, pelata de la spirado de la Eternulo.
19So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; for distress will come in like a flood, which the breath of the LORD driveth.
20Kaj venos Liberiganto por Cion, kaj por tiuj el Jakob, kiuj retiriĝis de malbonagoj, diras la Eternulo.
20And a redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
21Kaj Mi faras kun ili jenan interligon, diras la Eternulo: Mia spirito, kiu estas sur vi, kaj Miaj vortoj, kiujn Mi metis en vian buŝon, ne foriĝos de via buŝo nek de la buŝo de viaj infanoj nek de la buŝo de via plua idaro, de nun ĝis eterne, diras la Eternulo.
21And as for Me, this is My covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and My words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
