1Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song— His praise in the assembly of the godly.
1Ἀλληλούϊα. Ἄσατε τῷ Κυρίῳ ᾆσμα καινόν· ἡ αἴνεσις αὐτοῦ ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ ὁσίων.
2Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.
2Εὐφρανθήτω Ἰσραὴλ ἐπὶ τῷ ποιήσαντι αὐτὸν, καὶ υἱοὶ Σιὼν ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν ἐπὶ τῷ βασιλεῖ αὐτῶν.
3Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.
3Αἰνεσάτωσαν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐν χορῷ, ἐν τυμπάνῳ καὶ ψαλτηρίῳ ψαλάτωσαν αὐτῷ.
4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation.
4Ὅτι εὐδοκεῖ Κύριος ἐν λαῷ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὑψώσει πρᾳεῖς ἐν σωτηρίᾳ.
5Let the saints exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.
5Καυχήσονται ὅσιοι ἐν δόξῃ, καὶ ἀγαλλιάσονται ἐπὶ τῶν κοιτῶν αὐτῶν.
6May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a double-edged sword in their hands,
6Αἱ ὑψώσεις τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐν λάρυγγι αὐτῶν, καὶ ῥομφαῖαι δίστομοι ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῶν·
7to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,
7Τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐκδίκησιν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, ἐλεγμοὺς ἐν τοῖς λαοῖς·
8to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with shackles of iron,
8Τοῦ δῆσαι τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν ἐν πέδαις, καὶ τοὺς ἐνδόξους αὐτῶν ἐν χειροπέδαις σιδηραῖς·
9to execute the judgment written against them. This honor is for all His saints. Hallelujah!
9Τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς κρίμα ἔγγραπτον· δόξα αὕτη ἐστὶ πᾶσι τοῖς ὁσίοις αὐτοῦ.
