Coptic New Testament
1I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom:
1ϯⲉⲣⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϯϩⲁⲡ ⳿ⲉⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ.
2Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine.
2ϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲓϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲕⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲁⲕⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲥⲟϩⲓ ⲙⲁⲑⲉⲧϩⲏⲧ ⲁⲣⲓⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ.
3For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears:
3ⲉϥ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩϣⲉⲡ ϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲟϫ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲕ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲩϧⲱϧ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁϣϫ.
4And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables.
4ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲫⲟⲛϩϥ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲁⲕⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲓ⳿ϣⲃⲱ.
5But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober.
5⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲣⲓⲛⲩⲙⲫⲓⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϣⲉⲡ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲁⲣⲓϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲡⲉⲕϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ϫⲟⲕϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
6For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand.
6⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲏⲇⲏ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲟⲩⲟⲑⲃⲉⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲡⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲃⲱⲗ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϧⲱⲛⲧ.
7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
7ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲱⲛ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲁⲓⲉⲣⲁⲅⲱⲛⲓⲍⲉⲥⲑⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲇⲣⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲕϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ ⲁⲓⲁⲣⲉϩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
8As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming. Make haste to come to me quickly.
8ⲗⲟⲓⲡⲟⲛ ⳿ϥⲭⲏ ⲛⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲭⲗⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲇⲓⲕⲉⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲛⲁⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥϯϩⲁⲡ ⳿ⲙⲙⲏⲓ ⲟⲩ ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲏⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲙⲉⲛⲣⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
9For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica:
9ⲓⲏⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧⲕ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲭⲱⲗⲉⲙ.
10Crescens into Galatia, Titus into Dalmatia.
10ⲇⲏⲙⲁⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁϥⲭⲁⲧ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⳿ⲉⲁϥⲙⲉⲛⲣⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲑⲉⲥⲥⲁⲗⲟⲛⲓⲕⲓⲁ ⳿ⲕⲣⲓⲥⲕⲏⲥ ⳿ⲉϯⲅⲁⲗⲁⲧⲓⲁ ⲧⲓⲧⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲇⲁⲗⲙⲁⲧⲓⲁ.
11Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
11ⲗⲟⲩⲕⲁⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲉⲑⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲕⲟⲥ ⲙⲁⲗⲟϥ ⲁⲛⲓⲧϥ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲕ ⳿ϥⲉⲣϣⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓⲁ.
12But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
12ⲧⲩⲭⲓⲕⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲉⲫⲉⲥⲟⲥ.
13The cloak that I left at Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, especially the parchments.
13ϯⲫⲩⲗⲟⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲓⲥⲟϫⲡⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲣⲱⲁⲥ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲕⲁⲣⲡⲱ ⲁⲛⲓⲧⲥ ⲉⲕⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲕⲉϫⲱⲙ ⲙⲁⲗⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲛ⳿ⲃⲣⲁⲛⲁ.
14Alexander the coppersmith hath done me much evil: the Lord will reward him according to his works:
14ⲁⲗⲉⲝⲁⲛⲇⲣⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲃⲉⲥⲛⲏⲧ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲉⲣⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ϯϣⲉⲃⲓⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲉϥ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ.
15Whom do thou also avoid, for he hath greatly withstood our words.
15ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲕ ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ.
16At my first answer no man stood with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge.
16ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁϩⲟⲩⲓϯ ⳿ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓⲁ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲭⲁ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲩⲭⲁⲧ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲱⲡ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ.
17But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching may be accomplished, and that all the Gentiles may hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
17Ⲡ⳪ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ ⲁϥ ϯϫⲟⲙ ⲛⲏⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲣⲱϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ.
18The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work: and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
18ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲧⲟⲩϫⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉϥⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲫⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲁⲙⲏⲛ.
19Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
19ϣⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲣⲓⲥⲕⲩⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲁⲕⲩⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲡⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲛⲏⲥⲓⲫⲟⲣⲟⲥ.
20Erastus remained at Corinth. And Trophimus I left sick at Miletus.
20ⲉⲣⲁⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲕⲟⲣⲓⲛⲑⲟⲥ ⳿ⲧⲣⲟⲫⲏ ⲙⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲥⲟϫⲡϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲙⲉⲗⲓⲧⲟⲥ ⲉϥϣⲱⲛⲓ.
21Make haste to come before winter Eubulus and Pudens, and Linus and Claudia, and all the brethren, salute thee.
21ⲓⲏⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓ ϧⲁϫⲉⲛ ϯ⳿ⲫⲣⲱ ⳿ϥϣⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲉⲩⲃⲟⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲇⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲕⲗⲁⲩⲇⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
22The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
22Ⲡ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉⲕⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑ ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲥϧⲏⲧⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲗⲁⲟⲇⲓⲕⲓⲁ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲟⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ
