ʻIsikieli 25

Tongan Bible, Revised West Version
Berean Standard Bible
1Naʻe toe hoko foki ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kiate au, ʻo pehē,
1Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2“Foha ʻoe tangata, fakahanga ho mata ki he kau ʻAmoni, pea kikite kiate kinautolu;
2“Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites and prophesy against them.
3Pea ke pehē ki he kau ʻAmoni, Fanongo mai ki he folofola ʻa Sihova ko e ʻOtua; ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; koeʻuhi naʻa ke fakamaʻitoʻa mai ki hoku fale tapu ʻi hono fakalieliaʻi; pea ki he fonua ʻo ʻIsileli ʻi hono fakalala; pea ki he fale ʻo Siuta ʻi hono ʻave ʻakinautolu ke fakapōpulaʻi;
3Tell the Ammonites to hear the word of the Lord GOD, for this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you exclaimed, “Aha!” when My sanctuary was profaned, when the land of Israel was laid waste, and when the house of Judah went into exile,
4therefore I will indeed give you as a possession to the people of the East. They will set up their camps and pitch their tents among you. They will eat your fruit and drink your milk.
5Pea te u ngaohi ʻa Lepaa ko e fale kāmeli, pea ko ʻAmoni ko e nofoʻanga ʻoe fanga sipi; pea te mou ʻilo ko Sihova au.
5I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and Ammon a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’
6He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; koeʻuhi kuo ke pasi ho nima, mo malaki ʻaki ho vaʻe, pea ke fiefia ʻi loto, ko e meʻa ʻi hoʻo fehiʻa lahi ki he fonua ʻo ʻIsileli;
6For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you clapped your hands and stomped your feet and rejoiced over the land of Israel with a heart full of contempt,
7Vakai, ko ia ia te u mafao atu ai hoku nima kiate koe, pea te u tuku koe ke veteki ʻe he kakai hiteni; pea te u motuhi ʻakimoutolu mei he kakai, pea te u pule ke ke ʻosiʻosi mei he ngaahi fonua: Te u fakaʻauha koe; pea te ke ʻilo ko Sihova au.”
7therefore I will indeed stretch out My hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the LORD.’
8¶ ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua: “Koeʻuhi ʻoku pehē ʻe Moape, pea mo Seia, Vakai, ʻoku tatau ʻae fale ʻo Siuta mo e hiteni kotoa pē;
8This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because Moab and Seir said, “Look, the house of Judah is like all the other nations,”
9Ko ia, vakai, Te u fakaava ʻae feituʻu ʻo Moape mei hono ngaahi kolo, ʻae kolo ʻoku ʻi he ngataʻanga ʻo hono fonua, ʻaia ko e ongoongolelei ʻoe fonua, ʻa Pete-Sesimote mo Pealimeoni, mo Kiliatemi,
9therefore I will indeed expose the flank of Moab beginning with its frontier cities—Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim—the glory of the land.
10Ki he kakai mei he potu hahake ke nau maʻu ia mo e kau ʻAmoni, koeʻuhi ke ʻoua naʻa toe manatuʻi ʻae kau ʻAmoni ʻi he ngaahi puleʻanga.
10I will give it along with the Ammonites as a possession to the people of the East, so that the Ammonites will no longer be remembered among the nations.
11Pea te u fai ʻae tautea ki Moape pea te nau ʻilo ko Sihova au.”
11So I will execute judgments on Moab, and they will know that I am the LORD.’
12¶ ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Ko e meʻa kuo fai ʻe ʻItomi ki he fale ʻo Siuta ʻi heʻene tautea ia, pea kuo ne fai hala ʻaupito, mo fakafāsifasi ia kiate kinautolu;
12This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because Edom acted vengefully against the house of Judah, and in so doing incurred grievous guilt,
13therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: I will stretch out My hand against Edom and cut off from it both man and beast. I will make it a wasteland, and from Teman to Dedan they will fall by the sword.
14I will take My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel, and they will deal with Edom according to My anger and wrath. Then they will know My vengeance, declares the Lord GOD.’
15¶ ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Koeʻuhi kuo fai fakafasifasi ʻae kau Filisitia, ʻonau fai ʻae tautea mo e loto fehiʻa, ke fakaʻauha ia ʻi he fehiʻa ʻe ʻikai ngata;
15This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because the Philistines acted in vengeance, taking vengeance with malice of soul to destroy Judah with ancient hostility,
16Ko ia ʻoku pehē ai ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; Vakai, te u mafao atu ʻeau hoku nima ki he kakai Filisitia, pea teu motuhi ʻae kakai Keliti, mo fakaʻauha ʻa hono toe ʻoku ʻi he matātahi.
16therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites and destroy the remnant along the coast.
17Pea te u fai ʻae totongi lahi kiate kinautolu mo e valoki kakaha; pea te nau ʻilo ko au ko Sihova, ʻo kau ka tuku atu hoku houhau kiate kinautolu.”
17I will execute great vengeance against them with furious reproof. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay My vengeance upon them.’”
