1Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Loktang kang thuih o, thacakhaih hoiah angzo Sithaw prae hnu o ai karoek to, haeah angdoe thoemto kaminawk thungah duekhaih pataeng han ai kami to oh, tiah a naa.
1Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God arrive with power.”
2Ni tarukto pacoengah Jesu mah Piter, Jakob hoi Johan to hoih moe, maesang nuiah dawh haih, to ah angmacae bueng oh o: to naah nihcae hma ah krang amkhraih pae.
2After six days Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There He was transfigured before them.
3Anih ih kahni loe ni aengh baktiah ampha; long nuiah kaom tih hmuen mah doeh patah thai ai khoek to dantui kanglung baktiah anglung.
3His clothes became radiantly white, brighter than any launderer on earth could bleach them.
4Elijah hoi Mosi doeh nihcae hma ah amtueng pae: nihnik loe Jesu hoiah lok apaeh hoi.
4And Elijah and Moses appeared before them, talking with Jesus.
5Piter mah Jesu khaeah, Rabbi, aicae loe haeah oh han hoih: buk thumto sah o si; nang hanah maeto, Mosi hanah maeto, Elijah hanah maeto, tiah a naa.
5Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters —one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
6Nihcae loe zit o parai pongah, timaw thuih han, tito panoek o ai.
6For they were all so terrified that Peter did not know what else to say.
7To naah tamai mah nihcae to khuk khoep; tamai thung hoiah, Hae loe Ka palung duek ih Capa ah oh: a lok tahngai pae oh, tiah lok to angzoh.
7Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is My beloved Son. Listen to Him!”
8Nawnetta oh pacoengah nihcae mah a taeng bangah khet o, to naah angmacae hoi Jesu khue ai ah loe kalah mi doeh hnu o ai.
8Suddenly, when they looked around, they saw no one with them except Jesus.
9Nihcae mae nui hoi anghum o tathuk naah, kami Capa duekhaih hoi angthawk ai karoek to a hnuk o ih hmuennawk to mi kawbaktih khaeah doeh thuih han ai ah nihcae han lok a thuih pae.
9As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus admonished them not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10Nihcae mah to lok to pakuem o, duekhaih hoi angthawk lethaih, tiah thuih ih lok loe tih thuih koehhaih ih maw vai? tiah angmacae hoi angmacae lok angdueng o.
10So they kept this matter to themselves, discussing what it meant to rise from the dead.
11Nihcae mah anih khaeah, Tipongah ca tarik kaminawk mah loe Elijah angzo hmaloe tih, tiah thuih o loe? tiah a dueng o.
11And they asked Jesus, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
12Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Elijah angzo hmaloe ueloe, hmuennawk sah pakhrai boih tih; kami Capa loe paroeai patangkhang ueloe, pahnawt o sut tih, tiah tarik ih lok to oh.
12He replied, “Elijah does indeed come first, and he restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected?
13Toe kang thuih o, angmah kawng tarik ih baktih toengah Elijah loe angzoh boeh, toe nihcae mah a nuiah koeh thaithue hmuen to sak o, tiah a naa.
13But I tell you that Elijah has indeed come, and they have done to him whatever they wished, just as it is written about him.”
14A hnukbang kaminawk ohhaih ahmuen ah a phak naah, nihcae taengah kaom pop parai kaminawk to a hnuk, ca tarik kaminawk loe nihcae hoi lok angaek o.
14When they returned to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them.
15Kami boih mah anih to hnuk o naah, dawnrai o moe, anih dawt hanah cawnh o.
15As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were filled with awe and ran to greet Him.
16Anih mah ca tarik kaminawk khaeah tih lok maw nihcae khaeah na dueng o? tiah a naa.
16“What are you disputing with them?” He asked.
17To naah paroeai kaminawk thung ih kami maeto mah, Patukkung, taqawk mah naeh ih lokaa, ka capa nang khaeah kang zoh haih;
17Someone in the crowd replied, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a spirit that makes him mute.
18taqawk mah anih to naeh kruek, long ah amtimh moe, pakha thung hoiah tamtui poep to tacawt, haa a kaek moe, ngan kana baktiah ngan to a zaek pae: taqawk haek pae hanah na hnukbang kaminawk khaeah ka thuih pae, toe nihcae mah haek o thai ai, tiah a naa.
18Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked Your disciples to drive it out, but they were unable.”
19Jesu mah to kami khaeah, Tanghaih tawn ai kaminawk, nasetto maw nangcae khaeah ka oh moe, nasetto maw kang moek o han vop? Nawkta to kai khaeah na hoi oh, tiah a naa.
19“O unbelieving generation!” Jesus replied. “How long must I remain with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to Me.”
20Nawkta to anih khaeah hoih o: taqawk mah Anih to hnuk naah, nawkta loe long ah amtimh; pakha hoi tamtui poep to tacawt moe, long ah amlet.
20So they brought him, and seeing Jesus, the spirit immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
21Anih mah nawkta ih ampa khaeah, Saning nazetto maw hae tiah oh boeh, tiah a dueng. Ampa mah nawkta nathuem hoiah oh boeh, tiah a naa.
21Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has this been with him?” “From childhood,” he said.
22Anih to paduek hanah hmai thungah doeh, tui thungah doeh, vaihi hoi vaihi a vah: toe na sak thaih nahaeloe tahmenhaih hoiah na bomh ah, tiah a naa.
22“It often throws him into the fire or into the water, trying to kill him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
23Jesu mah anih khaeah, Na tang thaih nahaeloe, tang kami hanah hmuennawk boih angcoeng thaih, tiah a naa.
23“If You can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!”
24Nawkta ih ampa mah, Angraeng, ka tang hmang, tang ai ah ka oh han ai ah na bom ah, tiah mikkhraetui hoiah a lok to pathim pae phrat.
24Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”
25To hmuen khet hanah nawnto kacawn kaminawk Jesu mah hnuk naah, Taqawk sae to a zoeh, anih khaeah, Naa pangsak moe, lok aasak taqawk, lok kang paek, nawkta takoh thung hoiah tacawt ah loe, natuek naah doeh akun let hmah lai ah, tiah a naa.
25When Jesus saw that a crowd had come running, He rebuked the unclean spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” He said, “I command you to come out and never enter him again.”
26Taqawk loe hangh moe, nawkta to asoek pacoengah, anih thung hoiah tacawt: nawkta loe kadueh baktiah oh sut; kaminawk mah loe a duek boeh, tiah poek o.
26After shrieking and convulsing him violently, the spirit came out. The boy became like a corpse, so that many said, “He is dead.”
27Toe Jesu mah anih to ban ah patawnh moe, pathawk tahang; to naah nawkta loe angdoet tahang.
27But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.
28Anih imthung ah akun naah, a hnukbang kaminawk mah tamquta hoiah tipongah kaicae mah loe ka haek o thai ai loe? tiah a dueng o.
28After Jesus had gone into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
29Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Hae baktih hmuen loe lawkthuihaih hoi buhzah haih ai ah loe tacawt thai ai, tiah a naa.
29Jesus answered, “This kind cannot come out, except by prayer.”
30To ahmuen hoiah tacawt o moe, Kalili prae thungah caeh o; anih mah to tiah kaom hmuen to minawk panoeksak han koeh ai.
30Going on from there, they passed through Galilee. But Jesus did not want anyone to know,
31A hnukbang kaminawk to hae tiah patuk, nihcae khaeah, Kami Capa to minawk ban ah paek o ueloe, anih to hum o tih; anih loe hum o pacoeng, ni thumto naah angthawk let tih, tiah a naa.
31because He was teaching His disciples. He told them, “The Son of Man will be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after three days He will rise.”
32Toe anih thuih koehhaih to nihcae mah panoek o thai ai, dueng hanah doeh zit o.
32But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him about it.
33Anih loe Kapernuam vangpui ah angzoh: imthung ah oh o naah, anih mah a hnukbang kaminawk to lok a dueng, Loklam ah tih lok maw nang aek o? tiah a naa.
33Then they came to Capernaum. While Jesus was in the house, He asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”
34Loklam ah angmacae hoi angmacaea mi maw kalen koek ah om tih, tiah lok angaek o pongah, nihcae loe anghngai o duem.
34But they were silent, for on the way they had been arguing about which of them was the greatest.
35Anih loe anghnut moe, hatlai hnettonawk to kawk, nihcae khaeah, Mi kawbaktih doeh hmaloe ah oh koeh kami loe, hnukkhuem koek ah oh moe, kami boih ih tamna ah oh han oh, tiah a naa.
35Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be the last of all and the servant of all.”
36Nawkta maeto a lak moe, nihcae salakah angdoetsak: nawkta to tapom moe, nihcae khaeah,
36Then He had a little child stand among them. Taking the child in His arms, He said to them,
37mi kawbaktih doeh hae nawktanawk thung ih nawkta maeto hae kai ih ahmin hoiah talawk kami loe, kai talawk kami ah ni oh: mi kawbaktih doeh kai talawk kami loe, kai to talawk ai, kai patoehkung talawk kami ah ni oh, tiah a naa.
37“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My name welcomes Me, and whoever welcomes Me welcomes not only Me, but the One who sent Me.”
38Johan mah anih khaeah, Patukkung, na hmin hoiah taqawk haek kami maeto ka hnuk o, anih loe aicae hnukbang kami na ai ni: anih loe aicae hnukah bang ai pongah, ka pakaa pae o, tiah a naa.
38John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone else driving out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not accompany us.”
39Jesu mah, Pakaa o hmah, kai ih ahmin hoiah dawnrai hmuen sah kami mah loe, kazoi daek ah kai ih ahmin to kasae thui mak ai.
39“Do not stop him,” Jesus replied. “For no one who performs a miracle in My name can turn around and speak evil of Me.
40Aicae nuiah kasae sah ai kami loe aicae ih kami ah ni oh.
40For whoever is not against us is for us.
41Loktang kang thuih o, Kri kami ah na oh o pongah, kai hmin hoiah tui boengloeng maeto paek kami loe, loktang kang thuih o, a hnuk han koi tangqum to hnu ai ah om mak ai.
41Indeed, if anyone gives you even a cup of water because you bear the name of Christ, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.
42Mi kawbaktih doeh kai tanghaih tawn hae nawktanawk thung ih nawkta maeto hanah zaehaih sahsak kami loe, cangkaehhaih thlung tahnong ah a oihsak moe, tuipui thungah vah nahaeloe hoih kue tih.
42But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.
43Na ban mah na zaesak nahaeloe, takroek pat ah: ban hnetto koep ah dueh thai ai, hell hmai thungah caeh pongah loe, ban koep ai ah hinghaih thungah akun to nang hanah hoih kue:

47And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,

50Salt is good, but if the salt loses its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
