World English Bible
1Paulus, Jesuni Christuni Apostel, ninaia Nulia karkana wonti Godaia jertapaterinali, ja Sosthenes ngatata,
1Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2Godaia mili wolarani, tana Korinthangu ngamala wapaia, tana kulikiri pantjinala Christungu Jesungu, matja karkanala kana kulikiri, tanangunto pratjanani jela, tanali ngaianani Kaparaia Jesuni Christuni tala karkai piri pratjanani, Nauja ngaianani ja tananani nganai:
2to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:
3Manju ja murla jurangunto nganaiatimai Goda ngaianani Ngaperandru ja Kapara Jesu Christungundru. (Dakani jaura G. D. 18 Trinitatis.)
3Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4Ngato Goda ngakani milingeru jurakokai jurangundru Godaia manjulandru, ninaia Nulia jurangu jinkinala Christungu Jesungu.
4I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,
5Jura pratjanani poto pirna pantjinala nunkangu, ngujangujara pratjanali ja ngujamana pratjanali;
5that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—
6Worderu Christuni tinkari ngankanali matja ngurunguru pantjina,
6even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you—
7Jeruja jura wata manjulaia poto kulnuni ngadani terkai, windri jura ngaiananaia Kaparaia Jesuni Christuni wondraterinaia kalkateriai,
7so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
8Nulupini bakana jurana ngurunguru ngankala nganai ditjini ngadalajelu, jeruja jura kalala panini nganala nganai ngaiananaia Kaparaia Jesuni Christuni ditjini.
8who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9Goda talku nganai, Nulia jurana matja karkana nunkanaia Ngatamuraia jela ngamanaia, Nauja Jesus Christus Kapara ngaianani nganai.
9God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
10Ngato jurana kurukurubai, ngatata worajai, ngaiananaia Kaparaia Jesuni Christuni talandru, jura jaura kulnukulnuni jatananto, ja wata jurangu puntibani nganananto, a‐ai, jura kulnukulnuni nganananto ngundranani ja ngujamanani.
10Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11Ngangau Chloeni nguralali ngakangu kaukaubana warai jurangundru, ngatata worajai, jurangu terti kaldri ngankijiribamalina parai.
11For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.
12Ngato jenia ngundrai, pilkipilki jura jatai: Kulnujeli: Ngani Pauluni; kulnujeli: Ngani Apolloni; kulnujeli: Ngani Kephasani; kulnujeli: Ngani Christuni mili nganai.
12Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”
13Christus pilki ja pilki nganai? Tanali Paulus jurangundru kunarkuni katibana wonti? Jura kara Pauluni talani multibanila manina wonti?
13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?
14Ngato Goda jurakokai, ngangau ngato wata kulno multibana wonti, windri Krispus ja Gajus;
14I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15Ngangau wata kulno jatananto, ngato ngakani talani multibana wonti.
15so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.
16Ngato bakana Stephanani pungala multibana wonti; morla ngani wata milkila, ngato kulno morla kara multibana wonti.
16(I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I baptized any other.)
17Ngangau Christulu ngana wata jinpana wonti multibala, a‐ai, ngantjani jaura kaukaubala; wata jaura kirieli, ngangau Christuni kunarku wata walto pantjinanto.
17For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Christ wouldn’t be made void.
18Ngangau kunarkuja jaura patipatila nganai tanangu, tana tintaterila nganai; ngaianingu, tana tepi pantjila nganai, Godaia ngurula.
18For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19Ngangau dakanala parai: „Ngato kana kiria kirila teribala nganai, ja ngujamanietjaia tjuru ngato worarala nganai.“
19For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”
20Wodajeri kana kiri? Wodajeri jaura jinkinietja? Wodajeri nunkanipini miljaraia kana kiri nganai? Wata Godali nunkanipini mitaia kiri patipatila karitjimalkana warai?
20Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21Ngangau mitalali nunkani kirieli Goda nunkani kirilani wata ngujamana warai, jeruja Godali ngantjana wonti ngujangujara patipatieli tanana kulkala, tanali morlalu ngundrai.
21For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.
22Ngangau Juda kanali malka ngatjiai ja bakana Grieka kanali kiri wontiai;
22For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,
23Jeruja ngaiani Christus kaukaubai, ninaia tanali kunarkuni katibana wonti, Juda kanani kintjakintjarinaia ja Grieka kanani patipatia.
23but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,
24Tanangu, tanana Nulia matja karkana, Juda kanani ja Grieka kanani, ngaiani Christus Godaia ngurula ja Godaia kirila kaukaubai.
24but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;
25Ngangau Godaia patipatila morla kiri nganai kanani; ja Godaia waltowaltula morla ngurunguru nganai kanani.
25because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26Najanau, jurani karkani, ngatata worajai, wata kana kiri marapu palkujeli, wata kana ngurunguru marapu, wata kana pirna marapu Nulia matja karkana;
26For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;
27A‐ai, patipati mitandru Godali kalkalkana warai, Nulia kana kiri nintali ngankananto; ja waltowalto mitandru Godali kalkalkana warai, Nulia kana ngurunguru nintali ngankananto;
27but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.
28Ja wakawaka mitandru ja ngirkibani Godali kalkalkana warai, ja mina panila nganai, ngangau Nulia panini ngankananto mina kantji nganai;
28God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,
29Ngangau wata palku kulno Godani jurakokaterinanto.
29that no flesh should boast before God.
30Nunkangundru bakana jura Christungu Jesungu nganai, ninaia Godali ngaianingu ngankana wonti kirilaia ja talkulaia, kulikirilaia ja kulkanilaia.
30Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
31Ngangau, worderu dakanala parai: „Worana jurakokateriai, Kaparani jurakokaterinanto.“
31that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
