1David mah Israel angraengnawk boih, acaeng zaehoikung, siangpahrang toksah misatuh angraengnawk, sangto hoi cumvaito ukkung misatuh angraengnawk, hmuenmaenawk boih khenzawnkung, siangpahrang hoi a capanawk ih hmuenmae khenzawnkung, siangpahrang imthung ah toksah angraengnawk, thacak kaminawk hoi misahoih misatuh kaminawk boih Jerusalem ah nawnto amkhuengsak.
1Now David summoned all the leaders of Israel to Jerusalem: the leaders of the tribes, the leaders of the divisions in the king’s service, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of all the property and cattle of the king and his sons, along with the court officials and mighty men—every mighty man of valor.
2David siangpahrang loe angdoet moe, Kam nawkamya hoi kaimah ih kaminawk, ka lok hae tahngai oh; aicae Sithaw khok koenghaih hoi Angraeng lokkamhaih thingkhong suekhaih im sak hanah poekhaih ka tawnh pongah, im sak hanah kam sak coek boeh;
2Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the covenant of the LORD and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build it,
3toe Sithaw mah kai khaeah, Nang loe misatuh kami hoi athii palongh kami ah na oh pongah, Ka hmin hanah nang mah im na sah mak ai, tiah ang naa.
3but God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for My Name, because you are a man of war who has spilled blood.’
4Toe Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah, Israel siangpahrang ah oh poe hanah, kam pa ih imthung takoh boih thung hoiah kai hae ang qoih boeh; zaehoikung ah oh hanah anih mah Judah to qoih boeh; Judah imthung takoh thung hoiah kam pa imthung takoh to a qoih; kam pa ih capanawk thung hoiah kai hae Israelnawk boih ukkung siangpahrang ah ang paek.
4Yet the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah He chose my father’s household, and from my father’s sons He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.
5Ka capanawk boih thungah, (Angraeng mah kai hanah pop parai capa ang paek), Angraeng ukhaih prae ih angraeng tangkhang nuiah anghnut moe, Israel to uk hanah ka capa Solomon to a qoih boeh;

8So now in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your descendants forever.
9Nang ka capa, Solomon, nam pa ih Sithaw to panoek ah loe, poekhaih boih hoi palungthin tang hoiah anih ih tok to sah ah; Angraeng loe kaminawk boih ih palungthin to pakrong, kami palung thung ih poekhaihnawk to panoek boih; anih to na pakrong nahaeloe, na hnu tih; toe anih to na caeh taak nahaeloe, anih mah nang to dungzan khoek to na pahnawt sut tih.
9As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
10Vaihi acoe ah; hmuenciim im sak hanah Angraeng mah nang ang qoih boeh; na thacakhaih hoiah tok to sah ah, tiah a naa.
