1To pacoengah kam laem o moe, Bashan bangah ka caeh o; to naah Bashan siangpaharng Og doeh, aicae tuk hanah angmah ih misatuh kaminawk hoi Edrei ahmuen ah angzoh.
1Then we turned and went by the way of Basan: and Og the king of Basan came out to meet us with his people to fight in Edrai.
2Angraeng mah kai khaeah, Anih to zii hmah; anih hoi angmah ih kaminawk boih hoiah nawnto, a prae to na ban ah kang paek boeh; Heshbon vangpui ah kaom Amor kaminawk ih siangpahrang Sihon khaeah na sak ih baktih toengah, anih khaeah doeh sah ah, tiah ang naa.
2And the Lord said to me: Fear him not: because he is delivered into thy hand, with all his people and his land: and thou shalt do to him as thou hast done to Sehon king of the Amorrhites, that dwelt in Hesebon.
3To pongah aicae Angraeng Sithaw mah, Bashan siangpahrang Og hoi anih ih kaminawk to aicae ban ah paek; anih ih kaminawk maeto doeh anghmat ai ah, a hum o boih.
3So the Lord our God delivered into our hands, Og also the king of Basan, and all his people: and we utterly destroyed them,
4To naah anih ih vangpuinawk to a lak pae o boih; Argob prae, Bashan siangpahrang Og ukkhaih prae thung ih, vangpui qui tarukto thungah aicae mah lak ai ih anghmat vangpui maeto doeh om ai.
4Wasting all his cities at one time, there was not a town that escaped us: sixty cities, all the country of Argob the kingdom of Og in Basan.
5Hae avangnawk boih loe sipae kasang ah thungh ih vangpui, khongkha hoi khongkha takraenghaih kaom, kacak vangpui ah oh o; sipae kaom ai kalah vangpuinawk doeh oh mangh vop.
5All the cities were fenced with very high walls, and with gates and bars, besides innumerable towns that had no walls.
6Aicae mah Heshbon siangpahrang Sihon khaeah a sak o ih baktih toengah, vangpui kruekah kaom, nongpa, nongpata hoi nawktanawk to a hum o.
6And we utterly destroyed them, as we had done to Sehon the king of Hesebon, destroying every city, men and women and children:
7Toe vangpui thung ih maitawnawk hoi hmuenmaennawk loe aimacae hanah a lak o boih.
7But the cattle and the spoils of the cities we took for our prey.
8To pongah, Arnon vapui hoi kamtong Hermon mae karoek to, Jordan vapui ni angyae bangah kaom prae to, Amor siangpahrang hnetto ban thung hoiah a lak pae o;
8And we took at that time the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorrhites, that were beyond the Jordan: from the torrent Amen unto the mount Hermon,
9Sidon kaminawk mah Hermon to Sirion, tiah kawk o moe, Amor kaminawk mah loe Shenir, tiah kawk o;
9Which the Sidonians call Sarion, and the Amorrhites Sanir:
10azawn ah kaom vangpuinawk boih, Gilead prae boih, Bashan prae boih, Salkah hoi Edrei vangpui karoek to, Bashan siangpahrang Og ih prae to a lak pae o boih.
10All the cities that are situate in the plain, and all the land of Galaad and Basan as far as Selcha and Edrai, cities of the kingdom of Og in Basan.
11Bashan siangpahrang Og khue ni, kanghmat kalen parai kami ah oh; khenah, anih iihhaih ihkhun loe sum hoiah a sak; to iihkhun loe Ammon kaminawk ih vangpui Rabbah ah oh; kami ih dong tahhaih baktiah loe dong takawtto sawk moe, dong palito kawk.
11For only Og king of Basan remained of the race of the giants. His bed of iron is shewn, which is in Rabbath of the children of Ammon, being nine cubits long, and four broad after the measure of the cubit of a man’s hand.
12To nathuem ah a lak o ih prae loe, Arnon vapui taengah kaom, Aroer vangpui hoi kamtong Gilead mae ahap loe vangpuinawk hoi nawnto ah Reuben kaminawk hoi Gad kaminawk khaeah ka paek.
12And we possessed the land at that time from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the torrent Amen, unto the half of mount Galaad: and I gave the cities thereof to Ruben and Gad.
13Gilead prae kamtlai hoi Bashan siangpahrang Og ih prae boih, ahap Manasseh acaengnawk khaeah ka paek; Bashan prae thungah kaom, Argob prae boih loe, kalen parai kaminawk ih prae ah oh, tiah a thuih o.
13And I delivered the other part of Galaad, and all Basan the kingdom of Og to the half tribe of Manasses, all the country of Argob: and all Basan is called the Land of giants.
14Manasseh ih caa Jair mah, Argob prae boih, Geshur hoi Maakath prae khoek to lak; to ahmuen to angmah ih ahmin to a paek; to pongah vaihni ni khoek to Bashan-Havoth-Jair, tiah kawk o.
14Jair the son of Manasses possessed all the country of Argob unto the borders of Gessuri, and Machati. And he called Basan by his own name, Havoth Jair, that is to say, the towns of Jair, until this present day.
15To pacoengah Gilead to Makir hanah ka paek.
15To Machir also I gave Galaad.
16Toe prae to Gilead vangpui hoi Arnon vapui um karoek to, Ammon kaminawk ih ramri Jabbok vangpui karoek to,
16And to the tribes of Ruben and Gad I gave of the land of Galaad as far as the torrent Amen, half the torrent, and the confines even unto the torrent Jeboc, which is the border of the children of Ammon:
17azawn hoi Jordan vapui taeng boih, Kinnereth ahmuen hoi azawn ih tuipui pacoengah, ni angyae bangah kaom Ashdoth-Pisgah vangpui karoek to Reuben kaminawk hoi Gad kaminawk hanah ka paek.
17And the plain of the wilderness, and the Jordan, and the borders of Cenereth unto the sea of the desert, which is the most salt sea, to the foot of mount Phasga eastward.
18To nathuem ah nangcae khaeah hae tiah lok kang thuih o; na Angraeng Sithaw mah hae prae hae toep hanah nangcae khaeah paek boeh; toe misatuh thaih kaminawk boih, maiphaw to sin oh loe, nam nawkamya Israel kaminawk hma ah caeh oh.
18And I commanded you at that time, saying: The Lord your God giveth you this land for an inheritance, go ye well appointed before your brethren the children of Israel, all the strong men of you,
19Toe na zunawk, na caanawk hoi maitawnawk loe, kang paek o ih vangpuinawk ah suem oh; nangcae loe maitaw na tawnh o mang, tiah ka panoek.
19Leaving your wives and children and cattle. For I know you have much cattle, and they must remain in the cities, which I have delivered to you.
20Angraeng mah nam nawkamya hoi nangcae hanah misa amdinghaih to paek baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah nihcae han paek ih Jordan vapui zaeh ih prae to nihcae mah toep o ai karoek to, hmabang ah caeh oh; to pacoengah ni kami boih kai mah qawk ah kang paek o ih prae ah nam laem o thai vop tih, tiah kang thuih o.
20Until the Lord give rest to your brethren, as he hath given to you: and they also possess the land, which he will give them beyond the Jordan: then shall every man return to his possession, which I have given you.
21To naah kai mah Joshua khaeah, Hae siangpahrang hnik nuiah Angraeng mah sak ih hmuen to na hnuk o boih boeh; na caeh o haih prae boih ah doeh Angraeng mah to tiah ni sah tih.
21I commanded Josue also at that time, saying: Thy eyes have seen what the Lord your God hath done to these two kings: so will he do to all the kingdoms to which thou shalt pass.
22Nihcae to zii hmah; na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae han misa na tuh pae tih hmang, tiah ka naa.
22Fear them not: for the Lord your God will fight for you.
23To naah Angraeng khaeah tahmenhaih ka hnik;
23And I besought the Lord at that time, saying:
24Aw, Angraeng Sithaw, na lenhaih hoi na ban thacakhaih loe na tamna khaeah nam tuengsak boeh; na thacakhaih hoi na sak ih dawnrai hmuen baktih toengah van hoi long ah kawbaktih sithaw mah maw sah thai tih?
24Lord God, thou hast begun to shew unto thy servant thy greatness, and most mighty hand, for there is no other God either in heaven or earth, that is able to do thy works, or to be compared to thy strength.
25Jordan vapui zaeh ah nang katsak ah loe, Jordan vapui zaeh ih kahoih prae, mae kahoih hoi Lebanon to na hnusak ah, tiah ka hnik.
25I will pass over therefore, and will see this excellent land beyond the Jordan, and this goodly mountain, and Libanus.
26Toe Angraeng loe nangcae pongah ka nuiah palungphui moe, ka lok to na tahngai pae ai; Angraeng mah, Khawt boeh; kai khaeah hae kawng thui hmah lai ah.
26And the Lord was angry with me on your account and heard me not, but said to me: It is enough: speak no more to me of this matter.
27Pisgah mae nuiah daw tahang ah loe, ni angyae, niduem, aluek hoi aloih bangah dan ah; Jordan vapui nang kaat mak ai boeh pongah, na mik hoiah to prae to dan ah.
27Go up to the top of Phasga, and cast thy eyes round about to the west, and to the north, and to the south, and to the east, and behold it, for thou shalt not pass this Jordan.
28Toe Joshua to patoeh ah loe, misahoih hanah thapaek ah; anih loe hae kaminawk hmaa ah caeh tih, na danh ih prae to anih mah toep tih, tiah ang naa.
28Command Josue, and encourage and strengthen him: for he shall go before this people, and shall divide unto them the land which thou shalt see.
29To pongah aicae loe Beth-Poer vangpui zaeh ih azawn ah a oh o.
29And we abode in the valley over against the temple of Phogor.
