Berean Standard Bible
1To pongah a thaih o ih lok to pahnet han ai ah, palung paek moe, kahoihah pakuem han angaih, to tih ai nahaeloe anghma ving moeng tih.
1We must pay closer attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.
2Van kaminawk patohhaih hoiah thuih ih lok loe cak, lok angaek kaminawk hoi lok tahngai ai kaminawk boih loe katoeng lokcaekhaih to hnuk o;
2For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every transgression and disobedience received its just punishment,
3hae tih khoek to kalen pahlonghaih hae a pahnawt padah o nahaeloe, kawbangmaw lokcaekhaih thung hoiah a loih o thai tih? To pahlonghaih lok loe Angraeng mah thuih hmaloe moe, Anih mah thuih ih lok thaih kaminawk mah aicae hanah ang cak o sak.
3how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,
4Angmathaih hoi dawnrai koi kaom hmuennawk sakhaih hoiah a thuih ih lok loe toeng, tiah Sithaw mah amtuengsak; a koeh baktiah congca dawnrai koi kaom hmuennawk hoi Kacai Muithla tangqumnawk to a paek.
4and was affirmed by God through signs, wonders, various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.
5Aicae mah thuih ih kaom han koi long to Sithaw mah van kaminawk khaeah paek ai.
5For it is not to angels that He has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.
6Toe cabu ahmuen maeto thungah loe Sithaw khaeah, Kami loe kawbangah maw oh moe, anih hanah kho na khan pae? To tih ai boeh loe kami capa loe kawbangah maw oh moe, na khetzawn?
6But somewhere it is testified in these words: “What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him?
7Anih to van kaminawk pong kahnaem kueah na sak, anih to lensawkhaih hoi pakoehhaih hoiah na muek moe, na ban hoi sak ih hmuennawk to na uksak:
7You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor
8hmuennawk boih a khok tlim ah na suek, tiah thuih ih lok to oh. Hmuennawk boih anih tlim ah suek baktih toengah, anih tlim ah suek ai ih hmuen tidoeh om ai. Toe hmuennawk boih anih tlim ah suek boeh, tito vaihi a hnu o ai vop.
8and placed everything under his feet.” When God subjected all things to him, He left nothing outside of his control. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.
9Toe Jesu loe van kaminawk pongah kahnaem kueah sak, tito a panoek o. Sithaw tahmenhaih pongah Jesu loe kaminawk boih hanah duek. Anih loe patangkhanghaih hoiah duek moe, lensawkhaih hoi pakoehhaih sui lumuek to angmuek.
9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
10Hmuennawk boih Sithaw ih ni, hmuennawk boih loe Anih han ih ni oh, Anih rang hoiah ni hmuennawk boih to oh. Jesu patangkhanghaih rang hoiah nihcae pahlonghaih akoep sak thai hanah, Jesu mah pop parai Sithaw capanawk to lensawkhaih thungah hoih.
10In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.
11Anih mah ciimsak ih kaminawk hoi ciimcai sak han kaom kaminawk loe maeto ah ni oh o: to pongah anih mah to kaminawk to Nawkamyanawk, tiah kawk han azat ai,
11For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
12na hmin to kam nawkamyanawk khaeah ka thuih moe, rangpui kaminawk hma ah laasakhaih hoiah nang kang pakoeh han, tiah a thuih.
12He says: “I will proclaim Your name to My brothers; I will sing Your praises in the assembly.”
13To pacoengah, Anih to kang oep haih han, tiah a thuih let. Khenah, kai loe Sithaw mah paek ih ka caanawk hoi nawnto haeah ka oh, tiah a thuih let bae.
13And again: “I will put My trust in Him.” And once again: “Here am I, and the children God has given Me.”
14Anih ih caa ah kaom aicae loe taksa hoi athii ah oh o pongah, Kri loe aicae baktiah taksa ah angcoeng, Anih duekhaih rang hoiah tha kacak duekhaih omsakkung, taqawk sae to amrosak moe,
14Now since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil,
15duekhaih zit pongah hing thung misong ah kaom kaminawk to a loisak.
15and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
16Anih mah van kaminawk to abomh ai; Abraham ih atiinawk to ni abomh.
16For surely it is not the angels He helps, but the descendants of Abraham.
17To pongah minawk nuiah palungnathaih katawn, oep kathok kalen koek qaima ah oh moe, kaminawk ih zae tahmenhaih toksak thai hanah, anih loe hmuenawk boih ah angmah ih nawkamyanawk baktih toengah oh han angaih.
17For this reason He had to be made like His brothers in every way, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people.
18Jesu angmah roe patangkhang moe, pacuekhaih to tongh boeh pongah, Anih mah pacuekhaih tong kaminawk to abom thaih.
18Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.
