1Pea ko e tāpuaki eni, ʻaia naʻe tāpuakiʻi ʻaki ʻe Mōsese ko e tangata ʻoe ʻOtua ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻi he teʻeki ai mate ia.
1This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced upon the Israelites before his death.
2Pea naʻa ne pehē ʻe ia, naʻe hāʻele mai ʻa Sihova mei Sainai, pea tuʻu hake mei Seia kiate kinautolu; naʻe ulo mai ʻe ia mei he moʻunga ko Palani, pea naʻe hāʻele mai ia mo e ngaahi toko mano ʻoe kau māʻoniʻoni; naʻe ʻalu atu mei hono nima toʻomataʻu ʻae fono fakavela maʻanautolu.
2He said: “The LORD came from Sinai and dawned upon us from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran and came with myriads of holy ones, with flaming fire at His right hand.
3ʻIo, naʻa ne ʻofa ki he kakai; ko ʻene kakai māʻoniʻoni kotoa pē naʻe ʻi hono nima: pea naʻa nau nofo hifo ki hono vaʻe; ʻe maʻu taki taha kotoa pē ʻa ʻene ngaahi folofola.
3Surely You love the people; all the holy ones are in Your hand, and they sit down at Your feet; each receives Your words—
4Naʻe fekau ʻe ia ʻae fono kiate kitautolu, ʻio ko e tofiʻa ʻoe fakataha ʻo Sēkope.
4the law that Moses gave us, the possession of the assembly of Jacob.
5Pea ko e tuʻi ia ʻi Sesuluni, ʻi he fakataha ʻoe ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe kakai mo e ngaahi faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsileli.
5So the LORD became King in Jeshurun when the leaders of the people gathered, when the tribes of Israel came together.
6¶ “Tuku ke moʻui ʻa Lupeni, pea ʻoua naʻa mate; pea ʻoua naʻa tokosiʻi hono kau tangata.”
6Let Reuben live and not die, nor his men be few.”
7¶ Pea koeʻuhi ko Siuta: naʻa ne pehē, “ʻE Sihova, ke ke fanongo ki he leʻo ʻo Siuta, pea ʻomi ia ki hono kakai: tuku ke mālohi hono nima kiate ia; pea ke ke ʻiate ia ko e tokoni mei hono ngaahi fili.”
7And concerning Judah he said: “O LORD, hear the cry of Judah and bring him to his people. With his own hands he defends his cause, but may You be a help against his foes.”
8¶ Pea naʻe lea kia Livai, ʻo pehē, “Ko ho Tumemi mo ho ʻUlimi ke ʻi he tokotaha māʻoniʻoni, ʻaia naʻa ke ʻahiʻahiʻi ʻi Masa, mo ia naʻa mo fekuki foki, ʻi he vai ʻo Melipa;
8Concerning Levi he said: “Give Your Thummim to Levi and Your Urim to Your godly one, whom You tested at Massah and contested at the waters of Meribah.
9ʻAia naʻa ne lea ki heʻene tamai pea ki heʻene faʻē, naʻe ʻikai te u mamata kiate ia; pea naʻe ʻikai te ne tui foki ki hono ngaahi kāinga, pe ʻiloʻi ʻene fānau ʻaʻana: he kuo nau tokanga ki hoʻo folofola, pea tauhi hoʻo fuakava.
9He said of his father and mother, ‘I do not consider them.’ He disregarded his brothers and did not know his own sons, for he kept Your word and maintained Your covenant.
10Tenau akonakiʻi ʻa Sēkope ʻi hoʻo ngaahi fakamaau, mo ʻIsileli ʻi hoʻo fono: tenau ʻai ʻae meʻa namu kakala ʻi ho ʻao, mo e feilaulau tutu kotoa ki ho feilaulauʻanga.
10He will teach Your ordinances to Jacob and Your law to Israel; he will set incense before You and whole burnt offerings on Your altar.
11ʻE Sihova, ke ke tāpuaki ʻene meʻa, mo ke maʻu ʻae ngāue ʻa hono nima: tā ke ʻasi ʻi he fasiʻatuʻa ʻokinautolu ʻoku tuʻu hake kiate ia, pea mo kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate ia, ke ʻoua naʻa nau toetuʻu hake.”
11Bless his substance, O LORD, and accept the work of his hands. Smash the loins of those who rise against him, and of his foes so they can rise no more.”
12¶ Pea naʻe lea ia kia Penisimani ʻo pehē, “Ko e ʻofeina ʻia SIHOVA, te na nonofo lelei mo ia; pea ʻe maluʻi ia ʻi he ʻaho kotoa, pea ʻe nofo ia ʻi he vahaʻa ʻo hono uma.”
12Concerning Benjamin he said: “May the beloved of the LORD rest secure in Him; God shields him all day long, and upon His shoulders he rests.”
13¶ Pea naʻe lea ia kia Siosefa, ʻo pehē, “Ke monūʻia ʻia Sihova ʻa hono fonua, ʻi he ngaahi meʻa maʻongoʻonga ʻoe langi, pea ʻi he hahau, pea ʻi he loloto ʻaia ʻoku tokoto ʻi lalo,
13Concerning Joseph he said: “May his land be blessed by the LORD with the precious dew from heaven above and the deep waters that lie beneath,
14Pea ʻi he ngaahi fua maʻongoʻonga ʻoku langaʻi ʻe he laʻā, pea ʻi he ngaahi meʻa maʻongoʻonga ʻoku fakatupu ʻe he ngaahi māhina,
14with the bountiful harvest from the sun and the abundant yield of the seasons,
15Pea ʻi he ngaahi meʻa fungani lelei ʻoe ngaahi moʻunga ʻi muʻa ʻi muʻa, pea ʻi he ngaahi meʻa maʻongoʻonga ʻoe ngaahi tafungofunga tolonga maʻu pe,
15with the best of the ancient mountains and the bounty of the everlasting hills,
16Pea ʻi he ngaahi meʻa maʻongoʻonga ʻoe fonua mo hono fonu ʻo ia, pea ʻi he finangalo lelei ʻo ia naʻe nofo ʻi he ʻulu ʻakau: ke hoko ia ki he ʻulu ʻo Siosefa, pea ki he tumuʻaki ʻoe ʻulu ʻo ia naʻe fakamāvae mei hono kāinga.
16with the choice gifts of the land and everything in it, and with the favor of Him who dwelt in the burning bush. May these rest on the head of Joseph and crown the brow of the prince of his brothers.
17His majesty is like a firstborn bull, and his horns are like those of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even to the ends of the earth. Such are the myriads of Ephraim, and such are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18¶ Pea naʻe lea ia kia Sepuloni, “Ke ke fiefia, Sepuloni, ʻi hoʻo ʻalu atu; mo ʻIsaka, ʻi ho ngaahi fale fehikitaki.
18Concerning Zebulun he said: “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your journeys, and Issachar, in your tents.
19Tenau ui ʻae kakai ki he moʻunga tenau ʻatu ʻi ai ʻae ngaahi feilaulau ʻoe māʻoniʻoni: he tenau mimisiʻi mai ʻae koloa ʻoe tahi, pea mo e ngaahi koloa kuo fufū ʻi he ʻoneʻone.”
19They will call the peoples to a mountain; there they will offer sacrifices of righteousness. For they will feast on the abundance of the seas and the hidden treasures of the sand.”
20¶ Pea naʻe lea ia kia Kata, “Ke hoko ʻae tāpuaki kiate ia ʻoku ne fakalahi ʻa Kata: ʻoku nofo ia ʻo hangē ha laione, pea ʻoku ne haehae ʻae nima mo e tumuʻaki ʻoe ʻulu.
20Concerning Gad he said: “Blessed is he who enlarges the domain of Gad! He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or a head.
21Pea ʻoku ne tauhi ʻae ʻuluaki vahe maʻana, koeʻuhi naʻe tuku ia ʻi ai, ʻi he tufakanga, ʻoe ʻeiki fai fono; pea naʻe haʻu ia mo e ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe kakai, naʻa ne fai ʻae angatonu ʻa Sihova, mo ʻene ngaahi fakamaau mo ʻIsileli.”
21He chose the best land for himself, because a ruler’s portion was reserved for him there. He came with the leaders of the people; he administered the LORD’s justice and His ordinances for Israel.”
22¶ Pea naʻe lea ia kia Tani, ʻo pehē, “Ko e ʻuhiki laione ʻa Tani: ʻe hopo ia mei Pesani.”
22Concerning Dan he said: “Dan is a lion’s cub, leaping out of Bashan.”
23¶ Pea naʻe lea ia kia Nafitali, ʻo pehē, “ʻE Nafitali, ʻa koe kuo fakafiemālieʻi ʻi he ʻofa, pea fonu ʻi he tāpuaki ʻa Sihova: ke ke maʻu ʻe koe ʻae potu lulunga mo e tonga.”
23Concerning Naphtali he said: “Naphtali is abounding with favor, full of the blessing of the LORD; he shall take possession of the sea and the south.”
24¶ Pea naʻe lea ia kia ʻAseli, “Ke tāpuaki ʻaki ʻa ʻAseli ʻae ngaahi fānau, ke lelei ia ki hono ngaahi kāinga, pea ke unu ʻe ia hono vaʻe ʻi he lolo.
24And concerning Asher he said: “May Asher be the most blessed of sons; may he be the most favored among his brothers and dip his foot in oil.
25ʻE hoko ho topuvaʻe ko e ʻaione mo e palasa; pea ʻe tatau pe ho mālohi ki ho ngaahi ʻaho.”
25May the bolts of your gate be iron and bronze, and may your strength match your days.”
26¶ ʻOku ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻoku tatau mo e ʻOtua ʻo Sesuluni, ʻaia ʻoku heka ʻo hāʻele ʻi he ngaahi langi ko ho tokoni, pea ʻi hono lelei lahi ʻi he langi.
26“There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to your aid, and the clouds in His majesty.
27Ko e ʻOtua taʻengata ko ho hūfanga, pea ʻoku ʻi lalo ʻiate koe ʻae nima tolonga taʻengata, pea te ne tekeʻi kituaʻā ʻae fili mei ho ʻao; ʻo ne pehē, Fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu.
27The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He drives out the enemy before you, giving the command, ‘Destroy him!’
28ʻE toki nofo tokotaha fiemālie ai pe ʻa ʻIsileli: ko e matavai ʻo Sēkope ʻe ʻi he fonua ʻoe uite mo e uaine; pea ʻe tō hifo ʻae hahau ʻo hono langi foki.
28So Israel dwells securely; the fountain of Jacob lives untroubled in a land of grain and new wine, where even the heavens drip with dew.
29ʻOku ke monūʻia koe, ʻE ʻIsileli ko hai ʻoku tatau mo koe, ko e kakai kuo fakamoʻui ʻe Sihova, ko e fakaū ʻo ho tokoni, pea ko e heletā foki ʻo ho mālohi! Pea ʻe ʻilo ʻa ho ngaahi fili ko e kau loi kiate koe; pea te ke malaki ʻa honau ngaahi potu māʻolunga.
29Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD? He is the shield that protects you, the sword in which you boast. Your enemies will cower before you, and you shall trample their high places.”
