1He is come up that shall destroy before thy face, that shall keep the siege: watch the way, fortify thy loins, strengthen thy power exceedingly.
1Aquele que despedaça subiu contra você. Guarde a fortaleza! Vigie o caminho! Fortaleça os seus lombos! Fortifique grandemente o seu poder!
2For the Lord hath rendered the pride of Jacob, as the pride of Israel: because the spoilers have laid them waste, and have marred their vine branches.
2Pois o SENHOR restaura a excelência de Jacó como a excelência de Israel, pois os destruidores os destruíram e arruinaram os seus ramos de videira.
3The shield of his mighty men is like fire, the men of the army are clad in scarlet, the reins of the chariot are flaming in the day of his preparation, and the drivers are stupefied.
3O escudo dos seus homens fortes é vermelho. Os homens valentes vestem escarlate. Os carros de guerra brilham com aço no dia da sua preparação, e as lanças de pinho são brandidas.
4They are in confusion in the ways, the chariots jostle one against another in the streets: their looks are like torches, like lightning running to and fro.
4Os carros de guerra correm furiosamente nas ruas. Eles cruzam de um lado para o outro nos caminhos largos. A aparência deles é como tochas. Eles correm como os relâmpagos.
5He will muster up his valiant men, they shall stumble in their march: they shall quickly get upon the walls thereof: and a covering shall be prepared.
5Ele convoca as suas tropas escolhidas. Eles tropeçam em seu caminho. Eles correm para a sua muralha, e o escudo protetor é colocado no lugar.
6The gates of the rivers are opened, and the temple is thrown down to the ground.
6As comportas dos rios são abertas, e o palácio se dissolve.
7And the soldier is led away captive: and her bondwomen were led away mourning as doves, murmuring in their hearts.
7Está decretado: ela é desnudada, ela é levada cativa; e as suas servas gemem como com voz de pombas, batendo em seus peitos.
8And as for Ninive, her waters are like a great pool, but the men flee away. They cry: Stand, stand, but there is none that will return back.
8Mas Nínive tem sido desde a antiguidade como um tanque de águas, contudo eles fogem. “Parem! Parem!” eles gritam, mas ninguém olha para trás.
9Take ye the spoil of the silver, take the spoil of the gold: for there is no end of the riches of all the precious furniture.
9Tomem o despojo de prata. Tomem o despojo de ouro, pois não há fim para o tesouro, uma abundância de todas as coisas preciosas.
10She is destroyed, and rent, and torn: the heart melteth, and the knees fail, and all the loins lose their strength: and the faces of them all are as the blackness of a kettle.
10Ela está vazia, desolada e devastada. O coração se derrete, os joelhos batem um no outro, seus corpos e rostos empalideceram.
11Where is now the dwelling of the lions, and the feeding place of the young lions, to which the lion went, to enter in thither, the young lion, and there was none to make them afraid?
11Onde está a toca dos leões, e o lugar de alimentação dos leões jovens, onde o leão e a leoa andavam com os filhotes do leão, e ninguém os espantava?
12The lion caught enough for his whelps, and killed for his lionesses: and he filled his holes with prey, and his den with rapine.
12O leão despedaçava o suficiente para os seus filhotes, e estrangulava presas para as suas leoas, e enchia as suas cavernas com a caça e as suas tocas com a presa.
13Behold I come against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn thy chariots even to smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey out of the land, and the voice of thy messengers shall be heard no more.
13“Eis que eu sou contra você”, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, “e eu queimarei os carros de guerra dela na fumaça, e a espada devorará os seus leões jovens; e eu eliminarei a sua presa da terra, e a voz dos seus mensageiros não será mais ouvida.”
