1Jen estas la generaciaro de Esav, kiu ankaŭ estas Edom.
1Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
2Esav prenis siajn edzinojn el la Kanaanidinoj: Adan, filinon de Elon la Ĥetido, kaj Oholibaman, filinon de Ana, filino de Cibeon la Ĥivido,
2Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
3kaj Basmaton, filinon de Iŝmael, fratinon de Nebajot.
3And Bashemath Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth.
4Kaj Ada naskis al Esav Elifazon, kaj Basmat naskis Reuelon.
4And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;
5Kaj Oholibama naskis Jeuŝon kaj Jalamon kaj Koraĥon. Tio estas la filoj de Esav, kiuj naskiĝis al li en la lando Kanaana.
5And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

6And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.
7Ĉar ilia havo estis tiel granda, ke ili ne povis loĝi kune; kaj la lando, en kiu ili vivis fremdule, ne povis teni ilin pro la grandeco de iliaj brutaroj.
7For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.
8Kaj Esav ekloĝis sur la monto Seir; Esav estas ankaŭ Edom.
8Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
9Kaj jen estas la generaciaro de Esav, la patro de la Edomidoj, sur la monto Seir:
9¶ And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
10jen estas la nomoj de la filoj de Esav: Elifaz, filo de Ada, edzino de Esav; Reuel, filo de Basmat, edzino de Esav.
10These are the names of Esau’s sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.
11Kaj la filoj de Elifaz estis: Teman, Omar, Cefo kaj Gatam kaj Kenaz.
11And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12Kaj Timna estis kromvirino de Elifaz, filo de Esav, kaj ŝi naskis al Elifaz Amalekon. Tio estas la filoj de Ada, edzino de Esav.
12And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau’s wife.
13Kaj jen estas la filoj de Reuel: Naĥat kaj Zeraĥ, Ŝama kaj Miza. Tio estas la filoj de Basmat, edzino de Esav.
13And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.
14Kaj jen estas la filoj de Oholibama, filino de Ana, filino de Cibeon, edzino de Esav: ŝi naskis al Esav Jeuŝon kaj Jalamon kaj Koraĥon.
14¶ And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
15Jen estas la ĉefoj de la filoj de Esav: la filoj de Elifaz, unuenaskito de Esav: ĉefo Teman, ĉefo Omar, ĉefo Cefo, ĉefo Kenaz,
15¶ These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
16ĉefo Koraĥ, ĉefo Gatam, ĉefo Amalek. Tio estas la ĉefoj de Elifaz en la lando de Edom. Tio estas la filoj de Ada.
16Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.
17Kaj jen estas la filoj de Reuel, filo de Esav: ĉefo Naĥat, ĉefo Zeraĥ, ĉefo Ŝama, ĉefo Miza. Tio estas la ĉefoj de Reuel en la lando de Edom. Tio estas la filoj de Basmat, edzino de Esav.
17¶ And these are the sons of Reuel Esau’s son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.
18Kaj jen estas la filoj de Oholibama, edzino de Esav: ĉefo Jeuŝ, ĉefo Jalam, ĉefo Koraĥ. Tio estas la ĉefoj de Oholibama, filino de Ana, edzino de Esav.
18¶ And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau’s wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.
19Tio estas la filoj de Esav, kaj tio estas iliaj ĉefoj. Tio estas Edom.
19These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.
20Jen estas la filoj de Seir la Ĥorido, kiuj loĝis en la lando: Lotan kaj Ŝobal kaj Cibeon kaj Ana
20¶ These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
21kaj Diŝon kaj Ecer kaj Diŝan. Tio estas la ĉefoj de la Ĥoridoj, filoj de Seir, en la lando de Edom.
21And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
22La filoj de Lotan estis: Ĥori kaj Hemam; kaj la fratino de Lotan estis Timna.
22And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
23Kaj jen estas la filoj de Ŝobal: Alvan kaj Manaĥat kaj Ebal, Ŝefo kaj Onam.
23And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
24Kaj jen estas la infanoj de Cibeon: Aja kaj Ana. Tio estas tiu Ana, kiu trovis la varmajn akvojn en la dezerto, kiam li paŝtis la azenojn de sia patro Cibeon.
24And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
25Kaj jen estas la infanoj de Ana: Diŝon, kaj Oholibama, filino de Ana.
25And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
26Kaj jen estas la filoj de Diŝon: Ĥemdan kaj Eŝban kaj Jitran kaj Keran.
26And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27Jen estas la filoj de Ecer: Bilhan kaj Zaavan kaj Akan.
27The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.
28Jen estas la filoj de Diŝan: Uc kaj Aran.
28The children of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran.
29Jen estas la ĉefoj de la Ĥoridoj: ĉefo Lotan, ĉefo Ŝobal, ĉefo Cibeon, ĉefo Ana,
29These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,

30Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.
31Kaj jen estas la reĝoj, kiuj reĝis en la lando de Edom, antaŭ ol aperis reĝoj ĉe la Izraelidoj:
31¶ And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
32En Edom reĝis Bela, filo de Beor, kaj la nomo de lia urbo estis Dinhaba.
32And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33Kiam Bela mortis, ekreĝis anstataŭ li Jobab, filo de Zeraĥ el Bocra.
33And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
34Kiam mortis Jobab, ekreĝis anstataŭ li Ĥuŝam el la lando de la Temananoj.
34And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.
35Kiam mortis Ĥuŝam, ekreĝis anstataŭ li Hadad, filo de Bedad, kiu venkobatis la Midjanidojn sur la kampo de Moab; kaj la nomo de lia urbo estis Avit.
35And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
36Kiam mortis Hadad, ekreĝis anstataŭ li Samla el Masreka.
36And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
37Kiam mortis Samla, ekreĝis anstataŭ li Ŝaul el Reĥobot ĉe la Rivero.
37And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
38Kiam mortis Ŝaul, ekreĝis anstataŭ li Baal-Ĥanan, filo de Aĥbor.
38And Saul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
39Kiam mortis Baal-Ĥanan, filo de Aĥbor, ekreĝis anstataŭ li Hadar; la nomo de lia urbo estis Pau, kaj la nomo de lia edzino estis Mehetabel, filino de Matred, filino de Me-Zahab.
39And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
40Kaj jen estas la nomoj de la ĉefoj de Esav, laŭ iliaj gentoj, lokoj, kaj nomoj: ĉefo Timna, ĉefo Alva, ĉefo Jetet,
40And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,
41ĉefo Oholibama, ĉefo Ela, ĉefo Pinon,
41Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
42ĉefo Kenaz, ĉefo Teman, ĉefo Mibcar,
42Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
43ĉefo Magdiel, ĉefo Iram. Tio estas la ĉefoj de Edom, kiel ili loĝis en la lando, posedata de ili. Esav estis la patro de la Edomidoj.
43Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.
