Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
1After Rehoboam had established his sovereignty and royal power, he and all Israel with him forsook the Law of the LORD.
1Tukunna Rehoboam el oakiya ku lun tokosra lal, el ac mwet lal nukewa mutawauk in ngetla liki Ma Sap lun LEUM GOD .
2In the fifth year of Rehoboam’s reign, because they had been unfaithful to the LORD, Shishak king of Egypt came up and attacked Jerusalem
2In yac aklimekosr ma Rehoboam el tokosra, kaiyuk elos ke sripen elos pilesrala LEUM GOD . Tokosra Shishak lun Egypt el utyak lain acn Jerusalem.
3with 1,200 chariots, 60,000 horsemen, and countless troops who came with him out of Egypt—Libyans, Sukkites, and Cushites.
3Pisen chariot ke un mwet mweun lal uh sun sie tausin luofoko, oayapa onngoul tausin mwet kasrusr fin horse, ac pisen mwet mweun lal uh tia ku in oaoala, weang pac mwet mweun lun acn Libya, Sukkiim, ac Ethiopia.
4He captured the fortified cities of Judah and came as far as Jerusalem.
4El sruokya siti ma kuhlusyukyak lun acn Judah, ac som na nwe Jerusalem.
5Then Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah who had gathered at Jerusalem because of Shishak, and he said to them, “This is what the LORD says: ‘You have forsaken Me; therefore, I have forsaken you into the hand of Shishak.’”
5Shemaiah mwet palu el som nu yorol Tokosra Rehoboam ac mwet kol lun acn su tukeni in acn Jerusalem ke elos kaingkunul Shishak. El fahk nu selos, “Pa inge kas lun LEUM GOD nu suwos, ‘Kowos sisyula tari, na pa nga ac eiskowosyang nu inpaol Shishak.’”
6So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The LORD is righteous.”
6Na tokosra ac mwet kol lal elos fahkak lah pwaye elos orekma koluk, ac elos fahk, “Ma LEUM GOD El oru inge fal.”
7When the LORD saw that they had humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them, but will soon grant them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.
7Ke LEUM GOD El liye ma inge, El sifilpa kaskas nu sel Shemaiah ac fahk, “Mweyen elos fahkak ma koluk lalos, nga ac fah tia kunauselosla nukewa. Ke Shishak el ac mweunelos, mwet pu na selos ac fah moul. Acn Jerusalem ac fah tia pulakin nufon kasrkusrak luk,
8Nevertheless, they will become his servants, so that they may learn the difference between serving Me and serving the kings of other lands.”
8ac Shishak el ac kutangulosla, na elos ac fah akilenak lah oasr ekla inmasrlon moul in kulansap nu sik ac moul in kulansap nu sin mwet kol lun faclu.”
9So King Shishak of Egypt attacked Jerusalem and seized the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the royal palace. He took everything, including the gold shields that Solomon had made.
9Tokosra Shishak el tuku nu Jerusalem ac usla ma saok liki Tempul ac liki lohm sin tokosra. El usla ma nukewa, weang pac mwe loang gold ma Tokosra Solomon el tuh orala.
10Then King Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place and committed them to the care of the captains of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace.
10In aolla ma inge, Rehoboam el orala mwe loang bronze, ac sang nu sin mwet kol su topang ke mutunpot nu inkul sin tokosra.
11And whenever the king entered the house of the LORD, the guards would go with him, bearing the shields, and later they would return them to the guardroom.
11Pacl nukewa tokosra el ac som nu ke Tempul, mwet topang inge ac us mwe loang uh welul, na elos ac sifil folokunla nu infukil sin mwet topang uh.
12Because Rehoboam humbled himself, the anger of the LORD turned away from him, and He did not destroy him completely. Indeed, conditions were good in Judah.
12Ke sripen Rehoboam el sifacna akpusiselyal nu sin LEUM GOD , pwanang kasrkusrak lun LEUM GOD forla lukel ac tia arulana kunausulla, ac ma nukewa sifilpa wola nu sin Judah.
13Thus King Rehoboam established himself in Jerusalem. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel in which to put His Name. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite.
13Rehoboam el leum in acn Jerusalem, ac yokyokelik ku lun tokosra lal. El yac angngaul sie ke el mutawauk in tokosra, ac el tokosra in acn Jerusalem ke yac singoul itkosr. Pa inge siti se ma LEUM GOD El tuh sulela inmasrlon acn nukewa Israel tuh mwet uh in alu nu sel we. Nina kial Rehoboam pa Naamah, sie mutan in acn Ammon.
14And Rehoboam did evil because he did not set his heart to seek the LORD.
14Rehoboam el oru ma koluk, mweyen el tia srike in suk ma lungse lun LEUM GOD .
15Now the acts of Rehoboam, from first to last, are they not written in the records of Shemaiah the Prophet and of Iddo the Seer concerning the genealogies? There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam throughout their days.
15Orekma lal Rehoboam ke mutawauk nwe ke safla, oayapa ma simla ke sou lal uh, oasr in Sramsram Matu lal Shemaiah Mwet Palu, ac ke Sramsram Matu lal Iddo, Mwet Liaten. Rehoboam ac Jeroboam eltal amweuni sie sin sie pacl nukewa.
16And Rehoboam rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And his son Abijah reigned in his place.
16Rehoboam el misa ac pukpuki inkulyuk lun tokosra in Siti sel David. Abijah, wen natul, el aolulla in tokosra.
