1At that time the Lord said to me: Hew thee two tables of stone like the former, and come up to me into the mount: and thou shalt make an ark of mood,
1Zu derselben Zeit sprach der HERR zu mir: Haue dir zwei steinerne Tafeln wie die ersten und komm zu mir auf den Berg und mache dir eine hölzerne Lade,
2And I will write on the tables the words that were in them, which thou brokest before, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
2so will ich auf die Tafeln schreiben die Worte, die auf den ersten waren, die du zerbrochen hast; und du sollst sie in die Lade legen.
3And I made an ark of setim wood And when I had hewn two tables of stone like the former, I went up into the mount, having them in my hands.
3Also machte ich die Lade von Akazienholz und hieb zwei steinerne Tafeln, wie die ersten waren, und ging auf den Berg und hatte die zwei Tafeln in meinen Händen.
4And he wrote in the tables, according as he had written before, the ten words, which the Lord spoke to you in the mount from the midst of the fire, when the people were assembled: and he gave them to me.
4Da schrieb er auf die Tafeln, wie die erste Schrift war, die zehn Worte, die der HERR zu euch redete aus dem Feuer auf dem Berge zur Zeit der Versammlung; und der HERR gab sie mir.
5And returning from the mount, I came down, and put the tables into the ark, that I had made, and they are there till this present, as the Lord commanded me.
5Und ich wandte mich und ging vom Berge und legte die Tafeln in die Lade, die ich gemacht hatte, daß sie daselbst wären, wie mir der HERR geboten hatte.
6And the children of Israel removed their camp from Beroth of the children of Jacan into Mosera, where Aaron died and was buried, and Eleazar his son succeeded him in the priestly office.
6Und die Kinder Israel zogen aus von Beeroth-Bne-Jaakan gen Moser. Daselbst starb Aaron, und ist daselbst begraben; und sein Sohn Eleasar ward für ihn Priester.
7From thence they came to Gadgad, from which place they departed, and camped in Jetebatha, in a land of waters and torrents.
7Von da zogen sie aus gen Gudegoda, von Gugegoda gen Jotbatha, ein Land, da Bäche sind.
8At that time he separated the tribe of Levi, to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to stand before him in the ministry, and to bless in his name until this present day.
8Zur selben Zeit sonderte der HERR den Stamm Levi aus, die Lade des Bundes des HERRN zu tragen und zu stehen vor dem HERRN, ihm zu dienen und in seinem Namen zu segnen bis auf diesen Tag.
9Wherefore Levi hath no part nor possession with his brethren: because the Lord himself is his possession, as the Lord thy God promised him.
9Darum sollten die Leviten kein Teil noch Erbe haben mit ihren Brüdern; denn der HERR ist ihr Erbe, wie der HERR, dein Gott, ihnen geredet hat.
10And I stood in the mount, as before, forty days and nights: and the Lord heard me this time also, and would not destroy thee.
10Ich aber stand auf dem Berge, wie das erstemal, vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte; und der HERR erhörte mich auch diesmal und wollte dich nicht verderben.
11And he said to me: Go, and walk before the people, that they may enter, and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers that I would give them.
11Er sprach aber zu mir: Mache dich auf und gehe hin, daß du vor dem Volk her ziehst, daß sie hineinkommen und das Land einnehmen, das ich ihren Vätern geschworen habe ihnen zu geben.
12And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but that thou fear the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways, and love him, and serve the Lord thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul:
12Nun, Israel, was fordert der HERR, dein Gott, von dir, denn daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, fürchtest, daß du in allen seinen Wegen wandelst und liebst ihn und dienest dem HERRN, deinem Gott, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele,
13And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?
13daß du die Gebote des HERRN haltest und seine Rechte, die ich dir heute gebiete, auf daß dir's wohl gehe?
14Behold heaven is the Lord’s thy God, and the heaven of heaven, the earth and all things that are therein.
14Siehe, der Himmel und aller Himmel Himmel und die Erde und alles, was darinnen ist, das ist des HERRN, deines Gottes.
15And yet the Lord hath been closely joined to thy fathers, and loved them and chose their seed after them, that is to say, you, out of all nations, as this day it is proved.
15dennoch hat er allein zu deinen Vätern Lust gehabt, daß er sie liebte, und hat ihren Samen erwählt nach ihnen, euch, aus allen Völkern, wie es heutigestages steht.
16Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and stiffen your neck no more.
16So beschneidet nun eure Herzen und seid fürder nicht halsstarrig.
17Because the Lord your God he is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, a great God and mighty and terrible, a who accepteth no person nor taketh bribes.
17Denn der HERR, euer Gott, ist ein Gott aller Götter und HERR über alle Herren, ein großer Gott, mächtig und schrecklich, der keine Person achtet und kein Geschenk nimmt
18He doth judgment to the fatherless and the widow, loveth the stranger, and giveth him food and raiment.
18und schafft Recht den Waisen und Witwen und hat die Fremdlinge lieb, daß er ihnen Speise und Kleider gebe.
19And do you therefore love strangers, because you also were strangers in the land of Egypt.
19Darum sollt ihr auch die Fremdlinge lieben; denn ihr seid auch Fremdlinge gewesen in Ägyptenland.
20Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him only: to him thou shalt adhere, and shalt swear by his name.
20Den HERRN, deinen Gott, sollst du fürchten, ihm sollst du dienen, ihm sollst du anhangen und bei seinem Namen schwören.
21He is thy praise, and thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thy eyes have seen.
21Er ist dein Ruhm und dein Gott, der bei dir solche große und schreckliche Dinge getan hat, die deine Augen gesehen haben.
22In seventy souls thy fathers went down into Egypt: and behold now the Lord thy God hath multiplied thee as the stars of heaven.
22Deine Väter zogen hinab nach Ägypten mit siebzig Seelen; aber nun hat dich der HERR, dein Gott, gemehrt wie die Sterne am Himmel.
