1And Josue gathered together all the tribes of Israel in Sichem, and called for the ancients, and the princes, and the judges, and the masters: and they stood in the sight of the Lord:
1တဖန် ယောရှု သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုး အပေါင်း တို့ကို ရှေခင် မြို့၌ စည်းဝေး စေ၍ ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး အသက် ကြီးသူ၊ အကဲ အမှူး၊ တရား သူကြီး၊ အရာရှိ သောသူတို့ကို ခေါ် သဖြင့် ၊ သူတို့သည် ဘုရား သခင်ရှေ့ တော်သို့ ချဉ်းကပ် ကြ၏။
2And he spoke thus to the people: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Your fathers dwelt of old on the other side of the river, Thare the father of Abraham, and Nachor: and they served strange gods.
2ထိုအခါ ယောရှု သည် လူ အပေါင်း တို့အား ဟောပြော လေသည်မှာ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ အာဗြဟံ နှင့် နာခေါ် တို့၏ အဘ တေရ မှစ၍ သင် တို့ဘိုးဘေး တို့သည် ရှေး ကာလ၌ မြစ် ကြီးတစ်ဘက် မှာ နေ ၍ အခြား တပါးသောဘုရား တို့ကို ဝတ်ပြု ကြ၏။
3And I took your father Abraham from the borders of Mesopotamia: and brought him into the land of Chanaan: and I multiplied his seed,
3သင် တို့အဘ အာဗြဟံ ကို မြစ် ကြီးတစ်ဘက် မှ ငါခေါ်ပြီးလျှင် ၊ ခါနာန် ပြည် အရပ်ရပ် သို့ ပို့ဆောင် ၍ သူ ၏ အမျိုး အနွယ်ကို များပြား စေလျက် ၊ ဣဇာက် ကို ပေး ၏။
4And gave him Isaac: and to him again I gave Jacob and Esau. And I gave to Esau mount Seir for his possession: but Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.
4ဣဇာက် အား လည်း ၊ ယာကုပ် နှင့် ဧသော ကို ငါပေး ၍ ၊ ဧသော အား လည်း စိရ တောင် ကို အပိုင် ပေး ၏။ ယာကုပ် နှင့် သူ ၏သား တို့သည် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်သို့ သွား ကြ၏။
5And I sent Moses and Aaron, and I struck Egypt with many signs and wonders.
5မောရှေ နှင့် အာရုန် ကို ငါစေလွှတ် ၍ အဲဂုတ္တုလူ တို့၌ ပြု သည်အတိုင်း ၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်ကို ဆုံးမ သောနောက် ၊ သင် တို့ကို နှုတ် ဆောင်လေ၏။
6And I brought you and your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea: and the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen, as far as the Red Sea.
6ထိုသို့ သင် တို့အဘ များကို အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ငါနှုတ်ဆောင် သဖြင့် ၊ သူတို့သည် ဧဒုံပင်လယ် သို့ ရောက် ၍ ၊ အဲဂုတ္တု လူတို့သည် ရထား နှင့် မြင်းစီး သူရဲပါလျက် ထိုပင်လယ် တိုင်အောင်လိုက် ကြ၏။
7And the children of Israel cried to the Lord: and he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them, and covered them. Your eyes saw all that I did in Egypt, and you dwelt in the wilderness a long time:
7ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အော်ဟစ် သောအခါ ၊ သင် တို့နှင့် အဲဂုတ္တု လူတို့စပ်ကြား မှာ မှောင်မိုက် ကို ငါထား ၍ သူ တို့ကို ပင်လယ် ရေလွှမ်းမိုး စေ၏။ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်၌ ငါပြု သောအမှုကို သင် တို့သည် ကိုယ်တိုင်မြင် ကြပြီ။ တော ၌ လည်း ကာလ ကြာမြင့် စွာနေ ရကြ၏။
8And I brought you into the land of the Amorrhite, who dwelt beyond the Jordan. And when they fought against you, I delivered them into your hands, and you possessed their land, and slew them.
8နောက် တဖန် ယော်ဒန် မြစ်အရှေ့ ဘက်၌ နေ သော အာမောရိ လူတို့ပြည် သို့ သင် တို့ကို ငါပို့ဆောင် ၍ ၊ သူတို့သည် စစ်တိုက် သောအခါ သူ တို့ကို သင် တို့လက် ၌ ငါအပ် ၍ သူ တို့မြေ ကို သင်တို့သည် သိမ်းယူ ကြ၏။ သူ တို့ကို သင် တို့ရှေ့ မှ ငါသုတ်သင် ပယ်ရှင်းလေ၏။
9And Balac son of Sephor king of Moab arose and fought against Israel. And he sent and called for Balaam son of Beor, to curse you:
9မောဘ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဇိဖေါ် ၏သား ဗာလက် သည် ထ ၍ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးကို စစ်တိုက် သဖြင့် ၊ သင် တို့ကို ကျိန်ဆဲ စေခြင်းငှါ ၊ ဗောရ ၏သား ဗာလမ် ကို ခေါ် သောအခါ၊
10And I would not hear him, but on the contrary I blessed you by him, and I delivered you out of his hand.
10ဗာလမ် ၏စကားကို ငါနား မ ထောင်သောကြောင့် ၊ သူသည် အထပ်ထပ်ကောင်းကြီး ပေး၍ သူ့ လက် မှ သင် တို့ကို ငါကယ် လွှတ်လေ၏။
11And you passed over the Jordan, and you came to Jericho. And the men of that city fought against you, the Amorrhite, and the Pherezite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, and the Gergesite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite: and I delivered them into your hands.
11တဖန် သင်တို့သည် ယော်ဒန် မြစ်ကို ကူး ၍ ယေရိခေါ မြို့သို့ ရောက် ကြသောအခါ ၊ ယေရိခေါ လူ ၊ အာမောရိ လူ၊ ဖေရဇိ လူ၊ ခါနနိ လူ၊ ဟိတ္တိ လူ၊ ဂိရဂါရှိ လူ၊ ဟိဝိ လူ၊ ယေဗုသိ လူတို့သည် သင်တို့ကို စစ်တိုက် ၍ သူ တို့ကို သင် တို့လက် ၌ ငါအပ် လေ၏။
12And I sent before you hornets: and I drove them out from their places, the two kings of the Amorrhites, not with thy sword nor with thy bow.
12သင် တို့၌ ထား နှင့် လေး မ ပါဘဲ၊ သင် တို့ရှေ့ မှာ ပျားတူ ကို ငါစေလွှတ် ၍ ၊ အာမောရိ မင်းကြီး နှစ် ပါးကို သင် တို့ရှေ့ မှ ငါနှင်ထုတ် လေ၏။
13And I gave you a land, in which you had not laboured, and cities to dwell in which you built not, vineyards and oliveyards, which you planted not.
13သင် တို့မ လုပ်သောမြေ ၊ မ တည် သော မြို့ တို့ကို ငါပေး ၍ သင်တို့သည် နေ ရကြ၏။ ကိုယ်တိုင်မ စိုက် သော စပျစ် ဥယျာဉ်၊ သံလွင် ဥယျာဉ်တို့ကို စား ရကြသည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရား အမိန့်တော်ရှိ၏။
14Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him with a perfect and most sincere heart: and put away the gods which your fathers served in Mesopotamia and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.
14ယခု မှာ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ ၍ ကြည်ဖြူ ခြင်း၊ သစ္စာ စောင့်ခြင်းနှင့်တကွ ဝတ်ပြု ကြလော့။ မြစ် ကြီးတစ်ဘက် ၌ ၎င်း၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်၌ ၎င်း၊ ဘိုးဘေး တို့ဝတ်ပြု သော ဘုရား များကို ပယ် ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား ကိုသာ ဝတ်ပြု ကြလော့။
15But if it seem evil to you to serve the Lord, you have your choice: choose this day that which pleaseth you, whom you would rather serve, whether the gods which your fathers served in Mesopotamia, or the gods of the Amorrhites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
15သို့မဟုတ် ထာဝရဘုရား အား ဝတ် မ ပြုကောင်းဟု သင် တို့ထင် လျှင်၊ မြစ် ကြီးတစ်ဘက် ၌ ဘိုးဘေး တို့ဝတ်ပြု သော ဘုရား ၊ သင် တို့နေ ရာ အာမောရိ ပြည်သားတို့၏ ဘုရား များတွင်၊ အဘယ် မည်သော ဘုရားတို့အား ဝတ်ပြု မည်အရာကို ယနေ့ ရွေး ကြလော့။ ငါ နှင့် ငါ့ အိမ်သား ဖြစ်လျှင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကိုသာ ဝတ်ပြု မည်ဟု ဆိုလေသော်၊
16And the people answered, and said: God forbid we should leave the Lord, and serve strange gods.
16လူ များတို့က အခြား တပါးသောဘုရား တို့ကို ဝတ်ပြု ခြင်းငှါ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို စွန့် သောအမှုသည် အကျွန်ုပ် တို့နှင့် ဝေး ပါစေသော။
17The Lord our God he brought us and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage: and did very great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way by which we journeyed, and among all the people through whom we passed.
17ငါ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား သည်၊ ကျွန် ခံနေရာ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည် မှ အဘ တို့နှင့် ငါ တို့ကို နှုတ် ဆောင်၍ ၊ ကြီးစွာ သော နိမိတ် လက္ခဏာတို့ကို ငါ တို့မျက်မှောက် ၌ ပြ တော်မူပြီ။ ငါတို့သွား လေရာရာအရပ် ၊ ရှောက် လေရာရာလူမျိုး တို့တွင် စောင့် တော်မူပြီ။
18And he hath cast out all the nations, the Amorrhite the inhabitant of the land into which we are come. Therefore we will serve the Lord, for he is our God.
18ထာဝရဘုရား သည်လည်း ၊ ဤပြည် ၌ နေ သောသူ အာမောရိ လူ အပေါင်း တို့ကို ငါ တို့ရှေ့ မှ နှင်ထုတ် တော်မူပြီ။ ထာဝရဘုရား အား ဝတ်ပြု ပါမည်။ ထိုဘုရား သည် ငါ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူသည်ဟု ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။
19And Josue said to the people: You will not be able to serve the Lord: for he is a holy God, and mighty and jealous, and will not forgive your wickedness and sins.
19ယောရှု ကလည်း ၊ သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား အား ဝတ် မ ပြုနိုင်။။ ထိုဘုရား သည် သန့်ရှင်း သောဘုရား၊ အပြစ်ရှိသည်ဟု ထင်လွယ်သောဘုရား ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ သင် တို့လွန်ကျူး ပြစ်မှားသော အပြစ် တို့ကို သည်းခံ တော်မ မူ။
20If you leave the Lord, and serve strange gods, he will turn, and will afflict you, and will destroy you after all the good he hath done you.
20သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို စွန့် ၍ တကျွန်းတနိုင်ငံ ဘုရား တို့ကို ဝတ်ပြု လျှင် ၊ သင် တို့၌ ကျေးဇူး ပြုတော်မူပြီးမှ တဖန် လှည့် ၍ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူမည်ဟု ဆိုလျှင်၊
21And the people said to Josue: No, it shall not be so as thou sayest, but we will serve the Lord.
21လူ များတို့က၊ မ ဟုတ်ပါ။ ထာဝရဘုရား ကိုသာ ဝတ်ပြု ပါမည်ဟု ပြန်လျှောက် ကြ၏။
22And Josue said to the people: You are witnesses, that you yourselves have chosen you the Lord to serve him. And they answered: We are witnesses.
22ယောရှု ကလည်း ၊ သင် တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ဝတ်ပြု ခြင်းငှါ ထိုဘုရားကို ရွေး ကြပြီဟု ကိုယ်အမှု၌ ကိုယ်သက်သေ ခံကြသည်ဟုဆို လျှင် သူတို့က၊ သက်သေ ခံကြပါ၏ဟု လျှောက် ကြသော်၊
23Now therefore, said he, put away strange gods from among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord the God of Israel.
23ယောရှုက၊ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ၊ သင် တို့တွင် ရှိသော တကျွန်းတနိုင်ငံ ဘုရား တို့ကို ပယ် ၍ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ဘက်သို့ စိတ် နှလုံးကို ညွှတ် ကြလော့ဟု ဆိုလေ၏။
24And the people said to Josue: We will serve the Lord our God, and we will be obedient to his commandments.
24လူ များတို့ကလည်း ၊ ငါ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ဝတ်ပြု ပါမည်။ စကား တော်ကို နားထောင် ပါမည်ဟု ဝန်ခံ ပြီးမှ၊
25Josue therefore on that day made a covenant, and set before the people commandments and judgments in Sichem.
25ယောရှု သည် ထို နေ့ ၌ လူ များတို့နှင့် ပဋိညာဉ် ပြု ၍ ရှေခင် မြို့မှာ စီရင် ထုံးဖွဲ့ ချက်ကို ထား လေ၏။
26And he wrote all these things in the volume of the law of the Lord: and he took a great stone, and set it under the oak that was in the sanctuary of the Lord.
26ထို စကား ကိုလည်း ဘုရား သခင်၏ ဓမ္မ ကျမ်းစာ ၌ ရေး ထား၍ ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ သန့်ရှင်း ရာဌာနတော် နား မှာရှိသော သပိတ် ပင်အောက် ၌ ကျောက် ကြီး ကို ထောင် လျက်၊
27And he said to all the people: Behold this stone shall be a testimony unto you, that it hath heard all the words of the Lord, which he hath spoken to you: lest perhaps hereafter you will deny it, and lie to the Lord your God.
27ဤ ကျောက် သည် ငါ တို့အား သက်သေ ဖြစ် ရလိမ့်မည်။ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသောစကား အလုံးစုံ ကို ကြား ရပြီ။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်တို့သည် ဘုရား သခင်ကို ငြင်းပယ် ခြင်းနှင့် ကင်းလွတ်မည်အကြောင်း သင် တို့အား သက်သေ ဖြစ် ရလိမ့်မည်ဟု လူ အပေါင်း တို့အား ပြောဆို ပြီးမှ၊
28And he sent the people away every one to their own possession.
28အသီး အသီးမိမိ တို့အမွေ ခံရာအရပ်သို့ ပြန် သွားရသောအခွင့်ကိုပေးလေ၏။
29And after these things Josue the son of Null the servant of the Lord died, being a hundred and ten years old:
29ထိုနောက်မှ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ကျွန် ၊ နုန် ၏သား ယောရှု သည် အသက် တရာ တဆယ် ရှိသော် အနိစ္စ ရောက်လေ၏။
30And they buried him in the border of his possession in Thamnathsare, which is situate in mount Ephraim, on the north side of mount Gaas.
30ဧဖရိမ် တောင် ပေါ်၊ ဂါရှ ကုန်း မြောက် မှာ ရှိသောသူ ၏အမွေ ခံရာ တိမနဿေရ မြို့နယ်မြေ ၌ သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ကြ၏။
31And Israel served the Lord all the days of Josue, and of the ancients that lived a long time after Josue, and that had known all the works of the Lord which he had done in Israel.
31ယောရှု လက်ထက်ကာလ ပတ်လုံး ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ဝတ်ပြု ကြ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးအဘို့ ပြု တော်မူသမျှ တို့ကို သိ ၍ ယောရှု မရှိသည်နောက် အသက် ရှင်သေးသော အသက်ကြီး သူတို့လက်ထက် ၌လည်း ထာဝရဘုရားကို ဝတ်ပြုကြ၏။
32And the bones of Joseph which the children of Israel had taken out of Egypt, they buried in Sichem, in that part of the field which Jacob had bought of the sons of Hemor the father of Sichem, for a hundred young ewes, and it was in the possession of the sons of Joseph.
32ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ဆောင် ခဲ့သော ယောသပ် ၏အရိုး တို့ကို၊ ရှေခင် ၏အဘ ဟာမော် ၏သား တို့တွင် ငွေ တ ပိဿာနှင့် ယာကုပ် ဝယ် သော ရှေခင် မြို့နယ်မြေ အကွက် ၌ သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ကြ၏။ ထိုမြေအကွက်သည် ယောသပ် သား တို့ အမွေ မြေဖြစ် သတည်း။
33Eleazar also the son of Aaron died: and they buried him in Gabaath that belongeth to Phinees his son, which was given him in mount Ephraim.
33အာရုန် သား ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်ဧလာဇာ သည်လည်း အနိစ္စ ရောက်လေ၏။ သူ ၏သား ဖိနဟတ် အား လူများပေး ခဲ့သော ဧဖရိမ် တောင် ပေါ်၊ ဖိနဟတ် ကုန်း ၌ သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ကြ၏။
