King James Version with Apocrypha
1Pentecost ni phak naah loe, nihcae boih ahmuen maeto ah poekhaih maeto hoiah oh o.
1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2Poek ai pui ah thacak takhi baktiah van hoiah lok angzoh moe, nihcae anghnuthaih imthung to koi boih.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3To naah kangqong hmai baktiah kaom, kangphae palai to nihcae khaeah amtueng pae moe, toah kaom kami maeto khae boih nuiah oh.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4To naah nihcae boih Kacai Muithla hoi koi o moe, Muithla mah paek ih lok baktih toengah, nihcae mah kalah loknawk to apaeh o.
4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5To naah van tlim ah kaom acaeng kaminawk boih thungah, sithaw kazom, Judahnawk Jerusalem ah oh o.
5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6to tiah lok angzoh naah, pop parai kaminawk loe nawnto amkhueng o, nihcae mah apaeh ih lok to angmah ih lok baktih toengah thaih o pongah, dawnrai o.
6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7Nihcae boih dawnrai o moe, poek anghmang o sut, Khenah, hae kaminawk loe Kalili lok na ai maw apaeh o boih?
7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans?
8Kawbangmaw aimacae ih lok baktih toengah, a thaih o boih halat?
8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9Aicae loe Parthia, Media, Elam prae ah kaom kami; Mesopotamia, Judea, Kapadocia, Pontus hoi Asia,
9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10Phrygia, Pamphylia, Izip hoi Libya prae Cyrene vangpui taeng ih kami; Rom ih angvinnawk, Judahnawk hoi Judah bokhaih thungah akun kaminawk,
10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11Crete hoi Arab kami ah a oh o, toe Sithaw mah sak ih dawnrai hmuen to aimacae ih lok baktih toengah a thaih o, tiah nihcae mah maeto hoi maeto thuih o.
11Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12Nihcae boih dawnrai o moe, poek anghmang o sut, hae hmuen loe tih thuih koehhaih ih maw vai? tiah maeto hoi maeto angdueng o.
12And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13To naah kalah kaminawk mah, Hae kaminawk loe kangtha misurtui ni zok koiah naek o, tiah pahnui o thuih.
13Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
14Toe Piter loe kami hatlaito hoi nawnto angdoet moe, nihcae khaeah, Judah kami hoi Jerusalem ah kaom kaminawk, hae hae panoek oh, ka thuih ih loknawk hae tahngai oh, tiah tha hoi lok a thuih:
14¶ But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judæa, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15na poek o ih baktiah, hae kaminawk loe mu paquih o ai, vaihi loe akhawn bang atue thumto ni oh vop.
15For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16Hae loe tahmaa Joel mah,
16But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17Hnukkhuem niah loe, Sithaw mah, kaminawk boih nuiah Ka Muithla to ka kraih han, na capa hoi canunawk mah lok to taphong o tih, nangcae ih thendoengnawk mah hnuksakhaih to hnu o ueloe, mitongnawk mah amang to sah o tih:
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18to na niah loe ka tamna nongpa hoi nongpatanawk nuiah Ka Muithla to ka kraih han; nihcae mah lok to taphong o tih:
18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19van ranui ah dawnrai hmuen to kam tuengsak moe, long tlim ah athii, hmai hoi hmaikhuenawk to angmathaih ah kam tuengsak han:
19And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20lensawk moe, dawnrai koi kaom Angraeng ih ni pha ai naah, Ni to khoving ah angcoeng ueloe, khrah to athii ah angcoeng tih:
20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21to naah mi kawbaktih doeh Angraeng ih ahmin kawk kami loe pahlonghaih hnu tih, tiah thuih ih lok to oh.
21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22Israel kaminawk, hae loknawk hae tahngai oh; Sithaw mah Nazareth Jesu nangcae khaeah patoeh pongah, Anih rang hoiah Sithaw mah dawnrai hmuen, anghmang thok hmuen hoi angmathaih hmuennawk to ang sak pae o boeh, tito na panoek o:
22Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23Sithaw mah panoek coek moe, khokhan tangcae baktih toengah, Anih to na naeh o moe, kami zae ban hoiah thinglam pongah takhing pacoeng ah, na hum o:
23Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24toe Anih loe Sithaw mah duekhaih thung hoiah loihsak moe, hing hanah pathawk let boeh: duekhaih mah Anih to patawn caeng thai ai.
24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25David mah Anih kawng to, Ka hmaa ah Angraeng to ka hnuk toepsoep, ka bantang bangah anih to oh pongah, ka tasoeh mak ai:
25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26to pongah ka palung loe anghoe moe, ka palai mah kawnhaih to tawnh; ka takpum doeh oephaih hoiah om tih:
26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27ka hinghaih pakhra hell thungah Nang caehtaak mak ai, nangmah ih kaciim kami to na qongsak mak ai.
27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28Hinghaih loklam to nang panoeksak; Na hmaa ah anghoehaih hoiah nang koisak tih, tiah thuih.
28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29Nawkamyanawk, aicae ampa David loe duek moe, aphum o boeh, tito kamnoek ah thuih han ka koeh, anih ih taprong loe vaihni ni khoek to aicae khaeah oh.
29Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30Toe David loe tahmaa ah oh pongah, taksa ah oh baktih toengah, anih ih angraeng tangkhang nuiah anghnutsak hanah, angmah ih acaeng thung hoiah, Anih mah Kri to pathawk tih, tiah Sithaw mah David khaeah lokkamhaih sak boeh, tito anih mah panoek.
30Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31David mah hae tiah kaom han koi hmuen to panoek coek boeh pongah, a hinghaih Pakhra loe hell thungah caehtaak mak ai, a takpum doeh qong mak ai, tiah Kri angthawk lethaih kawng to a thuih.
31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32Aicae loe Sithaw mah Jesu pathawk let boeh, tiah hnukung ah oh o.
32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33Anih loe pakoehhaih hoiah Sithaw bantang bangah oh moe, Ampa mah lokkamhaih Kacai Muithla to hnuk boeh pongah, anih mah paek ih hae hmuen hae vaihi na hnuk o moe, na thaih o boeh.
33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34David loe van ah daw tahang ai: toe anih mah, Angraeng mah kai ih Angraeng khaeah, na misanawk to na khokkoenghaih ahmuen ah ka sah ai karoek to, ka bantang bangah anghnu ah, tiah a naa, tiah thuih.
34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

36To pongah Israel imthung takoh boih mah hae hae kahoihah panoek o nasoe, thinglam pongah na takhing o ih, Jesu loe Sithaw mah Angraeng hoi Kri ah ohsak boeh, tiah a naa.
36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37Nihcae mah to lok to thaih o naah, nihcae ih palung to thunh pae pongah, Piter hoi patoeh ih kaminawk khaeah, Kaminawk hoi nawkamyanawk, Kawbangmaw ka tih o han boeh? tiah lok a dueng o.
37¶ Now when they heard this , they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38Piter mah nihcae khaeah, Zaehaih dawnpakhuem oh loe, zae tahmenhaih hnuk hanah, Jesu Kri ih ahmin hoiah tuinuem o boih ah, Kacai Muithla ih tangqum to na hnu o tih.
38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39Lokkamhaih loe nangmacae han ih, na caanawk han ih, kangthla ah kaom kaminawk hoi aicae Angraeng Sithaw mah kawk hanah kaom kaminawk boih han ih ni, tiah a naa.
39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40Hae lam amkhraeng kaminawk thung hoiah nangmacae hoi nangmacae amhlong oh, tiah anih mah kalah paroeai thapaekhaih loknawk to thuih pae.
40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41Oephaih hoiah anih ih lok talawk kaminawk loe tuinuemhaih to hnuk o, to na niah tang kaminawk sangthumto nihcae khaeah angpaek o.
41¶ Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42Nihcae loe patoeh ih kaminawk mah patuk ih loknawk to kacakah patawnh o, maeto hoi maeto angkomhaih tawnh o pacoengah, takaw a aeh hoi lawkthuihaih doeh kapet ai ah sak o.
42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43Hinghaih tawn kami boih mah zithaih to tawnh o: patoeh ih kaminawk mah paroeai dawnrai koi kaom hmuen hoi angmathaihnawk to sak o.
43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44Tanghaih tawn kaminawk boih nawnto oh o moe, a tawnh o ih hmuennawk boih nawnto patoh o;
44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45a tawnh o ih hmuennawk to zawh o moe, angtoenghaih baktiah kaminawk boih hanah pazet o.
45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men , as every man had need.
46Nihcae loe nithokkruek tempul thungah poek amhonghaih hoiah oh o, im maeto pacoeng maeto takaw a aeh o moe, kawnhaih palungthin hoiah a caak o,
46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47Sithaw to pakoeh o moe, kaminawk boih koehhaih baktih toengah khosak o. Sithaw mah nithokkruek kricabu thungah pahlonghaih hnu kaminawk to pungsak.
47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
