1Aw Jakob imthung takoh, Israel ahmin hoiah kawk ih kami, Judah tuipuek hoiah tacawt kami, Angraeng ih ahmin hoi lokkamhaih to a sak o, toe toenghaih hoi loktang hoiah Israel Sithaw ih ahmin palawk ai kaminawk,
1Hear ye these things, O house of Jacob, you that are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Juda, you who swear by the name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in justice.
2nihcae loe angmacae hoi angmacae to ciimcai vangpui ih kami, tiah poek o moe, misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng, tiah ahmin kaom Israel Sithaw nuiah amha kaminawk, tahngai oh,
2For they are called of the holy city, and are established upon the God of Israel: the Lord of hosts is his name.
3hmaloe ah kaom hmuennawk to tangsuek na hoiah kang thuih o boeh; to hmuennawk loe ka pakha thung hoiah tacawt moe, nihcae han ka hnuksak boeh; ka thuih ih lok baktiah to hmuennawk to ka ohsak.
3The former things of old I have declared, and they went forth out of my mouth, and I have made them to be heard: I did them suddenly and they came to pass.
4Palung na thah o haih to ka panoek, nangcae ih tahnong thaquinawk loe sum ah oh moe, na lupataehnawk doeh sumkamling ah oh;
4For I knew that thou art stubborn, and thy neck is as an iron sinew, and thy forehead as brass.
5to pongah hae hmuennawk hae canghnii hoiah ni kang thuih o boeh; ka bok ih krangnawk mah ni hae hmuennawk hae sak; thing hoiah sak ih krangnawk, ka sak ih krangnawk mah ni, hae hmuennawk hae caksak, tiah na thuih o han ai ah to hmuennawk om ai nathuem hoi boeh ni nangcae khaeah kang thuih o.
5I foretold thee of old, before they came to pass I told thee, lest thou shouldst say: My idols have done these things, and my graven and molten things have commanded them.
6Hae hmuen hae na thaih o moe, na hnuk o boeh; to hmuennawk to na thui o mak ai maw? Vaihi hoi kamtong kanghawk hmuen, kangtha hmuennawk hoi na panoek o ai ih hmuennawk to nangcae hanah kang panoek o sak boeh.
6See now all the things which thou hast heard: but have you declared them? I have shewn thee new things from that time, and things are kept which thou knowest not:
7To baktih hmuennawk loe vaihiah sak boeh, canghnii hoiah sak ih hmuen na ai ni; vaihni ni khoek to nangcae mah na thaih o kop ai vop; to tih ai nahaeloe khenah, to hmuennawk loe ka panoek o boeh, tiah na thui o moeng tih.
7They are created now, and not of old: and before the day, when thou heardest them not, lest thou shouldst say: Behold I knew them.
8Ue, canghnii ah loe na naa to akhaw ai, to pongah na thaih vai ai, panoek doeh na panoek vai ai; nang loe alinghaih hoiah kho na sah ueloe, tapen tangsuek nathuem hoi lokaek thaih kami, tiah kawk tih, tito ka panoek boeh.
8Thou hast neither heard, nor known, neither was thy ear opened of old. For I know that transgressing thou wilt transgress, and I have called thee a transgressor from the womb.
9Nang hae takhoe ving han ai ah, kaimah ih ahmin hoiah palungphuihaih to ka dipsak moe, kaimah hae pakoeh ah oh thai hanah, nang kawng pongah kang sumh han.
9For my name’s sake I will remove my wrath far off: and for my praise I will bridle thee, lest thou shouldst perish.
10Khenah, ciim thai hanah kang zoek boeh, sumkanglung zoek ih baktih na ai, patangkhanghaih hmaipalai hoiah nang to kang tanoek.
10Behold I have refined thee, but not as silver, I have chosen thee in the furnace of poverty.
11Kaimah hanah, kaimah han roe ah ka sak han vop; kawbangmaw kai ih ahmin kasae thuihaih to om tih? Ka lensawkhaih to minawk khaeah ka paek mak ai.
11For my own sake, for my own sake will I do it, that I may not be blasphemed: and I will not give my glory to another.
12Aw Jakob, ka kawk ih Israel, ka lok hae tahngai ah; Kai loe anih to boeh ni; Kai loe hmaloe koek hoi hnukkhuem koekah ka oh.
12Hearken to me, O Jacob, and thou Israel whom I call: I am he, I am the first, and I am the last.
13Long loe kaimah ni ban hoiah ka sak, ka bantang ban hoiah van to ka payuengh; to hmuennawk to ka kawk naah nawnto angdoet o.
13My hand also hath founded the earth, and my right hand hath measured the heavens: I shall call them, and they shall stand together.
14Nangcae boih, maeto ah angzo oh loe tahngai oh; canghnii hoiah hae hmuen kawng thui kami nangcae khaeah oh maw? Angraeng koehhaih baktiah Babylon nuiah sah tih, a ban doeh Khaldian kaminawk nuiah krahsak tih.
14Assemble yourselves together, all you, and hear: who among them hath declared these things? the Lord hath loved him, he will do his pleasure in Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
15Kai, kaimah khaeh mah lok ka thuih boeh; ue, anih to ka kawk boeh; anih to kang hoih boeh, a caehhaih loklam to anih mah hmacawnsak tih.
15I, even I have spoken and called him: I have brought him, and his way is made prosperous.
16Kai khaeah anghnai oh loe, hae lok hae tahngai oh; tangsuek na hoi tamquta ah lok kang thui o vai ai; kai loe to hmuen oh tangsuek nathuem hoi boeh ni ka oh; vaihi Angraeng Sithaw hoi angmah ih Muithla mah kai hae ang patoeh.
16Come ye near unto me, and hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning: from the time before it was done, I was there, and now the Lord God hath sent me, and his spirit.
17Nangcae akrangkung, Angraeng, Ciimcai Israel Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih; anih loe na caeh han ih loklam ah zaehoikung Sithaw ah oh moe, atho hnuk hanah anih mah ang patuk.
17Thus saith the Lord thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord thy God that teach thee profitable things, that govern thee in the way that thou walkest.
18Ka thuih ih lok hae mah tahngai oh, to tih nahaeloe na monghaih loe vapui baktiah om ueloe, na toenghaih loe tuipui thung ih tuiphu baktiah om tih.
18O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments: thy peace had been as a river, and thy justice as the waves of the sea,
19Nang ih acaengnawk loe savuet baktiah om o ueloe, na caanawk doeh kroeklaek ai thlung caret baktiah om o tih; anih ih ahmin loe anghmaa mak ai, ka hmaa hoiah doeh phrae mak ai.
19And thy seed had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof: his name should not have perished, nor have been destroyed from before my face.
20Babylon vangpui thung hoiah tacawt oh; anghoe laasakhaih hoiah Khaldian prae to cawn o taak ah; long boenghaih khoek to hae tamthang hae taphong oh; Angraeng mah angmah ih tamna Jakob to akrang boeh, tiah thui oh.
20Come forth out of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, declare it with the voice of joy: make this to be heard, and speak it out even to the ends of the earth. Say: The Lord hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
21Anngraeng mah praezaek ahmuen hoiah nihcae zaehhoih naah tui anghae o ai; nihcae han lungsong thung hoiah tui to tacawtsak; anih mah tui tacawt hanah lungsong to pakhoih.
21They thirsted not in the desert, when he led them out: he brought forth water out of the rock for them, and he clove the rock, and the waters gushed out.
22Kasae kaminawk hanah monghaih om ai, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
22There is no peace to the wicked, saith the Lord.
