Hebrews 5

Berean Standard Bible
Asang Khongca Bible (Eastern Khumi Chin, 2019)
1Every high priest is appointed from among men to represent them in matters relating to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.
1Kaminawk salak hoi qoih ih qaimanawk boih loe, kaminawk ih zaehaih pongah Sithaw khaeah tangqum hoiah angbawnhaih sak pae hanah tok to paek ah oh:
2He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and misguided, since he himself is beset by weakness.
2qaima angmah to doeh thazokhaih to tawnh toeng pongah, kamthu hoi loklam amkhraeng kaminawk nuiah tahmenhaih a tawnh.
3That is why he is obligated to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.
3To pongah anih loe minawk han hoi angmah hanah doeh zae angbawnhaih to sak han angaih.
4No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was.
4Sithaw mah Aron kawk baktih toengah, Sithaw mah kawk ih kami ai ah loe, mi mah doeh angmah koehah hae baktih kalen qaima tok hae sah thai ai.
5So also Christ did not take upon Himself the glory of becoming a high priest, but He was called by the One who said to Him: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.”
5To baktih toengah Kri doeh angmah koehah kalen koek qaima ah om ai; Sithaw mah ni Anih khaeah, Nang loe ka Capa ah na oh, nang loe vaihniah kang tapen, tiah thuih.
6And in another passage God says: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”
6Cabu thung ih ahmuen maeto ah loe Sithaw mah, Nang loe Melkisedik baktiah dungzan qaima ah na oh, tiah thuih let.
7During the days of Jesus’ earthly life, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence.
7Jesu loe taksa ah oh naah, duekhaih thung hoi pahlong thaih Sithaw khaeah, tha hoi hangh moe, mikkhraetui hoiah tahmen hnikhaih lawk to thuih; Sithaw zithaih hoiah kho a sak pongah lawkthuihaih lok to Sithaw mah tahngaih pae;
8Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered.
8Anih loe Capa ah oh, toe patangkhanghaih hoiah lok tahngaihaih to amtuk;
9And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him
9to pongah anih loe akoephaih to hnuk moe, Anih tang kaminawk boih khaeah dungzan pahlonghaih paekkung ah oh;
10and was designated by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
10Melkisedik baktiah Jesu loe Sithaw mah kawk ih kalen koek qaima ah oh boeh.
11We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain, because you are dull of hearing.
11To kami kawng thuih han vop mang vop, toe na thaih o kop ai pongah, thuih han rai parai.
12Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to reteach you the basic principles of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food!
12Vaihi loe patukkung ah na oh o han atue mah phak boeh, toe nangcae hanah Sithaw lok takung hoi patuk let kami to angaih vop; nangcae loe buh kaham caa ai ah, tahnutui ni na naek o han angai vop.
13For everyone who lives on milk is still an infant, inexperienced in the message of righteousness.
13Tahnutui nae kami loe, nawkta ah oh pongah, toenghaih lok amtukhaih bangah panoekhaih tawn ai.
14But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil.
14Buh kaham loe kasae kahoih pathlaeng thaih, panoekhaih katawn, saning coeh kaminawk han ih ni oh.
